Imagine the "January Knicks" (14-2 with Anunoby added to Hartenstein, Randle, Hart/DiVincenzo, and Brunson - one loss was without Brunson). Absolutely crushing teams - good teams. Historic net ratings with OG in that group. Now add 1) The game's best offensive rebounder (Robinson). 2) McBride more mature and developed for a full season. 3) Bogdanovic from the Philadelphia series. 4) Burks from the Indiana series. 5) Achiuwa for a full season at a young 25 years old.

I get wanting a haul for Mikal, but what they need to understand is the closer he gets to an expiring contract free, the less valuable his contract becomes. And if his reputation even hints at New York being the preferred destination for him to sign an extension with, it tanks the Nets’ leverage. Why on earth wouldn't the Knicks extend Randle for 4/180? There are only 4 players in the league who gave more than 24-9-5 to their team... Embiid, Luka, Giannis, Jokic. End of list. Honorable mentions to Tatum, LeBron, and AD, who are close but not quite. And they're all making more than 4/180. We'd have to give up too much in addition to Randle for any of those dudes. Run it back. The main piece to sign is OG. Bogdonavich and Burks would be great. Starting 5 Robinson, Randle, OG, Divenzenzo and Brunson with Hardestein, Hart and Bogdanivch coming of the bench would be killer.

Knicks need to look at Mikal Bridges if possible. If not, the other Bridges...Miles Bridges could be perfect for the Knicks and his salary is manageable. Herb Jones should also be considered.

Booker isn't happening. And outside of Bridges, who isn't being traded to the Knicks, all of those options are pretty lukewarm. I guess AD is an interesting idea. Everyone else is either on the wrong side of their career or not a good fit. All signs point to running it back... Randle is 29, tons of accolades, loves playin in NYC

idk if this works , but how about Mitchell Robinson, Bogey, & picks to Atlanta for Trae young who Knicks then trade for Bridges? Would that be appealing to the objective Nets fans out there? I think a high scoring PG who still gets everyone involved in the offense as well, would be great to help a lot of the Nets young talent develop. Atlanta would be set with Dejounte taking over PG , and they will have cap flex with bogey's expiring, while also being all set at center with Capela & Robinson, lastly, the picks they obtain can be turned turn around and used or traded to address other roster deficiencies; So maybe this could work for everyone involved?

I think if we trade for anybody we should go from McKale bridges but they want an arm and a leg and that’s not feasible. We can’t do that now even though Damian Lillard just got to Milwaukee. He may not be staying there long-term so that’s something we should monitor as well Because he would be a really good fit on this team

The Knicks had a nice team in the playoffs. If I were to make a recommendation is: push all of the chips into the middle of the table on the team that played in the playoffs: Give Brunson the long term deal Re sign Anunoby for whatever it takes Re sign Hartenstein for whatever if takes You also have Hart and DeVincenzo as keepers as part of your core. Everybody is expendable and, actually, you need to trade Randle and Robinson because they are both not only cluttering up the court, but the cap, as well. I would trade those two plus Bogdanovich, who will, unfortunately, be a cap casualty for assets that the Brooklyn Nets want plus whatever future picks the Nets want in the Knicks draft stockpile and trade all of that for Mikhail Bridges. Adding Bridges to the nucleus above plus adding by subtracting Randle and Robinson would make the Knicks legitimate title contenders moving forward. A young, talented team that plays the game the right way.

Knicks get Mikal Bridges, Nick Richards Hornets get Mitch Robinson, Ben Simmons, 2-1st from Knicks Nets get Miles Bridges, Bojan Bogdanovic, Davis Bertans, 3-1st from Knicks Knicks complete their Nova Knicks, would free cap space to resign IHart, and get a solid back up big on a team friendly deal. Hornets get a top 10 center (when healthy) which they sorely lack and 2-1st. I’m not sure if Miles wants to stay in Charlotte, so at least the Hornets would get some value back. Nets get Miles Bridges in a sign & trade, who is 2 years younger than Mikal, has high upside, and better than Jalen Green (who Rockets proposed in a trade with Bk). They’d also rid themselves of Ben Simmons and waive Bogi and Bertans, freeing up nearly $30m in cap space, which they’ll need to avoid the luxury tax, after resigning Claxton and Cam Thomas. Most importantly, they’d get at least 3-1st round picks from the Knicks. The Knicks picks may not be great but they can offer the Nets value in other ways

They need to get a viable backup point guard back court help like the tyus jones or something. Maybe actually use some draft picks to develop useful players you can look too when injuries creep up again and make smart investment trades on players who aren’t stars but can still trend upwards like Donte and Josh. If no stars other then that it’s the best way to run it back! I think they lose IHart and resign OG.
