Those slabs are awesome. I am so happy for you. At about 10:42, the slab you are holding, looks like there is an eye, nose, and mouth on the left side, and the rest of it looks like a large head.

WOW! Those slices are beauties!I have obtained a 14 inch saw,and have hesitated about running it,because we plan on moving.I even have the oil. I need to get off my butt and start cutting my pet wood! Watching you slab agates is motivational for me! That really was an incredibly gorgeous set of cuts. You should do like a lead edging (like with stained glass) and attach a loop at the top so they can be hung in windows!

You could scan those slices and make desk top backgrounds out of them. It's natures art. You could also take small pieces of the larger scans, convert them to jpegs, and insert them into a word document as boarders for your own stationary.

I have the same rock saw, but with a plexiglass top. If you drain the old oil in a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit for about 6 months or a year, you can end up reusing about 75% of it as the sediment sinks to the bottom. pour it through a coffee filter and it can be reused with no problem. I use canola oil.

Fantastic -yeah and I too, would have been excited to see how each slither looks cut & up in the light. I must get me one of those saws. It's the only thing in life which I'm lacking (?) Thanks for the info. Those slabs you cut were beautiful. Occasionally I have found some intersting stones here too; Dorset coast UK. Yeah, Gotta get one of those. Though it does seem a little bulky.. ..Cheers.

Rocks like that are fairly common in Wisconsin on the shore of the peninsula - with divits revealing quartz. It never occurred to me that they could be cross sectioned.

HaPpY NeW YeAr 2021. Wow KatyDid well! The slabs you cut from the amazing agate find, are unbelievable. I could spend hours looking at each slab. When you were showing them I saw faces, swooping canyons, knarly swirly water twists and turns like the great Grand Canyon where walls of mountain are carved out by raging storm water. I saw a planetary system with a falling star piercing through a ringed haze. I saw images over an Amazon River you would think were captured by a drone. On the first slab I saw Jesus on a cross in a white void of clouds? The second slab had caves with a view of ocean waves in the distance as if you were in the cave looking out. I'm mesmerized by the awesomeness of the slabs. Like said at the beginning of this "KatyDid Well", very well indeed. FYI: I was not on drugs or medications, nor drinking spirits or any other vices. This is what I call 'An Artist Eye'. It's like using your Minds Eye. You do too Katy, I can tell. Well I enjoyed this video thoroughly, and I Thank You so much ;)

Nature at it's best! I'm always stunned by the inner beauty of rocks. I have a small collection,... and have visited Knott's Berry Farms onsite museum many times as well the museum of Science and Natural history at USC. Just amazing how your stone resembles Japanese (or Chinese,... not sure) paintings! Great fun watching you guys,... makes me want to get a saw!
