This is the problem with these blind tastings. You try to guess whats what and it skews the results. Just taste the whisky and tell us whats the best.

I agree. I usually tend to watch some that don't even tell you what they're trying anymore so they don't try to identify them. But I'm sure for as long as they do it, it's second nature to try and do so

Eagle Rare is $100 around me whenever you can find it. Heaven Hill is finally back on the shelf and can be had around $50.

I was just at Costco in CA and they have 1.75L knobb creek 9yr 100 proof for $49.99 😊 that has to be the best deal for a daily drinker, I’ve also seen eagle rare 1.75L at Costco only once for around the same price

I tried the rare breed, and it is alright, but I prefer a single malt. It was the only bourbon I ever tried so I'm not sure if it is a bourbon-specific thing or just a wild turkey thing but it is a strange flavour, besides the obvious oak, I get a sort of sickly sweet carrot aftertaste with a bit of a vegetable/root tang. IDK, I also found it too alcohol burn forward, it felt a bit too young (even if its supposed to be a blend of 6,8 and 12 years I believe? )and unfortunately chill-filtered. I've had cask strength scotch on the other hand and it was very aromatic without the acetone on the nose.

Loved this, really not a big fan of Knob Creek and I love Eagle Rare/Four Roses so I think we have different tastes haha

Rare breed is always over 50 in the Austin area these days. It’s usually around 55-60 in my area.

Fun fact, here in Brazil ER i paid like 40$...and the rest of the list are costing almost 130$! Rare Breed costs 130$ here and i cry every night for that.

KC 9yr typically can be found for under $40 in KY; where RB runs close to $60

Eagle Rare is only under 50 in Kentucky if you buy it at the distillery. Hard to find here and its made here lol.

I had a pour of the Heaven Hill BiB at a bar and was pretty underwhelmed, especially for a $40+ bottle. Knob Creek and Four Roses SiB have a lot more going on.

Never had the heaven hill but all of the others are good. I probably like the Eagle Rare the best followed by the Knob Creek and Rare Breed.

I've only been watching for a couple weeks now because TJ keeps popping up in my shorts feed, but I love the content. I'm not sure I'm a neat bourbon drinker yet but I do have 4 new bottles to keep playing with. Worst case I have lots of good options for old fashioned drinks. Also - I'm sad that Redwood Empire Pipe Dream didn't make the list.

Rare Breed is over $60 near me. I think I paid $68 after tax for it. Worth it though, it's fantastic.

I take a lot of grief of Knob Creek as my favorite everyday pour. Of course, it is readily available. I've never tried Eagle Rare because I can't get it, which is a point in favor of Knob Creek.

I am super impressed so no hate from me. It is crazy good that you can get them all right from the nose and then verify while tasting. Jill is great as well with her opinions on the taste. I have never seen the HH BiB but have had the other 4. It was at different times and the KC I only have had a couple of glasses so a little hard to tell which one is best. It's easy to pick the top 2 and that is the FR and ER by far over the other 2 with the FR getting a slight edge. I love the ER but just a little too sweet to have more than 1 glass in a night. I would take the KC over the RB. They are all good with the FR and ER being really good. Then again who knows if I did a blind I might pick different ones.

Jill is the coolest chick. Love these two. Anyway, good blind test. I just picked up a bottle of the Knobb Creek 9. Haven't tried it yet. One day I'll get some Eagle Rare. It's nearly impossible to find here.

Knob creek 9 is my current go-to. I managed a bottle of the 12 year and it’s fantastic. Bought a Heaven Hill on a recommendation from the shop keeper and I’m not impressed. Won’t buy again.

It sounds like you have a third guy filming? Have them do the blinding but make it so the tasters don’t know what the options are. Do a complete blind review so you can’t guess what it is. If you know what you are drinking you will be more biased
