Beautiful! We all know how much work it takes!!! I am increasing my beans as well and getting my garden plan ready for the most production possible this year. I love your pantry, and I am sure I am not the only who appreciates your authenticity! A working homestead takes so much work, and you honestly can only do one thing at a time in one place. Good job, mama!
Three years ago was my last good tomato year the last two seasons they have been wiped out. A buffer is such a good idea. I’m really hoping this year is better as I bought tomatoes last year and it was really expensive
Very nice video! You have done a great job! I am very impressed and happy for you!! I have a freeze dryer and I FD my eggs. I have 9 chickens. The eggs are nice for scrambled eggs, french toast and baking.
Nobody has a perfect system, whatever works for you is fine! Looks like you’ve been busy this year. Love the new improvements to pantry. Gives me a lot of new ideas with the crates etc..and the ladder is cool! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
If you put your bean pods into some pillow cases and beat them on the ground most of your beans will come out of the pods, I saw that on “homesteading downunder”
I too am gluten free and just got back from Ireland. Their bread did not bother me. I would love to know what grains you use that don't bother you. Would love to start doing my own flour and bread. Someone said the Ikcorn was good. ( not sure I spelled that right).
We use a combination of rice, sorghum and millet flours, all organic - and tapioca starch, guar gum and psyllium husk powder (depending on which recipe) to add structure - our daughter shares recipes on ig @molliesfarmhousebakery
I have 6 kids - if we make pb&j it uses a whole jar - they eat it on pancakes and toast nearly every day and we use it in baked goods like oat bars with a layer of jam in the middle - the watermelon we did this year we made it more like a syrup and use it to make watermelon lemonade - and any of the other fruit syrups can be used in a soda stream to make home made soda!
@@gooseberrybridgefarm Just came across your page today. Very fun. I look forward to watching more. New to canning and gardening. Also new to FDrying. Thanks so much for sharing!!
@gooseberrybridgefarm I am a nearby farm owner - we are just starting out. I called you guys today. I’m very interested in the local A2/A2 dairy cow herd! We are preparing for our first dairy cow (hopefully an A2/A2 Jersey that is mostly grass fed). Can you help me out with where I should look for that? Thanks!
@jenniexfuller I didn’t see a missed call - try messaging on ig or fb if you want to chat - we got one of our A2a2 cows from hilltop jerseys and the other one was retired from an organic diary ..
Freeze dried foods and grains stores with oxygen absorption packets can last 20-30+ years - canned foods officially last 1 year but we use them up to 2-3+ years - the goal for us is always to use the majority of this within about 18 months
