man that Reaper's Dance bug is so painful, as if the special wasn't already super awkward to use with it's extremely slow startup time and hitbox that comes down from the sky instead of just hitting in front of you, now it just decides to randomly say "fuck you" and evaporate in the air. Honestly if Slam was consistent and easy to use then Chainblades 2.0 would actually be one of my favorite weapons, I find the rest of its kit super engaging and fun now.
I just started playing with them and they are my favorite weapon now ive reforged a few times and that bug was pissing me off but the trick is until they path it is to wait till your stopped in the air and then center your cam where you wanna hit and activate because if you do it too fast it will hit in the air like 70% of the time but if you wait it almost never does it
To this day i still don't know how Chain-Blades work after the rework at all. Most of the time i'm just using random combos i feel like using and that's why sometimes i even forget reaper's dance still exists and end up not using it Edit: Other than that, for a long time Pike/Godhand was my favorite weapon, Repeaters was the second i liked the most, but nowadays i just use whatever weapon i want/need to use and i kinda like most of them the same. Although i would say Axe and Hammer are sometimes a pain in the ass to use due to how slow they are against things like Fenroar and Frostwulf that just don't like to stand still at all
Maybe im wrong but believe sword is the best weapon because of its diversity you can play like 4 different ways with it(probably not all meta) but i still feel all styles do decent damage
For some reason i feel like dauntless should gain more popularity. If i was the owner of the game i would add pvp, cash tournament, new maps, way more onmicells and more 😊
As a casual player of Dauntless, I finally completed the chain blades reforge tree (reforge 10 times) and the sword is not too far behind now. I enjoy occasionally playing with those random players who somehow are allowed to join a Terra 10-50 Esca. despite the fact that their weapon level is at 8. I'm still shaking my head over that run, but I still enjoyed the really difficult challenge in getting them up to the final pair of behemoths and beating them. Thankfully the game knew we did not need to spend another 15 minutes fighting the legendary behemoth and showed us the door to the sky sailors (is that what those are even called? I've completely forgotten by now. 😂) I absolutely agree that Reaper's Dance is just complete pain and rage when you miss, fall of the cliff (still spinning), or get knocked right out of the air because of some random projectile. So, I've been enjoying just using Cruel Riftstrike instead with Momentum Blades and do my best to just not die. Though I know I'll never do nearly as much damage as whatever the current meta builds are, I like being a sleek, shadow-touched, fashion ninja who can carry or be very thankful for being carried. This game is free to play and this is how I enjoy playing it. I have enjoyed challenging myself to play a bit more of warpike and it's been fun, too. That's my take at least. 🙂
Those who are below the level requirement but still able to join public 10-50 esca is most probably teamed up with someone who is eligible (party). The whole party can go wherever the party leader is eligible to queue so thats why.
I know they’re not good, and I know that they’re inherently like, the worst weapons, I’ve simply always enjoyed the playstyle of the axe, and have been maining them since I started this game (which is back since you could still target hunt one behemoth on one island). Ended up changing platforms and decided I wanted to start over with the reforge update, and still have simply had the most fun with axe, which is by far my most prestiged weapon.
@@DanielClear2 im not saying i wont reforge others, im saying that i have enjoyed c blades so far that i havent used any other weapons yet, but i will still reforge other weaps 10 times to get the passives
To be honest I stop playing dauntless because I lost all of my progress maxed out silver sword nearly all of the legendary Behemoth weapons hundreds of cells perform all the Exotics power surge and everything including rare armors transmogs I don't know how to recover all of my loss progress well I'm playing my son tomorrow now and by the way I play on switch
I already suggested a Staff or a Grimoir to phoenix labs to deal magical aether as damage. I also suggested for it to specialize on elemental effect build up.
