I deliver for Amazon, you have to use the Amazon Flex App, the route is preloaded, you load your bags in order and overflow parcels, and your on your way. My knee's hurt at present, because I was not active, if you are fit you will be fine. I get paid fortnightly, and I rent the van from the company I work with. Still getting used to it again, my aim is to have my own van and run on the CX, but this is months down the line. If you need anything further, get in contact. Love the vid's Pete.

I work for Amazon also. They give you 9 hours to deliver 200+ parcels 160-170 drops and advise you to take a 30 minute break, which is of course impossible and they are well aware its impossible. I feel they reel you in with the money offered but it doesn't work for the driver. The flex app and route planning is utter rubbish and you are never given the same route so cant get used to it.

as ex multidrop driver that could float across 12 routes etc any driver currently doing multidrop that passed their car test before 1997 will have the C1 entitlement on their licence etc if you have C1 entitlement on your driving licence you can drive a 7.5t truck all you need to do is apply to d v l a for a digital tachograph card and do your drivercpc eg 35 hours training in a classroom or online which costs about £300 and once you get your drivercpc card you can drive a 7.5t truck etc then walk in to a driving agency and they wiill find you work at £12-£14 an hour and youll earn more and work less and have a much easier life multidrop will wear you in to the ground for a pennies

If you just looking for a few hours a day you'll make the same or more just delivering pizzas lot less stress not many drops and all within a 5 mile radius

Hello there, was it hard getting the job or can I just get a van and do it? Also how did you get on? Cheers

Amazon is now a complete joke - I delivered for them for 4yrs and at the beginning (2016) it was fine, doing around 120 drops per route and finishing at a reasonable time but every year the drops increased whilst the pay barely moved. I eventually left the job in May 2021 after average routes were over 200 drops/300 parcels. The strain on the mind, body and van is not worth it anymore.

I am doing multi drops sort of. Now I am settled at Coultons, I have 2 routes. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays is the Hartlepool run which is 2 drops in Newcastle, both being hospitals, then down the A19 to my local shops with 2 drops in my village, 2 drops in the next village and 9 drops in Hartlepool then back to base in Gateshead Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays is the Lakes run. 4 drops in Carlisle, 3 drops in Penrith, 1 in a village of Langwathby, 2 in Pooley Bridge and 1 in Maryport before running back to Gateshead

Hermes & Amazon are the lowest paid options in multi drop. It’s my last day next Tuesday doing it (end of calendar month), I was getting £3.50 a drop. That could be an envelope or 24 cartons 🤷🏻 You’re not “self-employed” as a courier, you do what they say, when they say it. You have no choice, which is kind of the point of becoming self employed 🤓

I am with them and do around 90-120 stops. My DSP is decent. Planning on doing CX come this November. You are absolutely right about the self employment shenanigans

£250 a month on van finance (LWB L3 H2 Movano) £210 a month for all insurances (GIT, PLI, Vehicle HW) (paid this upfront annual for £2300, 3 separate policies as i shopped around) £450 a month on Diesel £20 phone contract £100 Miscellaneous costs £1030 a month and you're doing Amazon for a 1.0 DSP. I work for a 1.0 (albeit as a lead driver for last 10 months), do 5 days a week most weeks, sometimes less if i have other things on or need days off. £130 a route (£150 for LWB but i'll be harsh on figures here) £25 on average for fuel that's £775 a week, totally £3100 a month. If you do LWB routes it's north of £3500 a month. If you're VAT registered (Even flat rate) you can make £4k a month. After expenses that's a minimum of £2k take home. £24k-25k a year give or take. It's not easy and is hard work. If you're underweight, eat...eat a lot or it'll kill you. I'm 28 and I find it draining at times, and with the guys we bring in, train and see quit after 2 weeks when they stop doing 60% and 80% NL1 and NL2 routes, I'm not surprised. If you rent a van from a DSP it really isn't worth the time any more, you'd earn more doing a supermarket job or retail job. Where I live I have contacts because of previous work (Aerospace/offshore marine, O&G and survey), Felixstowe, Harwich, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth, Hull, Cromer, Cambridge, Peterborough, Grimsby all within a max 2 hour drive. If you're in a place like that and know people in ops at various companies hit them up with work offers & you'll find you will get given work slow to start and it'll get more steady after. 100 mile round trip at £1.20 a mile, taking it economically with the van is a nice boost on the off days if you don't get 5 days with a DSP (I know several pick favourites).

If you need assistance because you are behind your wage is docked. If you are fast but get a 'concession' due to being quick and not being 'compliant' they stand you down. Its lose lose with Amazon. I reckon the more drivers stand up and say something maybe, it will get better

If he was an amazon driver, he has doorstepped every single one of them. There is no way you'd ever deliver that number even if they're touching and you're high on coke.

I'm a big fan of yours and you are very open to saying that you do it to make money out of it, but to recommend an app that you don't use doing multi drop of 100 plus a day is taking the piss lol. Out of first 100 you did, how did the app work for you ?? 100 !!! Lol. Fair play take the money but don't Bullshit fake advice to line pocket. X
