We had a blast riding it at a skate boarding park but the board got pretty beat up. Longboards and especially electric longboards are better to ride on the boardwalk at the beach than a skate park.

I have punctured many of those 18650 type batteries, they only a produce a permanent marker smell, a few times stronger than a sharpie, and they heat up alot.

so Shonduras almost shorts out the battery by connecting wires together, then dad hammers a chisel just missing a lithium cell. i am no safety freak by any means but doing that with 3 faces right over the top of the battery, (one of those faces being a child) is so irresponsible. unless you understand how things work. dontt go chopping in to them.

Not trying to be mean but these guys clearly know nothing about electronics. The "AA Batteries" are capacitors, and I am just upset they destroyed the board. It could easily be fixed but hey the channel is about chopping stuff in half.

Boosted boards are faster, do not explode and are of more premium quality.

I don't think you have seen the Segway Mini Pro. It is one of the first good quality "Hoverboards" and that means it won't explode. It might not be as fast (10mph) but it has double the range(14miles) of the boosted board (7miles). Plus, like Sebastian mentioned, it is 300 dollars cheaper.

So many more things you can do on a Boosted Board. Mini pro is a late attempt by Segway to get into the Swegway market. Inside the house they are great, outdoors nothing currently beats the Boosted Board.

Looks like the bamboo deck is to to bouncy not what I'd want in a longboard. Also looks like the circuit board attached to the batteries is the charger controller and the other circuit board close to the motors is the speed controller. I'm wondering what type of electric motors are used and for what other applications can I find. I'd like to make my own the way I like.

Yea Lincoln doesn't add anything to the video but he isn't in the video to add content to it. You are seeing bonding time, a father and son doing things together that they enjoy and sharing it with us. He is just starting to grow into his own person and able to act how he want's versus being young and imitating other peoples behavior or worried about doing something wrong. He needs direction still and that's why he comes off as strange sometimes, give the kid time to grow.

Those lion batteries look like 26650 to power the motors and 18650 (the ones you called double AAs). You guys were brave! :-) When shorted out they are known to explode with a serious bang they pack some unbelievable power into them.

Man, I'm glad you got lucky and didn't penetrate those batteries with your haste. What you did was ridiculously dangerous specially around your kid. If you are going to open up other high powered devices please google Li Ion battery explosions.

Those motors have to be universal. I'm sure you can be upgraded and the battery as well since it's not a specific battery pack but just a bunch of cells.
