I have a rare autoimmune disease called lichens sclerosis, so I can’t go in water that isn’t like bath water or completely fresh water, I got it at the age of 7, The fact that your kids and everyone around it loved it so so much warms my heart, others enjoy these things so much. It makes me feel good that people really embrace these things, and I felt like I was there with you actually in it, so thanks if this made any sense :3

This isn't an actual water elevator, they call it that because that is essentially what it's doing, but it's actually just a small floating dock inside of a tiny man made river lock (for a much larger example see the Panama Canal). There are however actual elevators that operate on water powered hydraulic pressure, and using just the pressure from the city water lines they can generate enough force to lift a freight elevator with an actual car inside. An elevator like that can be operated simply by manually opening and closing valves by hand if needed, but nowadays those valves are usually converted to operate electrically, if said elevator is allowed to operate at all considering most of those were originally created in the late 1800s/early 1900s.

That water elevator would be great for every type of waterpark to help people with physical disabilities! This is definitely a very unique piece, I’d love to see more of these installed in water parks. I’m an elevator enthusiast and I am also in a wheelchair and I’ve been doing RU-vid videos for six years now. So what I do in my videos is I do a complete review on the elevator going over all the specifications of it while taking it up and down a couple times, I can tell you one thing and that is that you definitely learn a lot about how these elevators work. But I must say for a 1991 water elevator, this is by far and invention way ahead of its time! I’d love to take a ride on it, hopefully I’ll get to Hawaii someday.

Same principle as a lock, which raises or lowers boats as they traverse river or canal systems. The Panama Canal has quite a few.

This place is on my bucket list! I'm in a wheelchair and on the heavier side so it's hard to pick me up but I really want to go on some slides. Wish the lip to go down the slide was a bit shorter though.
