Cool view! Good to have you back. I've seen most of this stuff reviewed. I'd like to try the YSL powder, when Universal comes back. I love the packaging. Haven't seen the Tom Ford yet. Will be looking for your review. Miu Miu had makeup years ago. Thanks for the video! 💚
The ND palette is extremely basic. The hook is a clean formula without preservatives. I feel like makeup companies are following suit with other industries and making products with forced obsolescence and that’s really the reason behind the formula changes. Increased prices and guaranteed to actually go bad before you ever come close to finishing it up unlike makeup of the past, where let’s be honest, powders lasted for decades.
Yes! Also can we talk about brands with planned obsolescence?! I don't think Merit, Saie, Kosas, etc. will endure because they are SO niche, average quality and the clean trend will fade/get debunked as everything expires lmao. I think brands like Rare, Mario, Haus, etc. have a shot for various reasons; solid, affordable staples where the brand identity isn't TOO "clean beauty", reputable backing and innovative formulas, respectively.
I’m interested in Miu Miu’s take on beauty as well….but I love Prada beauty (and I think the packaging is gorgeous). That said….I’m interested in the ND face palette as well so maybe I’m just a plain Jane! Thanks for the great video and I hope you are enjoying your new space!
I am really excited for the Natasha denona pallet. For me it will be perfect for the days I hit Sneeze on the alarm too many times and now have only 10 or less to get ready. It has a bronzer blush and one and done eyeshadow so I don't have to think in my hurry.
I am curious about how the Dallas weather and culture influences your makeup choices. Is it too warm for a lipstick in your purse? Are your colour choices shifting? Do you have new skin care concerns?
I feel less in the mood for winter colors but I guess around this time of year I always kind of wishing it were spring but this time it's actually the case haha. People seem to think it's like 100 deg here year round but that is mostly in the summer months
The Dior bronzer according to Charlotte holdcroft are basically the same shades as the original and you don't see the blush type shades on the skin. She said they were a little warm. I'm not sure if I want one after her review.
Your eye makeup is so beautiful!!!! Seriously one of my favorite RU-vidrs. I caved and got the not too much blush just because its that signature shade I always fall for lol
I hear where you are coming from when it comes to the ND face palette for traveling. I personally love the idea of a palette that can do everything. I think I'm addicted to looking for the perfect one 😂. I get suckered into buying all of them. I only wish ND had more options for the bronzer. The pans can pop out so i really hope she launches more shades that you can interchange.
I’m one of the people who would be more interested in a miu miu makeup brand over Prada lol. But I’d be hoping for more girly colors and glitter and shiny lip colors vs the images you showed where both brands did a black outfit. I was sad when Tarina Tarantino’s brand went away, it was really fun.
I saw a review of the dior bronzers, and they are so warm and so similar. I bought 3 of the liquid highlighters instead. Looking forward to all your reviews, long and short, but especially of your comparisons.
So a tip for the Chanel highlight, I was watching this woman and she said to apply it with your fingers and it melts in more to you skin and the glitters aren't as visible as applying with a brush. If u have it try it that way to see if u like it more. I was excited about the Dior bronzer but the all look exactly the same except depth and very orangy looking so I'm bummed about that. Another tip the ND face pallet have removable shades u can use other midi shades in it the blush contour shades also magnetic so I think she will make more of these.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I totally agree 😂but this is what that woman said it gave it a more refined look melted with the skin more unlike when u use the brush but either way that thing looks like it would be sparky AH i still cant believe that is a highlight Chanel made and not some indie brand .
You are now my absolute favourite content creator, Sofia. I started dipping into luxury makeup because of you ❤️🤣 but you always make outstanding and well-thought out videos and recommendations. Congratulations on the move 🥳💓
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I am so glad to have found your channel. I feel like in real life, we can be good friends as your kindness and personality radiates. I hope to see you here in the UK when you get a chance you get a chance to visit Europe again 💓 much love 🥰
Best way to start my week - watch Sophia’s new review🎉! We missed you! I love your new studio💓 Dior peachy bronzers look great. But Dior is usually months late with their launches here 🙄 and we get shortchanged with new products too . I like separate products so ND palette is a no and i don’t like the colours anyhow. Guerlain blushes look lovely but i dont like that packaging it looks cheap. I cant wait to see your Chanel spring collection review ❤🇦🇺 PS. yes to beauty news 🌸
I LOVE the Rivage eyeshadow, the blue eyeliner and the highlighter. I have medium light skin. I’m obsessed with the Chanel items so far. I’m very interested in the new ND palette. I heard the gel to powder formula is amazing. I want to get it during the Sephora sale if I can wait that long. I picked up 3 of the Dior Glow Maximizers but I’m still testing so the jury is out on those.
