I decided to stop paying for Lightroom. I just found out about your channel and I installed Darktable 4.6. Your videos are being a huge help. Thank you.
Yes, thanks to the developers. For me the most welcome improvement is the additive masking brush. It is very well presented in Andy Astbury's video: DarkTable Brush Mask Relighting with Sum Mode Masking. The collective mask can be reused in most other modules.
The RGB primaries performs like a color matrix no? I use the color calibration module in this way to shift my colors around instead of color zones. Also the rgb color purity sliders behave similar to HSV colorspace subtractive saturation which is commonly used in DaVinci Resolve, very nice to have in Darktable as well. I believe they use different math to achieve the same effect since one is in HSV and this one is in XY chromaticity plane.
things I really miss in Darktable, which are present in Lightroom are the video files indexing, even without any basic editing and files management. Such a pity
I don't understand. Lens correction itself is nothing new. What's new is that darktable can do more lens corrections than before. I assume people already know what it means.
