My two favorite Gnomes from up North! Love the postwar Bundesgrenzschutz items including that GSG9 helmet. That version replaced the 1st one used by GSG9 for 1 year which had the same suspension and liner system as the WW2 M38 FJ helmet. Yours is a nice example. They are not easy to find anymore. The ventless M53 is a nice score too! I’m thinking BGS given the texture. I recall the Polizei version as smooth but in the same green color. 🎉

The joke was that the very small woman's uniform would not fit Jerry... We have nothing but the deepest respect for the men and women who fought to keep America free. Do we have fun doing what we do? Hell Yes. We are not going to apologize for that. Life is too short not to have fun. Celebrate everything you can. While we hate to lose a customer, we don’t do what we do for the money. We do it because we love history, we love learning, we love finding, saving, researching, and sharing these artifacts and the history behind them. I would suggest actually spending some time in the shop with us. Get into one of the many deep dive discussions on history and the artifacts with us and our group of regulars. Maybe it will change your mind, and you will have some fun with it, or maybe you will just hate us more. Some people just don’t like what we do or how we do it. That’s fine.
