They've also had a powered anvil since part 1, so they could just repair them back to full durability anyway.

Actually, it’s only Unbreaking 10, so the chances of it breaking after just two hits are still very high. In fact, he’s actually right to be concerned about it. If the armor was at full durability, I would say he’s a fool for not wearing it, but with it at such low durability, he’s playing it smart by not wearing it. (Though I do agree he needs to use that powered anvil already to repair the damned things, or use the gemstones from the auto system to get some armor for himself)

@@tonywinters724 Dont forget that they have the powered anvil which makes durability a nonissue.

Especially considering one of the random events is a thermonuclear bomb.

@@CeilingNinja So the giant chance cube literally has one which it spawns a mansion in. Issue is it destroys a Huge area and deletes everything. Also one which it destroys a huge area (clears all blocks) Also one which it places a shit load of lava.

I assume they'll just tnt their way down to bedrock, and that'll just be the "chance pit".

The divine diamond gear won't even break, they have Unbreaking X on them, durability is irrelevant. But yes, power anvil will repair them as well.

They could also repair the party pickaxes with the diamond anvil

There is also a bauble that repairs any equipment you have and anyone's that is nearby. I found that last night when I played stoneblock from a loot chest.

@@frostblood2927 Unbreaking X armor will still break. The armor durability formula for Unbreaking is (60+40/(Level+1))% chance of receiving damage. That means that no matter what armor has a base 60% chance to take damage. The Reinforced modifier from Tinker's Construct however is just a flat chance of not receiving damage per level that stacks additively, meaning that you can stack enough levels to create unbreaking equipment.

Also it was a sort of pun on the fact that the chance cubes are shaped and designed like dice. You know? Chance cubes? Those super funny cubes that spawn random stuff when destroyed? Included in many minecraft mod packs? So commonly used in this series they appear in almost every episode?

Well as someone who has played this pack, i was like why are you making a nether portal, it doesn't exist. And there are many things that are being done wrong and i don't mind it, because it's a chaos and it's fun to watch them making that.

They did threaten to beat him back to his spawn. So they have already warned him, but I'm guessing his next death will still be followed by a long walk.

Absolutely, the minimum safe distance for normal chance cubes should be like 6 chunks away from anything you hold dear, and Giant Chance Cubes should be triple that. Even then there are some effects from them there is no safe distance for (like flipping your spawn).

Unbreaking X isn't unlimited durability, especially on armor. The formula for armor is (60+40/(1+Level))% Chance of taking durability damage, which means anything higher than Unbreaking I or II barely helps. Tools have it better, being (100/(1+Level))% chance to take damage, but still not unbreakable. For unbreakable tools you need an additively stacking modifier, like Reinforced from Tinker's Construct.

@@cameronwilsey9334 It is with those oens specifically. Unbreaking is a 10% chance per rank to not use durability. If you look at the tooltip for a even quarter second you'll see Unbreaking X on them. Otherwise known as unbreakable, and usually only accessible via admin commands or modded overenchanting.

@@frostblood2927 That's not how that works. On armour, the equation is 60 + (40 / {level+1}). Unbreaking 100 still has a 60.4% chance of taking a point of durability. You physically can't get more than a 40% chance of it not using durability (only an infinitely larger number will hit 40%). On tools, it's 100 / {level+1}, meaning that Unbreaking 99 still has a 1% chance of using durability.

@@frostblood2927 unbreakable is [100/(unbreaking level+1)] so unbreaking 10 would be make the item last 9 times as long and with 2 points of durability making it effectively only 18 hits at most. Likely breaking at 10.

@@Slimmeyy I stand corrected, then, and must have been confusing it with how it functions on Tinkers Construct tools where it actually DOES work how I claimed. I've used enough unbreakable mattocks in farming stations to know it works that way with Tinkers Construct.

They do still break even with Unbreaking X, the enchantment just makes it uncommon for them to take damage each time they normally would. With the diamond anvil he can repair them, but in their base state they will break on you after a handful of hits, or at least that has been my experience having played other mod-packs with loot boxes and the "Divine" items

@@kyle1078 (because I'm referencing his comment) For anyone who doesn't remember the order of operations, that is NOT the same thing as (100/(1+Level))%. Kyle is saying that the percentage chance for armor with Unbreaking X to take damage is 63.64%, and armor with Unbreaking I is 80%. In another comment, he mentioned that the enchantment on weapons works differently, with the equation being (100/(1+Level))%. Meaning on weapons, the chance for taking damaging at Unbreaking X is 9.09%, and at Unbreaking I is 50%. I'm spelling this out for people because I tend to assume that people don't type equations with the order of operations in mind, and I figure there might be others who do the same. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized he typed the equation exactly as it was supposed to be typed. Anyway, thanks Kyle! Interesting stuff to know.
