i love you, often in the other reviews videos the prices are from stores in specifics locations, and I am from chile so no way is the same price here, but aliexpress is a neutral place for everyone to shop. thank you.
As a corsair k70 cherry mx lux red owner (bought it in aus so it was pretty expensive around the $150 mark), I can say that the k8 (one up) really did impress me. where as the rest failed to impress me. but that's just me other than the k28 being quiet. Although the cooler master one wasn't too bad. Tech "yes" bargain value peripheral
I bought the gk61 with red switches for 30$ on sale (normally its like 35-40$) and it's reeeally good for the price imo and it looks Hella similar to the Anne pro 2 (it's a 60% keyboard) Edit: it's an *_RK61_* it's a Lotta -k's I must say
Where did you get it that cheep? I'm looking to get one, but only found ones that go for around 70-80$... Do you have hot swappable switches on your version?
@@ilaserbia sorry I already edited the comment, it's a rk61 instead of a gk61, but I believe the rk61 is just the same exact copy of the gk61 just cheaper, and about those hot swappable switches, I'm not sure but I think it can be hot swapped on the rk61 too, but haven't tried doing that yet
@@mirrekku The rk61 is not hot swappable and im not sure, but I think that it uses different firmware and/or software. Those 35-50$ gk61 keyboards on AliExpress are the optical switch version which aren't the real deal unfortunately. I'm really thinking of hand wiring a 60% keyboard on a gh60 chasis and plate and using a Arduino pro micro with QMK as a controller because I really want to have the Gateron Brown silent switches in my KB.
I like the aliexpress bargain hunts. Personally would like to see you look at wireless mechanical keyboards bang-for the-buck ,maybe a monitor/tv recommendation?
Q: What are the two peripherals that every computer user touches: Keyboard and Mouse. Do not buy 'bargains', and have to buy again because they are poorly designed, use sub-standard components and are cheaply made. Avoid 'buyers remorse' and a pile of junk parts in your closet...
I highly recommend motospeed keyboards, they are imo, some of the best value for money budget mechanical keyboards you can get and you can get them with different outemu switches. I got my CK 104 with outemu reds. If u want to get a keyboard with software that is similar to the CK 104, the CK 103 is the keyboard for you. And they have lots of different form factor keyboards and ones that come with wrist rests and software.
Grabbed a velocifire tkl02 for 25 bucks on an amazon lightning deal. White backlighting with clean font double shot keycaps and brown switches. Honestly more happy with that purchase over my coolermaster and razer keyboards.
I have been using the Cougar Deathfire EX Combo. The RGB effects/colours and build quality are really good. The mouse has adjustable settings for DPI and polling rate. The only downside is that the mouse has forward and back buttons on the side which aren't customisable and are really easy to hit
I bought the TECHWARE PHANTOM 104 keyboard for 59.99 delivered, from AliExpress. It has RGB, a alu-metal front plate and excellent blue switches. Great build quality (it is hefty in weight too), no excess bling, great price. Completely pleased with this purchase. I also bought for the kids two Motospeed K87S ABS USB2.0 Wired Mechanical Keyboards with RGB Backlight, Blue Switch, 1.8m Cable: they were $45 each from ALI, delivered. Again, these smaller form keyboards have excellent build quality and performance. Very pleased with these too. I did a lot of research and boiled it down to the above, with no regrets. If you want to go cheaper on a full size, then for just under $45 there is the Motospeed CK104. Decent build, mechanical blue switches, RGB. This one has received pretty good reviews, but it is not in the same league (heft, build quality) as the Techware Phantom. However, at this price...it's a compelling product IMO.
I use rosewill rk-9000v2 with cherry mx blues! Absolutely godly keyboard 3.45 pounds of a tank aswell with braided, gold plated ps/2 or usb cables removable cables!
I would like that to but I want tech yes to really test out the sensors. I've had terrible experiences with Ali mouse's and I think it's just better to go used.
honestly, looking how cheap the mice like g203, g403, sensei 310 and the like are, I would say stay away from ali mice (unless you need a mouse under 20$).
I would recommend a wireless mechanical keyboard, velocifire tkl02. It has a battery that lasts for a week , metal bottom plate, charges via type c cable, uses outemu brown switches, great build quality, and comes in about $40 if lucky you can get it on sale for less. You can find on Amazon or from velocifire 's website.
