Is it me or have the skies become consistently cloudy? Bought a great telescope last November, 2023 and haven’t had enough cloudless nights to enjoy it.
Tough season with not many nebula. Chance to captur clusters. You think an Oiii Sii filter will help bring out the blue in the Beehive? I guess I should investigate the emission spectrum.
Not gonna lie, I’m here because on Friday, March 15 at around 11:00, most of the neighborhood in Washington that I’m in, saw this very strange rainbow colored thing that looked like a star, but through a telescope it looked a lot like a rainbow ripple. I don’t know if anybody else saw that but if you did, let me know because it strikes me as odd to see something like that in the sky. And weird thing was it was IN the atmosphere by the looks of it.