Can’t wait to hear what you think once you’ve tried all the products you’ve purchased. I placed my order for the Merit lipsticks in Maison and Sunday; looking forward to trying out the new formula. It’s great to hear you’re settling in here in Dallas. 💕
I think that Miu Miu would be very interesting! I love the Prada lipstick, foundation and eyeshadow. Can’t wait for your review of the new Dior and YSL bronzers and Guerlain blushes.
I’m super excited to see reviews on the Guerlain brushes and I love a good slim lipstick! I’m also interested to see how Lisa Eldridge’s mascara hits and I’m curious what people think of the ND palette. I think it’s Yucca or Bronze on my wishlist for summer:)
I bought the blue Chanel eyeshadow quad. Love it. Also, the pink Dior glow maximized. Another love. The guerlain blushes do not have enough product to justify the price, IMO.
So glad you’re back! Plsss try the merit lipstick in Antibes, it looks great from other reviews and think it’s one of the more unique shades but still wearable! The Patrick Ta blush in Not too Much is the blush shade I’ve been searching for 😍 cannot wait for it to reach the UK!
Estee Lauder has done the tiny blush in a bronzer too. Her design makes more sense as the blush is in the centre and you can isolate it with a small brush
Fun video! I was initially interested in the Natasha Denona palette but less so the more reviews I watch and the more I mull it over. I’m worried that the clean products will go bad quickly especially since some reviewers have said some of the eyeshadows have more of a putty texture. I’m so happy with my favorite blushes and bronzers that all in one palettes are less appealing to me these days. A lot of the time the shades don’t suit me because I am so fair. I always love seeing blushes compared to Pat McGrath, Armani, and RMS because I have so many of those. The Guerlain look very promising! Really looking forward to seeing your Chanel review. I’m still mulling over Rivage-if it ever comes back in stock!❤
Miu Miu could be fun as a brand. I'm not interested in Prada... I find their packaging very 90s drugstore and nothing looks or feels high end. I was there, I remember. Maybe w Miu Miu they do something more special
I really want to try Prada make up soon but yeah it is a bit modern a miu miu girly counter part would be so cool to see. can’t wait to see what they do with the make up line 😍
I tried the cloud paint bronzer, I used shade Sail (the lightest one) and it works on me. Same skin tone and usually shade twin to you. Just posted a video using it but I could’ve also gone up a shade I think. They are buildable though! I’m still waiting not so patiently for the Chanel Spring Summer to launch in Canada, same with the Dior LE Bronzer. I got YSL in Shade 1 and after seeing your swatches I’m worried it’ll be too light 😢. Also picked up Light Pink in Guerlain but haven’t received it yet. Have my eye on deep coral. So pretty!
@@celinag9968 it wore great and lasted all day. I did top with a powder bronzer but even putting it on my hand I did have to wash with a bit of force so I would say it’s for sure long wearing.
I have the YSL bronzer, it is lovely but very light. I’m a similar skin tone to you and bought the 2nd shade and wished I’d got the 3rd. Wish I’d waited for review!
I love my Charlotte Tilbury palettes for travel. Since I don’t travel much, I don’t need any more “travel” palettes. To me, ND shadows are not travel friendly. They are a bit fragile and shatter. I’ve had a couple of my mini break down without me taking them anywhere.
I got the not too much and it’s so pretty. I wore it last night for a dinner and omg it’s so pretty, natural and subtle but the pigment does pack a punch. I don’t doubt even tan and deep can also build up the color.
Hi Sofia! I recently found your channel and have started to get into luxury beauty because of it! I absolutely love the Chanel Rivage eyeshadow quad but of course it’s sold out on Chanel’s website. Since I’m new to the luxury beauty world I was wondering if this means it’s gone for good or if I could find it in stores or if they’ll restock. Thanks!
Welcome! I would keep checking Haley because Chanel is tricky and a lot of times it will sell out on their website but then it will pop up on other retailers. I will be sure to post whenever I see it restocked
Love that background!!! If you don't mind me giving feedback, the daylight swatches aren't as good as your old ones, which seemed v true to colour. Love your channel. ❤❤❤
Sofia, do you know how to catch sales on Tom Ford? I hear people talk about all the time they never pay full price and they always catch a sale. Where? How? I’m interested in a couple of Tom Ford quads, but I definitely would rather not pay full price! Can’t remember if I already commented on this video, but this was a superduper fun video! Love your energy!
