As US Military I've been Korea, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, England, and Germany. I have my passport I can't wait to travel as a retiree.

The trip I'll remember for the rest of my life was my very first solo trip to Paris at the age of 17. Geez.. what was I thinking back then? :D lt was super silly of me to travel totally alone but well... life is an adventure!

Maybe the French improved by the time you got there. First time I was there was back in the '90s I ran into an American woman on the trip from Paris to Switzerland she said she was in the army and wanted to see the Eiffel Tower but no one would give her directions. She even went to the metro and spoke to the clerk and used hand signals showing the height to no avail. Since then I read that the French government said they aim to do better with tourists. Also one news program they secretly recorded waiters while they were served. They showed that the waiters were not really interested in serving their customers well. One of the reasons is that Paris is a top destination for tourists so they figure they don't need to put much effort to please anyone. And if you don't come someone else will come. I stayed with a French girl so I was lucky. She took me out to the restaurants a few times but she became annoying. When i took out my translation book (yeah back in those days no smart phone to translate) she would tap my hand and tell me put that book away that's what she is there for to translate.

My first trip was coming to US as a toddler (age 2)! My only memory of that trip is my mom's baby blue travel suit and a vague deja vu feeling of the inside of an airplane ... you know, being surrounded by lots of seats and people, and the warning bells to put on your seatbelt or the call light.

I’m in the military and I’ve been to Thailand, Hong Kong, Bahrain, and Japan. I need to get my passport, I still don’t have one 😩. I love Asian countries, the countries I’d like to go to are, India, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia and Taiwan. I want to also go to London, Amsterdam, Denmark, Switzerland, Paris, Morocco, and Iceland lol, whew 😅. I traveled without a passport to the other countries because I was on a ship when I went there so it doesn’t require u to come into the country with a passport. So all the places I’ve named looks like I need to get started lol. Traveling just makes u such a more well rounded person. I recommend everyone to get outside your box and travel! It’s amazing!

Your Chinese stamp was from transfer visa from Pudong airport, Shanghai. The triangular stamp is probably an exit stamp from Malaysia if not Singapore.

That's interesting. Your traveling adventures all started with a church trip to Costa Rica. And now you travel all over the world. It was all meant for you. I gotten my passport back in 2012. It took about 2 weeks.

Journey down the memory lane. I really like these kinds of things. I do have a passport. I have yet to use it. There are things I want to accomplish in my home country, before I can think about traveling long term, but I do have some short term travel plans.

I know it would take up some time but it would be great when you reminisce about some of the places you visited like the Philippines or Taiwan to include short clips while you talk. That would increase the quality of your videos. First trip on my American passport was to England same year the hit song Every Breath You Take by the The Police came out. I was in a taxi heading home from the airport and I heard that song for the first time. So anyone who can figure out the year will have the correct answer.

Went to Toronto, Ontario in Dec. 2007. Saw my first snowfall ever. The next place I'm itching to visit is Tokyo, Japan.

The first trip I received a stamp for on my passport was Jamaica. It was kind of weird because I think my passport was stamped when I came back to the U.S. But when I went to Japan last year, it was stamped inside and I have a visa for that time period. My first trip without a passport was to Mexico and that was before passports were required I believe.

I'm now using my 2nd passport. I got my first passport for relationship reasons LOL - to make sure my girlfriend, at the time, wouldn't cheat on me in her home country, Mexico. So, thanks to that stupid reason, I fell in love with traveling abroad and learning different languages. With the first passport, I went to Mexico, Canada, France, Spain, and Italy. With my 2nd and current passport, I went back to Europe and visited Portugal, Austria, the Netherlands/Holland, Belgium, Hungary, Czech Republic, most of the UK (England, Scotland, and Wales), southern Ireland, and lived in southern Italy and England. Now I live in Germany and love it here. I want to visit Greece and Switzerland next. My last dream, though, is to live and die in southern Italy; that's where my heart is. However, it's hard for Americans to live and work there without a company sponsor, marriage or kinship to an Italian, EU citizenship, or loads of money. I'm still working hard to making my dream a reality, though.

I'm on my third passport and it's pretty empty. I went to Canada recently but they didn't stamp my passport :(. I was actually disappointed with that.

They would stamp it if you ask them. Sometimes it's good to have documentation you were out of the country. Not stamping moves the line along faster.

I went to Lagos, Nigeria and Paris, France. I would love to live and teach in Asia, preferably S. Korea or Taiwan but was told I'm probably too old to get work in those countries. I kind of got a late start in traveling due to family issues.
