What's It Like To Go Rallying In A Super Car? 

Instead of the first 20 seconds being only car noise, can you make the first 20 seconds into you making the car noise with your mouth?

For some trivia facts, i found some infos about the rally version of the M1: The car was created by Oreca, the french team, with support of BMW France, to have some publicity with rallying, since the sport being very popular in the 70's, especially in France, since the national championship had almost all rounds on tarmac. It used parts of the Procar for the engine, which explain it's massive power. But the car was very unreliable, and for rally, the chassis was too large and too long, even for tarmac. The best result the M1 Rally has achieved is a second place at Rallye Vorderplafz 1982 in german championship with Klaus Fritzinger, an ex-football player turned rally driver, and at Rallye d'Antibes in 1984, counted for both european and french championship, with Bernard Béguin, who later win the Tour de Corse in 1987 with the M3. Otherwise, every other result of this car are DNF's, despite being driven by Béguin and Bernard Darniche, very experienced drivers and winner of WRC events. The M1 was in WRC only for Corsica in 1982 and 1983. Two DNF. But the car was very succesful in Hillclimbs in Europe. That's the story of this T H I C C B O I

its about as quick as most group b cars. feels slower for acceleration but on the long straight in the 3mile spain stage it still gets 120-130mph

Gotta say. The pedal camera is a lot more interesting then the car camera. Its like dancing lol.

This is a Group B car although only RWD and it really rallied in real life, possibly only as mentioned by Jimmy on asphalt. I've seen one in Ypres 24 hours in 1984. I think it was with Bernard Beguin as driver.

You should bring the Delta S4, which should have 560 hp but they detuned it to not destroy the game. Also, no lag because of the twin charger

1 thing I don't understand about this game is: No matter how hard I try, I am at least 3 seconds slower than whoever is first. And most of the time I'm barely holding the car in the track. Being behind then frustrates me, then I get aggressive, then crash. How are these people driving in this game. I sometimes fall 20 seconda behind in some sections. Like how?

What settings are you using? I turn all driving aids off and use soft tyres.. I find that this game with my 360 controller just seems really really difficult and some times its like over exaggerating about stuff. I rolled the car about 8 times when i drove over a slight bump where the road dips at the side not like a huge rock it was where the end of the road and the dirt met. i was doing 7mph..

Damn now that is a BMW I'd drive!

the M1 Procars had about 470bhp for Group 5 racing. i didnt know they had M1s in group B

so they still havent sorted the notes then I take it, soooo annoying racing pro difficulty just for the computerised co driver to screw up the notes.

Hi Jimmer, Have you tried playing a stage without the brakes, with just using enigne braking to get to the end? Me and my friends are doing Pikes Peak (Dirt Rally 1) with this, and it has been a blast.

Take this a step further, bring cars to tracks that they _really_ should not be in, like an F1 car to a rally circuit or a funny car to touge. Maybe a Dakar truck to rallycross because claustrophobia.

Disgusting that the are releasing paid DLC when the game is still choked with bugs and unfinished features (like the crap FFB)

Someone at BMW France got mad, drunk or high and then decided: we're going rallying with a BMW M1 Gr. 4 track car (still today in France there's a tarmac championship and a gravel championship) but without making a rally set-up for it! Of course went horribly wrong, but created one of the most awesome "rally" cars ever.

We have the m1 in richard burns rally, too, and its hillariously fking fast on tarmac, too: clocking 200 kmh is no big deal

I just can't imagine how idiot these guys are who rage about ffb. This dirt rally title has perfect ffb if you think it about real life. Do you really think that in a real rally car the steering wheel rumbles like a hell, and kicks like a hulk? No, in a real rally car the steering feedback is almost same that it's in a normal car, and if you drive normal car you can tell that it isn't kickin'ass like a hell. But if power steering is broken that's a new story. Thanks..