Thank you! Yes girl I got you. The best place to find a deal is called the Cosmetics Company Store, there might be one near you if you search in google maps. The other two ways you can try is ebay: trust me I have ordered plenty here and it's not as sketch as it seems. The palettes are brand new. The last way is to catch a department store wide sale. For example, bergdorf has a tiered sale right now and usually most beauty is included.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty thank you, I’ll check those out! Thanks for that tip about eBay. I guess you just have to double check that what you’re buying is a new product. I will never buy anything from Walmart online again. I ordered an eyeshadow palette, and they sent me the wrong color story, but put it in the box of the color I wanted. The box was all torn up and nasty, and the eyeshadow was used. did they really think that a person would be fooled by that?? I guess they think the customer will not want to be bothered with returning the item and will just keep it, and won’t be able to tell that the makeup has been used. They wanted me to return it, but I wasn’t about to do that so they could do the same thing to another person! It went straight in the trash, which was collected that same day! Ha OK, rant over. Thanks for listening!
Love this chatty vidoe. Great vibe for your new filming room. I'm really curious about ND palette more from an innovation perspective. The Chanel collection is stunning. Can't wait for the review. I wonder if the eyeliner is a similar colour to the VBB blue one she launched last year. ❤
Hi Sofia, Love your channel..congrats on the move! Im not a big shadow userbu love the Chanel Rivage palette! (Sold out!!) Im interested in the NF palette but jury is out until I see it! Dior Bronzer have 0 appeal tome--have soany good ones- cant wait to ses YSLs round up and your thoughts! Gierlsin Blushes- 🤔!😂
Very interested in the Dior Bronzer, YSL Bronzer, Guerlain Blushes, & Tom Ford Slim Lipsticks! 😊 Not interested in the ND palette or Dior liquid highlighters.. Would like to see a comparison between the Chanel Coral palette & the Dior Dreams palette. 😊❤ Your apartment has a gorgeous view of downtown. Love it! ❤
The YSL bronzers are not creamy like their eyeshadows. They’re more dry and not as pigmented as I thought they would be. I think they’re more like the Dior bronzers. I’m light med and shade 2 is almost too light but shade 3 is better. Shade 2 is cooler than 3. I bought the new Glossier bronzer and I’m excited which I haven’t felt about Glossier in awhile.
Oooh, I love your background! Is that view real!?😊 I am the opposite of interested in that Natasha palette. I don’t like it when a palette tries to tell me where to put my shadows, or what occasion to use them, which is the main reason I never bought the Glam palette. Plus, I don’t need makeup that is going to spoil quickly. I don’t appreciate the fact that they changed the formula Several palettes back with no announcement that the shelf life has changed.
Your perspective on the direction and use of ND makeup was great. I'm gonna stick with my (underrated) Benefit bronzer/blush mini duo + space cowboy as my travel homies. Hyper natural palette tbh just looks ugly 😅. I did pick up the Patrick Ta blushes tho 😍
I thought the patrick ta blushes would be more muted, judging by the pics and swatches but on me they aren't subtle, they are bright. The peach turned more coral on me, and the nude one looks pink. I am keeping the nude and will try to work with it, but the peach is a no go for me, the pink I wasn't interested in and swatching it instore it turned fuschia on me. I don't know if it's my skin chemistry or colouring but his blushes always change colour on me.
I should get the YSL bronzer delivered tomorrow and now I'm ordering the new YSL powder on selfridge because the reviews I saw state the new powder and bronzer are the same formula as the eyeshadow. I have no patience to wait until we see it in the US lol.
Hi Sofia, From Chanel I am interested in the blue quad and also how is the formula. I don’t have any Chanel blush because I don’t like the texture. Gucci , Armani, Hermes or Sisley have much nicer blushes than Chanel or Dior. I watched reviews with Dior bronzers and they are all very warm and is almost no difference between colours. It’s not worth it to buy more than one. They look cute but that’s it. I am curious the new Guerlain blushes and I would like to hear your opinion about the formula in comparison with other luxury brands. Yes for YSL new bronzers review. Next month YSL will release the mini clutch eyeshadows in Australia. This is to have an idea about the delay. Probably the new bronzers will be available next year.😁 Big no for Natasha Denona, Patrick Ta, Glossier and Merit no matter what they release. I prefer lip balms more than lipsticks and Tom Ford new lipsticks must be nice but I’m not exiting about them. Regarding Miu Miu makeup line I am curious about it. Prada did a good job and I’m pretty sure that Miu Miu will come out with something interesting. Thanks for sharing!🙂
Don't like the ND palette I think its a massive step back from she she normally does. Love the dior bronzer. Got 032 light pink. I thought getting the pink would mean it has a cooler tone to it. Its in the middle of cool and warm, its a smooth buttery formula and goes on really well. Its got a good pigment so a little goes along way (I'm very pale though so only need a tiny amount). Its easy to buff out and build up too. My favourite bronzer ive had so far. Have got the guerlain on my list to try. Also love the new dior forever glow maximizers x
Hey girl! I too was obsessed with the Dior bronzer aesthetic!! But I got a bit bummed when I saw Charlotte holdcrofts review because they are very warm and essentially none of the peach/pink pigment showed up… in fact when swatched side by side you couldn’t tell the difference :/
Re: the ND palette, I bought it because I am very into one-and done shadows right now (I also own a decent number of eyeshadow sticks), and was curious about this formula and got the palette discounted with my ND rewards. I am not inspired by it and am disappointed by this launch, especially since she didn’t have a palette launch for V-day as she usually does, and her last two palettes (three?) have been all neutrals. I’ve been looking forward to something new and exciting. I don’t expect to get much, if any use out of the bronzer and blush, and wish she had just made this a mini eyeshadow palette instead.
