I love growing Peperomia Pellucida (rau càng cua) becuase they are beautiful and delicious. This plant is considered a tropical herb and prefer lots of moisture and shade.

Here in SaiGon Vietnam we let it grow anywhere. It enjoys living in cooler damp areas. We let friends and neighbors help themselves. With a vinegar dressing is my favorite.

In the Philippines we call it "pansit-pansitan". I grew up thinking it was a weed coz some would just grow randomly on the soil of my mother's potted cacti and she would pull it out.

@@KhangStarr My fenugreek sprouts always spoil, rot, can I rinse the sprouts with a drop of peroxide in it?...want to avoid rotting of the seeds/sprouts... I can only grow a short root after 2 days the roots are about 1 1/2 cm long and from then on he root tips start shrinking and turning brown. How can I avoid premature rotting of fenugreek sprout roots?? Daytime temps here are ard 33 degrees I also tried rinsing the seeds less often..now I just soak one night and after that I lightly spray with clean water, but they still rot.
@KhangStarr
@KhangStarr 5 лет назад
@@Ullimately If it's rotting, it's probably because some of your seeds are bad, and you have too many close together. I cannot comment on peroxide, I never use it. Try getting fresh seeds that are less than a year old.
@Ullimately
@Ullimately 5 лет назад
@@KhangStarr Thanks. In the past I sprouted them by covering the bottom of my sprouting container, soaking them over night, draining, rinsing, draining...and from then on rinse once per day and drain. It worked well. Now they tend to rot. Somewhere I read that if the seeds are contaminated they could be disinfected with water containing a very small amount of peroxide for half an hour and then soak and rinse like normal. Do you think it might be the temperature?...here its 33-35 degrees every day and at night it cools down to 25 degrees C. I have t fresh seeds. In the past I successfully used older seeds which were packaged in a plastic bag, stored in the fridge. I have used my new seeds to make fenugreek leaves.That works fine, only just sprouting without soil doesnt work any more.
@KhangStarr
@KhangStarr 5 лет назад
@@Ullimately It's possible that temperature without air circulation will cause them to mold and rot. I grow mine indoors at round 73 F, which is around 22 C.
