The cubing audience has completely died out and moved on. I miss the good old days in like 2019 watching tingman. You inspired me to start Competetive solving a few years ago. I might come back

I wouldn't say the audience has died, more so the community itself has grown older and doesn't really do it anymore. I used to watch RedKB, his videos were so good and entertaining, and then he just stopped making videos. And that's not just a cubing thing, that goes for all kinds of different channels. Like SeaNanners he stopped making videos years ago, when he created his own network thing. Alot of the people i watched 5-6 years ago just don't make videos anymore, which never really made sense, cause those channels were huge, and today they would be insane. As for Felix he's 30 years old now, and it's safe to say cubing is not his priority. The problem is that people get older and as you get older, you realize that responsibilities are more important than solving a puzzle, especially if you aren't making money off it. So what normally happens is the that the older people tend to move on it life, and are replaced by the youth. In your specific area there might not be any youth. I've bever been to competitions and i don't care to ever go, i'm too old. But i have met a total of 3 people in my life who can solve a rubicks cube.

Back in my day rubik's cubes were not a toy, the cube was built as a teaching tool to help erno's students understand 3D objects, his actual purpose was solving the structural problem of moving the parts independently without the entire mechanism falling apart.

The Dayan 2x2 should be a rare cube if I’m not wrong. Can’t buy it anywhere except maybe eBay now. The plastic is different from other cubes and it was then a highly sought after cube for comps and collecting before magnets was introduced.

Feliks is the reason i became a cubber. When i saw is legendary 4 second slove i knew i wanted to do that. So here im almost 6 years later. Will im better at 2x2 with a 4 second average and my pb is .88 now 3x3 im still at 40 to 30 seconds but im working on that. Thank you Felix you are a legend.