@@SofiaSeesBeautyI received the palette in the mail today and I think it looks much prettier in person. I’ve only swatched so far but the formula feels even creamier than her past versions and goes on so smoothly. I’m excited about it now and glad I purchased. Think I get a lot of use out of it, but I definitely understand why so many people did not buy it.
Thank you for the review. I am not interested in the ND palette at all, I bought one of her cream/powder blush sets and I did not like it. Dior is getting on my nerves with their limited addition makeup! think all of the new Dior bronzers look the same so it's a pass for me. I really looking forward to the Guerlian blush especially the light pink color.
…and I’m not persoanlly into the ND pallet. Plus, I’ve seen a lot of people very upset that it’s not inclusive. I’m not a makeup artist but I do wonder about that.
Lovely view! Am not sure about the ND product - neither shade of blush appeals. Maybe the new eyeshadows will come out separately. The YSL bronzers look so tempting! Can't wait for your review. Lisa Eldridge came out with a mascara and eyeliner - both are fab! I've heard that there is something else coming too. That's exciting.
The ND palette is 🔥 don’t sleep on it! The rose shadow is to die for and I’ve been taking the palette to work for mid day touch ups. You can put on all the eyeshadows with your finger and they blend themselves. Very creamy. The blush is pretty if you mix both shades bc the light pink is too soft. I mix all the bronzer shades together . CC Rivage is meh! The blue shadow is pigmented but not the pretty sky blue shade I thought it would be. The YSL bronzers are beautiful but light. Shade 2 is light and cool then shade 3 is more pigmented but warm and golden. Glad to see you back on here! 😊
no. l'oréal group has a license agreement with prada so they help with the development and distribution of the beauty products for the prada brand. they're completely different formulations for the two brands. also, most of the l'oréal brand makeup products are made in the u.s. while prada's makeup is made in france.
I bought it already and have some regret even before it arrives! Man I usually don't do that. I'm going away at the end of March and I wanted one palette to take that had all major areas covered. I did watch Angela Bright review it and she seemed to like it. The only other palette that I have is from Dior and that was a miss, hardly use it because I would still need other makeup in order to do a full face, aside from complexion (I don't wear any foundation when on a sunny holiday destination. Fingers crossed that the ND palette is good!
I love ND but skipped INAN as it wasn't very dark-skin friendly. These shades look better (would love them in a 5 pan!) but don't want to pay for the whole palette which is also not helpful for dark skin...🙄
The ND palette is a cash grab and a swerve for me. The Guerlain blushers are very subtle and you need to pile it on. They are not standout from anything else particularly
I am such an impulse buyer. I did get all of the new Patrick Ta blushes. I haven’t used the pink one yet. The coral one gives the most color payoff for me, though I’m more of a cool toned girl. I really had to build up the color on the rosy one. I’ve been on the fence about the Natasha Denona palette. I’ve been waiting for your thoughts. I am so glad I did! After hearing your thought on each aspect of the colors I realized I definitely don’t need that one. I will wait and get one of the Chanel eye shadows. Thank you!
Sofia!!!❤ I was hoping for ND pallette but the reviews I've watched, eyeshadows don't seem very good. Patchy. And that's what I Love about ND. So I'll skip. YSL bronzers look Beautiful but I finally treated myself to the Gucci(yes I'm behind)😂So Glad you're back filming and pics of Minnie look like she is settling as well🎉🎉🎉
I LOVE THE FILMING CORNER. THAT VIEW. WOW I’m so happy. I think it’s fine I don’t feel ND IS UNIVERSAL. NO. WE NEED DARKER FOR OUR DARKER BABES. THIS WONT WORK FOR THEM. I love you can change. But. Ummmm we need another one
