It's a way of stealing the attention away from the person who is talking. Otherwise, no one would be looking at her. With her rocking her head, touching the other person, and laughing noisily, she brings the spotlight back to herself.

It’s a great illustration on how she misses the mark. Everybody is awkward AF and insecure in unfamiliar situations. (No? Just me and M then? Lol!). But instead of being a woman who can be honest and say “well, that was awkward. I felt intimidated. I can’t believe I did that.”, she lectures everyone else about how she’s been perpetually victimized while harping on about how authentic and impactful she is. No, girl, you just weird. Own it. People like people who can own their awkwardness.

Narcissistic laughter is used to cover for an apathetic personality. The person feels nothing or worse abject hatred and so they use laughter to blanket the conversation in “See, I am nice. No really !”.Loved the way you captured proof of her pure hatred facial expressions.

It's the fake laugh and then she tilts herself forward, bows her head and does the slow blink. My personal favorite is when she talks to herself because she's that insecure and knows the camera is on her so she pretends to have a conservation.

Brilliant!! She’s scary. My best friend and I did a collage of her then told our husbands we were going to play a drinking game. We don’t drink but our husbands do. Every time she touches her hair, they have to take a swig. They were plastered 5 minutes in. It was hysterical. We’ll have to do one of each time she covers her mouth! The hair one is a trip to hospital!!!!

I just realized how often Harry is pretending to be "cheeky" when he's really being mean. Laughing at people not with them. He has a mean spirit.

I often give a little chuckle when posing for photos as it helps the smile look genuine. I wonder if Harry’s wife is in a permanent state of pretending to look genuine as we all know there is nothing naturally genuine about her….hence the constant fake laugh

She goes from a “total guffaw” to a grim look of contempt within a couple seconds! Who does that!? She’s clearly studied laughter, and tries to act it out as well as she can, but must also be aware that she isn’t flawless. She ducks her head, chortles loudly, covers her eyes as well as her mouth, and constantly swipes at that wig or ironed out hair as though laughter makes it come loose. I’m not sure she experiences humor like everyone else does.

It looked to me that the only part of her face that moved was the mouth and she’s just dead around the eyes. She switches that grin off as quickly as she switches it on.

She may have that plastic smile/grin on her face, but if you look at her eyes, you can see her actual disdain and dislike for the person that she's speaking with.

But one of her most repulsive moments was her sniggering when she saw one of the Royal Guards fall unconscious during the Trooping of the Color parade (3:26)--while it was obvious that Catherine was concerned and dismayed, MM on the other hand, tittered in amusement. Makes my blood boil.

Not just creepy, she is HOLLOW as well. Despite having been a working actress, she lacks the skill to present a fake sentiment authentically because she can't access the memories of the required emotions. She can't 'recall' what she doesn't and hasn't ever possessed - genuine human connection and the myriad of emotions these connections generate. The mask slips and reveals.......the emptiness. Small children run a mile from her because they know, they can intuit the horror and the danger! LOVE your work!

Rachel Markle studied Diana for years. She copied her clothes, Diana's wave, covering her mouth when she laughed, her perfume, her walk, Rahel leapt out of cars, rushed ahead of Henry, and dashed to the first person to shake hands with. When Diana did it the movements were a natural part of her. Rachel leans down to people as Diana did. Diana was 6' in heels and leaned down to hear what people were saying. It's cringy to watch Rachel do it with her hunched shoulders. AND keeping her mouth and teeth open ... always. It is exaggerated, and not natural. She studied Diana's radiant smile. Rachel copied it and practiced it. Every clip has this annoying cheesy trashiness about her wide opened mouth and forced laughter. Then came Henry, and Rachel could get up close and personal with Catherine ... and William. She seemed creepy to me from the beginning with that bizarre engagement interview. Rachel started copying Catherine's open mouth, smile and laughter. The difference is Diana and Catherine's laughter is absolutely natural. You can see it in their photos when they were younger. And each clip showed Rachel's cheap looking Chicklets teeth. Stark white which goes with nothing.

Wow. My fave part has to be when it zooms in on the family portrait of Royals, they all look natural then she's doing that fake big grin and the tilt forward. Made me laugh absolute class this vid is 🤣👍

My theory is that many years ago Meghan saw a photo of herself as a young ingenue (or someone else) laughing and hanging their head down and she thought it was cool so she continually tries to emulate it. She did it at Smart Works (no one else was laughing) and the b/w photo of she and Harry (forget what that was for). It's ridiculous and thank you for the compilation!!! I've always thought it was CONTRIVED.

Not all of it was fake but many times you could see her insecurity covered over by her mannerisms.

Reminds me of my self-obsessed ex-"friend" who did a lot of fake laughs for the camera. She'd even tell us to fake laugh when we took photos together. She was quite the social climber too. When she got a rich, well-placed boyfriend, she promptly dropped all of us who were friends for over a decade and focused on her Instagram friends.
