Maybe it's cause I'm an Aussie but a necessity in every nature pack is snake bandages, snake and spider identification books or apps - my oldest is obsessed with snakes and can very easily identify them and relocate the safer ones after we have a look at them.
Brand new to nature journaling! Do you think you can make a video about what a nature journal looks like and what kids if things we should encourage our children to consider and explore?
We are going to study botany next year so I enjoyed getting some ideas from this video for nature journaling. I especially enjoyed the art supplies you shared here. These look like a great alternative to arteza. Arteza is expensive! I put several of the supplies you shared on my list.
I love your channel so much. I am a first time homeschooler, and the information and ideas you share are so valuable. We are wrapping up our Gather Round unit on North American birds, and we went for a nature walk with a clipboard and pencils completing a checklist of different trees in our neighborhood. We have nature trails in our neighborhood, so it was really nice to just get off the road and listen to the birds, collect some leaves, and talk about what we learned. My daughter asked, “When can we do this again?,”. She loved it, and I am a nature lover, so I see this as a big part of our homeschool. Thank you for sharing this. ❤️
Wow! Thank you! How exciting that your homeschool is off to such a great start 👏🏼 We read the Burgess Bird Book several years ago and it really stuck with my kids. They still can name every bird in our neighborhood and more 😊
Do you paint with water in that black art pad? How well does it hold up getting wet? I followed the link to rainbow resource and it says for any dry media
