I don’t have a phone but I did something like this on my iPad, and it’s like an ocean theme as I love the colour blue. It’s simple so it doesn’t distract me and I must say that folders have been my best friend with this. Your videos are really calming to watch, really adore your layout and it’s great how there are still ways to create a distraction-free experience on your device. You never disappoint Caitlin 💜 keep being the superstar you are.
disabling app notifications and the app drawer thing have been really great for me. especially the notifications. what i like to do is keep notifications on but turn off banners and lock screen. that way i get the notifications to look at but only if i intentionally open the notification center
Yay, another video!! I do love the Day One app, it's my favorite app to get lost in. It's basically a digital scrapbook so that's a lot of fun! I do often forget to fill it in so perhaps I should allow notifs for that one. To keep a healthy relationship with my phone, I mainly use a timer app or block app throughout the day; even when I'm just watching tv, no phone time! I also try to put it away early into the night but that's a bit more difficult :)
Hi! I’m just watching this and I’m happy to say that Forest has made a huge difference :3 I have different trees and labels for offline time, studying, reading and I love how the little trees are growing up. I can’t turn off my phone because of family situations, so forest (because callings still come in, but not all the texting) has been a cute and fun solution to that :3
Great video! Could you do a video about your process and review of setting up your smart home? Especially about the lights and outlets like you mentioned. xoxo
My Apple Watch has been a huge contributor to me reducing my phone usage - I leave my phone in my bedroom while I’m working and allow only important notifications and calls on my watch. So I tend to better focus on my task instead of mindless scrolling.
I don’t really use my phone much….it tends to live on my desk, because I put it there to charge and forget it. Lol. I like a couple of the apps you mentioned and plan to check them out. Thanks for the video.
Caitlin - just wanted to let you know that the exclamation point at the end of your sentence got added to your Milanote link! It doesn't work correctly without removing that exclamation point manually.