I have to say - I'll never buy a keyboard without media keyes (at least volume up/down, mute, play/pause and next/previous track), unless it's a really impressive deal ($200 to $20 type of thing).
i bought motspeed gk89 wireless/wired from aliexpress and arrived just 2 days ago. and it wonderfull!!!! 2 full days running on wireless and its better than wired natec thor keyboard i had before!!
I picked up a Drakan tenkeyless keyboard while I was in Korea! Saw a pretty sizable keyboard section in some megamarket and tried them all out. My first experience with mechanical keyboards. The only ones they had that I liked were two Logitech Cherry MX keyboards that cost €100 or more, and this Drakan that only cost me 26 euro or so! It's been great! I don't know how long it will last, as there is some key wobble and the switches are definitely some no name Cherry MX Blue clones, but they felt close to the real MX Blues to me. The sound of them isn't equal though, again showing poor quality vs the real deal, but in the end, it's cheap and I enjoy it :) Plus it doesn't look all gamery which is a must in my book! I like clean setups.
Watching the video, looks like the 2nd keyboard (the K-28) is a different rebrand of my Drakan rebrand (there are many brands selling this particular keyboard) The casing differs a little, but the switches and LEDs definitely appear to be the same.
I agree that you prefer better mouse than fancy keyboard. The G102 has good shape and size (for me at least) while extremely cheap if one of its switch becomes double-clicked. I do not recommend the membrane with any marketing term of "mechanical feels". I left my G213 somewhere in my house. It's that bad!
Bryan, you should probably check the Motospeed K27 Hand keyboard and V30 mouse, i just recently ordered them and they perform really good, the V30 mouse even has Omron microswitches, as for the K27 it has Blue mechanical switches, probably Kahil because they feel pretty good. its around 40$ shipped for both, a really nice combo to go to LAN partys or maybe some events where u have to bring your own stuff.
I managed to get the Rii K66 keyboard (mechanical keyboard, "red switches" ) for under £30 on Amazon! I am quite pleased with it, especially for the price.
Awesome video Brian. The Mem-chanical keyboards are a bit of a gimmick but there are some decent options, like the Sumvision Sonic Wave in the UK for £20 ($26). I would also recommend the Cooler Master CK550 Mechanical Keyboard - you can get it for as low as £50 ($65).
I am using the k28 keyboard. It's really good value for the money. I do suggest to buy the black version. White keycaps get dirty easily. It's hassle to clean keycaps to remove oil stains.
Motospeed have mechanical keyboards for just above 40$. They also have combos. I bought one such combo from aliexpress. Unexpectedly, i had to pay tax, so that made the combo a bit more expensive.
I have very similar keyboard like the CoolerMaster one (it is still CM but it is different model, most likely different branding here in my region) and I'm ok with it. Had a deal with a friend who needed a mouse and we picked up the combo. The combo was around 50euros in my region and I sold him the mouse for 10 or 15 (dont remember exactly) so for 35-40 euros, 2 years ago, I think it was a good deal. The keyboard holds up very well to this day but I want to buy one of these mechanical keyboards not full size cuz I play alot of CS:GO and smaller keyboard will be better plus I want to try these mechanical switches and compare them to the CM's mem-chanical ones. Great video man! Keep up the good work! :)))
I decided to go for a used Logitech G610 Orion Brown. Man, this keyboard screams quality and sturdiness. I have no doubts it will serve me much longer than any membrane keyboard. I really could advise everyone to search for something similar in your online selling websites, because it's not that much of a lottery.
Ive used Motospeed K40 before. Its a good mechanical feeling keyboard, but the legend is not doubleshot and the white legend gets dirty overtime. I like the rubber dome switch on it actually. Better than rubber dome on other keyboard. Then, I upgrade to Tecware Phantom RGB TKL that only costs MYR160 (~USD40) that is real mechanical keyboard with full RGB.
That one up keyboard is beautiful for the price. The lighting is done pretty well and the aluminium finish is awesome. I will be looking into this one ❤ thanks Brian
Out of the 4 keyboards you'd recommend the K8 One Up. As that is sold out, you put a link to something similar in the video description, yet the keyboard you link is one that you already reviewed about a year ago and you trashed it for it's build quality. Am I missing something here or was that simply a mistake from your side ?
