The story she told about the missile reminded me so much of one my grandfather told me once. He was a navigator in an RF-4C in Vietnam and he always talked about how important trust was between the pilot and navigator, especially when you're unarmed. He said the closest he ever came to dying was a situation just like she described, they were locked onto by a surface-air missile and he made a call to his pilot to break left and because he acted without any hesitation that's the only reason they survived
She didn't tell them what to think or do. She did exactly what they did: put nude pictures of the opposite sex as the background/screensaver without any regard for what others would think. She obviously fit right in.
@@LTCTTM It's a lot more difficult than you might imagine, there isn't a lot of room in the cockpit for changes and the seat itself is a complex device rigorously designed to take the extreme stresses of flight and more importantly, ejection. Refitting the seats for a new model would cost billions in research, testing, manufacture and fitting so I'd assume that they're holding off until they absolutely have to in typical military fashion because of the relatively low percentage of female fighter pilots. They'll have acknowledged the problem and tried all the easy fixes they can think of but if none of them work then they'll just say "I'm sorry but you're just going to have to deal with it. (P.S Don't crash they plane, they're expensive)"
@@DjDolHaus86 There's more than one way to skin a cat. Replacing the seat would be completely ridiculous. A relatively simple device that directs urine into the sponge bag could do the trick.
Who ever gets to work with or under this amazing Woman is bloody lucky. This is the kind of person that makes a lasting impression on people, I am so grateful she is teaching.
I love the passion in her voice whiles telling her incredible story Massive respect to this incredible lady I would love to here more stories like this
Lol...every story she told made her look incompetent ...stripping off for a pi55 in the MIDDLE of a combat mission...shouting at her navigator to STFU when he was trying to warn her of danger and putting on her NVG because someone told her not too and nearly blinded herself...and i'm only halfway thru....
I hope you're reading this, I just want to say what amazing experiences you've had. Trually amazing individual, I wish you all the best and thank you for your service
I remember the jets flying in to do a show of force to allow my callsign to extract out a compound under taliban fire. Was pretty awesome to watch. Maybe it was her 😂
Smart lady. I was a police training officer when women first went on patrol. My best advice was "Your feminity can be a great asset. You wont outswear, outfight or outrun all the men but if you outthink the physical types you wont have to". Use tactics, positioning, safety procedures, psychology to offset any difference in physical size. Most of the men who have to fight and run often havent made good use of their other options.
She is a Woman and a Fighter, that is very admirable, she felt bad for her target, women are more reasonable than men and that is what a force always needs no matter what conflict. Woman gave birth to us all.
I would have absolutely loved to do this job. I met with an officer recruitment guy and met with a medic. Unfortunately my spine was not suitable for me to join. I was gutted.
