Hi guys, I decided to start my Hermes journey on April/May 2023. I knew I wanted to start a purchase history which we all know is part of a "requirement" in order to be offered a quota bag: either a Birkin or a Kelly. Throughtout my Hermes journey I wanted to be as transparent as possible for those who need to be a little more mindful when going the Hermes boutique route. In this video, after getting offered my first quota bag, I want to share what's next for Hermes & I, my thoughts about the "process"/"journey", Is it a one to one ratio and will I work up a second pre-spend to get offered a Kelly? This was fun to watch! I completely agree with you that it’s about spend amount, not what you actually buy! I’m still chuckling over your friend asking if you had to pay for Nugget!! LOL. If only we got a free bag with a certain spend amount!! 😂 I could also see you with a Kelly in a cream color but black is so classic too!! ❤

hahaha!!! I was like 'Girllll I wish!' 🤣😂 You're the second the mentions a cream color but I would honestly die! I would be terrified of it getting dirty or stained, I think a darker color would be my route 😉

It’s so interesting to hear about the US Hermes journey! I live in Germany, and my local store said that the quota bags are for residents of Germany only and that there’s a wait list. I overheard this from a tourist, saying she’s a tourist and was wondering if my local Hermes has a Birkin or Kelly. Now before people react that it’s racist or something, the SA is def not German, the store has a lot of diff nationality of SAs. A friend of mine said the wait list is real and she waited a year and a half to get her bag offer (exact colour and hardware she requested).

Hi thank you for sharing. It does seem that each country gas their own rules. I have heard of tourists walk into boutiques abroad & build a good rapport & get a bag offer without any prevvious buying history in that country 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thats why I say that everyones 'journey' is going to be conpletely different

Everyone detoxes only when they’ve had enough. In order to detox, you need to have ‘toxed’ first. It’s natural to reach a personal limit when you have so many mind-numbingly expensive bags, because you evaluate if spending so much has indeed satisfied your expectations. When you’re working toward your first or second or third bag, you’re still in the expectation-satisfaction cycle and personally enjoyed mine immensely and would do it again and again. Personal note: I reached thirty five bags, after twenty years, felt suffocated and sold almost all, bought some beautiful classics and now always stay at seven luxury bags that I LOVE.

I think 7 is honestly a great number. I did a tag video which was basically to choose 7 bags from your collection & it made me realize that I didnt need more than half of what I own at the moment. 😅😅 But I still enjoy them ❤️ Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Yes they can see your online purchases. 😊 My SA viewed mine. Items online if you get the item number you can tell the SA and they put in the request to obtain from another store or as a wishlist if they ever receive it. Mexico and Europe system is not connected currently. 😊

You look beautiful today! ❤ Yes the SA can see our online purchases. I’m super open with mine and if I can grab a bag online, she knows, I’ll do it ( and I did actually). We checked together if she could see my purchases in Europe and even the quota bag, she couldn’t see. And yes, it’s so not about what we buy but the amount. Imagine having to buy in metiers that we don’t care about at all. After many quota bags, I still don’t own any cushions or blankets because it’s the last things I would spend thousands of dollars on! No way! If you have a good SA, they will never care about that! I had never spent on things I didn’t want and I even take breaks. When I don’t need or want anything, I don’t shop, that’s it. She sees me next time and we pick up where we left! 🤷🏻‍♀️ For having Kelly’s in sellier and retourne if your lifestyle is pretty casual, I think the retourne is the best. I wear my retourne way more because of it. I don’t see the sellier as a bag to carry with a super casual outfit personally. The mini Kelly maybe, but it’s so small than again, it would never be my most used bag personally. Go try on the Kelly 25 retourne somewhere if you can, it fits a bunch!

I agree with you I think that iif you get along with your SA you can totally pick up from where you last left even if its been a bit. So happy to hear you have a wonder SA who helps you as well. ❤️ I guess its good and bad that the profiles don't link 😅Bad in the sense that if you wanted to ask for a bag and they checked they wouldnt see all the purchase history you already had and good because if you recently got offered a bag they wouldnt know in order to offer another 😉 I agree, I think the retourne would be best. I def need to play around with one when I see it in the boutique 😍

I am 5’6” and love both soft and structured bags. The 28 fits perfectly but I would get a K25 but it’s harder to get. I have a lot of Chanel’s so I am use to the structure. I love it. I dress it down most of the time and travel with it because it is secure and I crossbody because i don’t care. I crossbody everything haha

Absolutely love your hermes journey videos. I am on my journey (it sounds quite cringe saying that 🤦‍♀️🤣) but my pre spend cant be as much as yours, as i cant afford it and i dont live near a store so my visit will be once per year. But i am positive vibes only and i will get one 😊 Your happiness is infectious so that might also have helped you. I got a picotin my first time in a store and i think it was simply because i had a bit of banter with the SA. Whilst people might think thats stating the obvious and people are always nice, the truth is, no they are not. The customer before me was clearly a very wealthy woman and she kept talking about how much she has spent. Basically, she was a bitch! She left empty handed. Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you get next ❤

Hi Alyson, congrats & I wish you nothing but the BEST during your journey 🤗 I agree, journey is quite over played we need to come up with a new term for this 😅 As long as you stay top of mind with your SA I dont think you need to visit as often as I did. & you are totally correct, the customers can def be the reason why some of these SA's come off stand off-ish. We need to be the ones to break them in so they know it is going to be a pleasant experience dealing with us 🥰

Can you imagine the marketing executives sitting around a table and coming up with this idea of buying merchandise in order to have the chance to buy more expensive merchandise. I feel the same about the sellier kelly, it’s been number 1 on my wish list but I keep avoiding getting it and choosing a birkin instead cause deep down I really feel like I wouldn’t be able to use it so casually for a bag this stiff, I have a birkin in sellier and even though its always open IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO USE! It hurts me to only reach for it on occasions only when I intended to use it as a casual bag. So moving forward with the kelly I believe i’ll be trusting my guts this time and go for a togo leather even tho I really love the “look” of the sellier 🥲 #shortestsadstory
