You are my favorite you tube channel! My wife and I will be retiring soon and plan on traveling the country. I love your relationship and respect for each other. You are real and believable. Keep up the great work girls. Enjoy Colorado.
Congratulations on your summer gig! Excited to follow along! And I have one small tip - if you’ll push up your blinds while traveling, it will help them last longer. All the stress of bumps, turns and just motion weaken the cording.
If you get on I-70 thru KS toward CO., just before you get to the Colorado State line, turn off on US Hwy 83 and head south and go see Monument Rocks (Chalk Pyramids) in Gove co. KS. It is on private land I think, but the owner doesn’t mind visitors. It is National Natural Landmark. Great video!
I have always loved Colorado! One of my best friends used to live there, and it was the first place I saw real big snow! Super exciting next chapter! can’t wait to follow along! Love you both so much.
I'm so excited for you. You will love Colorado. It's my home state. If you have a chance to go through Glenwood Springs please stop and enjoy the world famous Hot Springs pool and also the vapor caves. You will not be disappointed. I'm the 5th generation to come from this lovely town. Safe travels and welcome to beautiful Colorado!!!! ❤
We were in Colorado in September and October of 2023 in a National Forest and National Parks in our TAB320S. We love Colorado but the high mountains was hard to breathe.
That's cool you spent time in Colorado, we need some tips lol! Yeah, we are a bit nervous about the altitude but we will acclimate slowly, start camping in higher areas before we even get to our job so we are prepared.
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉 I was hoping you would pick Colorado. I’m sure you will not regret it. I excited for your new adventure and looking forward to tagging along for the ride!!! Love you guys!!!
Congrats!! I'm in Maine, so a little disappointed cause we would definitely take a trip to Vermont in our Runaway camper to meet you. 😁 But you gotta do you. 🎉🎊💕🖖
Yay! I look forward to your adventures along the way and your stay in Colorado. Sounds like you will be living off grid so will be interested in what works and what doesn't. Thanks for sharing.
very true, we are interested to see what works and doesn't lol! we have a pretty solid plan regarding our off grid setup and will share it with you all in an upcoming video!
I am curious what internet service you use. I know in some areas you won't have access no matter what but these days you have to be able to get online, whether it be on your site or down the road.
What ? Amber was drinking a cup of coffee… So excited for your news. Colorado should be awesome! Hope you get enough down time to explore. In the meantime happy Adventures on your way there!
Yessss!!!! We are so excited to get our off grid setup going. We will make it a comfortable and easy setup. Looking forward to living at a campground again!
I hope so too! We are a little nervous about that because it is 9500' up, we've done some high altitude but nothing above 8000 yet! we have a solid plan to acclimate and will be sharing that with our honeys in the coming weeks! stay tuned
Even though these are temporary jobs, I really respect the time, thought snd consideration you put into choosing one. You are going to love Colorado. I started my restaurant career, which now I'm retired from in Silverthorne, CO. back in 1984. Just a tip, cooking is different at higher altitudes and also your vehicle may need to be tuned to the higher elevation. Just something to look in to.
Oh i am absolutely thrilled you picked Colorado. I actually teared up lol. Im going to put coming to see you on my number one wish list for the summer. I would just love to meet you. I'm in Colorado Springs, so it depends where you end up if i can afford the trip. There are alot of National Forests here, so you could be twenty minutes away or an 8 hour drive away if i speed lol. Sorta. Anyway. Thanks for sharing with us as always. Luv ya
Yay! That is awesome. We figured this campground would be a great place for Honeys to visit and camp nearby...we will be announcing which campground once the date gets closer so stay tuned!
Happy for the two of that you were able to commit to the Colorado summer job! Had wished it had been Vermont, so that I could have driven up to meet you both, and we could have camped in our T@G Teardrop travel trailer.😊 Hope your new job will be everything that you hope it will be, and that you thoroughly enjoy your location.✅ Wondering where you’ll be spending time between now and May?? Take care, stay safe and enjoy your travels. 💕 Winston will be thrilled to be spending every summer day right close by the two of you! 🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕
Juts watched the video! We keep up with y’all! Colorado sounds like a great choice!!!! Couldn’t help but notice the Cracker Barrel y’all were staying at! Walterboro SC???? 20 minutes from my house!
I am kinda just a little bit bummed, as I hoped you were going to Vermont. At the same time, I am so excited for you both. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity! Colorado is simply a beautiful state, and I am sure you will enjoy your experiences there! Someday, ladies, you MUST come to New England. You just have to, have to, have to. For camping adventures, Vermont and Maine at the best! (Many people do head to Colorado during the summer to beat the heat. That is a nice benefit, depending on the elevation you are at.)
yes! we would love that. we will be announcing the campground as the date approaches. ALSO, we will be at Riverbend on the Frio for the week of Easter & the solar eclipse & will be announcing that on our social medias for anyone who wants to book a site there. you know we love our Riverbend home!
I must say that I feel exited because of your new job. And this is a big thing said by Estonian - we never feel exited 😂 Also I must admit that I felt that your channel is not so interesting anymore because all the decisions you were making are a bit too safe and predictable, but this off grid job came out a big surprise and your channel turned out cool again 💪🏋️ Hope you will enjoy your new job, I am sure that all the viewer's enjoy watching it. Anyway big clap on your decision and I am sure you do not have to regret it. Sending luck to you from small traveling channel Arvithereyet in Estonia 🤝
Looking forward to your solar setup video. I just got Bluetti 200MaxAC and a 200W Grecell solar panel and if it stops raining here in N. CA I will try hooking them up--probably need longer cables, don't want to have to carry that 60 lb. behemoth of a power station outside to follow the sun. Also, the moment of truth is becoming more immanent--getting my 2005 GMC 3/4 ton truck ready to put my 2000 truck camper on it and go on trip in mid-May heading east to NM and following Route 66 back to CA with a bunch of girl campers! Do you worry about breakdowns on the road? (I did see the video where you had a breakdown east of the Sierras, but it was such an easy fix.)
@@honeyiroam Took it on its first 3 day camping trip to the Santa Cruz mountains end of July--it did great! Didn't get to do the route 66 thing because it wasn't ready by then but planning a journey through Arizona and northern New Mexico in Oct.-Nov., visiting friends and attending a western music conference. Will be interesting to adapt to life on the road for 4-6 weeks. Did it in 1973-74 when I was young and fearless, rigged up a Chevy carryall as a camper van way before all the current vanlife folks.
Sounds like fun and a great job! One thing, did you consider how high in elevation you will be, and do either of you get elevation sickness? It won’t be fun if you do!
yess!!! very excited to see our honeys out at camp. We will be pretty close to the Gunnison national forest (pretty sure that's the one) and will be announcing the actual campground as the date approaches! stay tuned !
Very good point! I recently heard about the cans of oxygen and to be honest, the altitude is our biggest concern but we have a solid plan to acclimate, we will chat about it in an upcoming video.
