Beautiful scenery! Dear and I liked how you added the 1/2 to the Mt. Washington sticker! 😄

As a New Yorker I thank you for calling the Tappan Zee Bridge by its proper and original name. I'm pretty sure that the Cuomo family are the only NYrs that like the new name

I live in Milan. It's interesting to see how other people see my backyard. I've traveled all over but keep coming back. Glad you had a decent time. By the way, those "stone islands" are Boompiers. Huge floating logs were chained between them to split the river in half. There were two paper mills in town. Logs were stamped with a company mark and sent down the proper channel . . . mostly. I've taken a motorcycle up the mountain but discovered they don't allow motor scooters -no engine braking due the belt transmission. Oh well. Hope you get a chance to come back.

I actually had an even better time riding NH than translates in video!!! I’ve been to same areas and more on my street motorcycle but getting to be in the backwoods really expands the beauty of the area!! And thank you for the history on the islands!! I find local history the best reason to discover new places!!

Let me know next time you come up, maybe I could give you some guidance. If you stay a little further north, there is more diversity in the trails. The local people do not ride near Jericho, it’s for the tourists. Look to ride in Colebrook or Pittsburg.

You should defiantly come back. I live in the area of where you were riding and you defiantly missed a lot. Most of that is due to the time of year that you visited. I would plan you next trip in July or August since that is when the weather is the best for riding at least that is when I find it best to be in the trails. Log Haven has great food but call before making the trip some restaurants have some crazy business hours.

I actually have friends goin back up end of June, I may join em it really depends on how busy work is by then(electrician and summer gets busy with school jobs) but I would go back solely to eat at Log Haven if I could !! Lol

B-Rad if you ever want to do radio's to talk to your friends ,try Brad Blair on FB SxS radio's they are the size of your cell phone and water proof and 25watts GREAT radio.

Heads Up! Did you see any cops in the woods shooting radar? Right where Cascade Falls are (Presidential Trail), I have seen them there twice and in Jericho Park.
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 2 года назад
No we didn’t see any cops on trails HOWEVER, I heard all abt that and was half expecting it anytime! The people I was there with had gotten pulled over back in June this year but only in town of Berlin for having LED whips on. That cop told em abt the enforcing rules out on trails! I thought there was a lot of riders on the trails but from what we were told it was not as full as it gets normally in summer months!

This is the kind of riding I enjoy. Not drunk, rolling in a backwoods mud hole, chasing out the locals with huge dust clouds, rutting the trails, with jungle country hip hop cranked in a mud hole. Then they bring their junk pile to the Polaris/CanAm Service bay and complain when they can't get their junk repaired under warranty. Oh wait let me role my utv again, full send captain jackass!
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 Год назад
Lmao!! Hey….I know a couple those guys! Lol 😂 don’t we all!? If Polaris put rear trailing arm suspension on their General I’d be buying one tomorrow! Slower(than most) riding allows ya to take in the scenery and see things you’d miss otherwise. I like a spirited sprint on an open trail as much as the next guy but I’d bet 90% of my actual riding is just enjoying where I’m at and watching out for others coming towards me.

Rode some of these trails back in September of 2021. Rented an XP1K, found ourselves on a few one way trials that got nasty real quick. Some of them were pretty technical and rocky. I also wondered why they have it gated off so no machines over 68” can ride?
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 2 года назад
We saw fleets of rental XP1Ks in parking lots…like hundreds!!! 😳 and seen a bunch out on trails too!! Yes, some the trails turn rough fast and the width restrictions I’m guessing is to try keep the more powerful machines(turbo cars) off the trails. Seen a bunch of signs that recommended you to switch to 4wheel and go slow goin up and down steep hills to avoid making ruts which I believe in turn to ease erosion …..??? Not really sure but that my guess!!
@mikeouellet3674

The trails in NH try to keep the gates at 65” to keep jeeps off the trails. Some gates are a little wider, but the 72” units won’t fit. Most of the 1000 connecting miles in the Ride the Wilds system is on private property. Most landowners do not want jeeps, trucks or dirt bikes on their property.
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 2 года назад
@@mikeouellet3674 we saw where couple spots on Wilds trails were 'detoured' just a little bit off regular trail and somebody told us that's because some the land owners didn't give permission to pass thru their property. Hope it never gets so bad the trails have to close all together, good riding.

Hello from York pa! Where can I get info on riding new Hampshire?
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 Год назад
Hello near neighbor!!! Best info for area I was in is to look up Jericho State Park in Berlin, NH. All riding in the area is largely based out of this park and it’s surrounding areas. Great area to camp/stay at and run out of and has places to eat and fuel, etc. The area and the riding is much more laid back than for example like Hatfield n McCoys trails, in NH they police the streets and don’t bend no rules, it’s not a big deal long as you’re not there to get crazy and run fast all over. But it’s def a great area and beautiful!! www.nhstateparks.org/find-parks-trails/jericho-mountain-state-park/

Anywhere that KRX with its width couldn’t go?
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 2 года назад
The KRX was fine everywhere, most bollards we found were set at like exactly 68” …the KRX is 68.5” stock but it squeezed thru!

what do you need to ride in NH as a non resident?
@wildstar365
@wildstar365 Год назад
Just need a permit, I think there were choices on how long permit you buy is good for…we bought 10day permits(didn’t need any more time) and of coarse it was cheaper than seasonal ones. Pretty sure we got em at our camp ground but I think most gas stations near trails sell em!!! That’s it! Cheap too. You’ll get a sticker to place on both front and back of your machine.