I was looking at that too, not just that but it seems the one up even went a bit higher than 40 even before it was sold out. Looked way too good to be true.
hey tech yes i'm an aussie, and your one of the only good aussie tech youtubers. I was just wondering if you could show the aussie pieces as well or instead of the USD seeing that they have a lot more channels they can check out we only have one.:)
After 4 years, I'm still super happy with my ajazz ak33 that I got for 30$ with black switches, price seems to have gone up on this only and reviews are still super solid. But if anything, I would totally consider getting a real mech keyboard of aliexpress, news on new models being release under 40$ is always good to see.
Found a good and cheap keyboard on Taobao, for about $31 SGD shipped, or $21 USD! It has the MIC brown switches but feels great. The casing is plastic but should have a metal plate inside as there is no flexing on this keyboard. The brand is 狼途 (LangTu) or Wolf Totem, model K1000 (their X1000 seems to be almost same with little physical appearance differences). Cannot find this brand in Aliexpress though. Should try Taobao to buy your stuff, they have much more stuff there compare to Aliexpress.
this video is exactly why people pay super high prices for quality keyboards. The aesthetics were great on the two bottom performing keyboards. The top performing keyboards looked like complete poop... bad branding/text, rainbow lights, etc. If they just made that top keyboard with white backlighting and the aesthetic of either of the white keyboards.
i got a wireliss gaming mouse off ebay less then 5nzd free shipping from china and its built really well and works perfect was shocked for how cheap it is
Velocifire also has some really banging keyboards for $30. I got their tenkeyless board with brown switches and its been going strong for almost 3 years now.
Hey bro, I actually have one of these keyboards, and they aren't originally called One-up, they're originally called WESDAR keyboards from CDR-King and what the YES Man is saying the keyboard is frickin amazing given its dirt-cheap price. Try looking up WESDAR CDR-King mechanical keyboard and you might find one, it truly is a great keyboard for its price.
@@hanzaR6 I found the product but seems like their online store doesn't work. Not sure if they do overseas shipping either, although I'm in South Asia 🥺
I’d love to see you review the Velocifire TKL02. I have a VM01 by them (full size 104) and it’s one of the best keyboards I’ve used, especially on a budget. Most of the budget mechanical keyboards I see use blue knock off switches, however these use brown switches which I tend to prefer. Cheers and thanks for the review!
Here in the USA, 25 dollars can get you a keyboard with Cherry MX blacks, double shot ABS keycaps, and insanely brick tier build quality. (steel switch and bottom plate) I'm actually typing on one right now.
the keyboard at 13:00 i got that on amazon for 20€ but without he hand rest but same keys and colors and with extra switches. sold it to my oncle for 20€ he used to use a logitech g15 but he fell in love with the mecanic keyboard :) i lent i to him for 3 months and ask you wanna buy it or not? he hummm yeah why not, i say i mean you didnt complain about it :)
I'd be really curious to see the "research and buying" process when making purchases from aliexpress. Have you thought about doing a livestream where you interact with the viewers and go through your thought process when making these acquisitions?
Redragun has surprised me with there quality have purchased 2 different mechanical keyboards of there’s for builds and everyone has loved them , for the price the build quality was great deal
Redragon K561 VISNU is amazing i got it for around 32$ USD over a year ago and its amazing!! It doesn't have the obnoxious logo on it. Edit: its 40$ on amazon right now
aula f2088 is also quite decent got for secondary rig and its surprising value, includes wrist rest "customizable" rgb (not very customizable but.....) media and volume weel, yay thing i love of my k95 its similar there too so, for 35$, worth it, has nothing bad and actually looks nice and more expensive with the included wrist rest wich is ok, not very soft but... works
Nice comparo! One thing came to mind, what can you get from AliExpress etc. if you spend the same money as that Coolermaster one? Do you get something decent?
For the love of god guys please get anything with gateron reds. All the other red type switches have such an ass keyfeel (and that includes cherry mx red)
You should try out the VicTsing mechanical gaming keyboard from Amazon, it’s pretty cheap and I think it’s a very good keyboard for the price and performance
All of those just look much too small for me. I am using a razer keyboard I bought for 100 dollars 7 or 8 years ago and it still works. Some of the keys are chipped other than that and it requiring 2 USB ports to power it I have no complaints. Just feels right and really concerned when it breaks id even be up for buying the same exact keyboard again.
The JIXIANG switches are just Cherry MX blue clones. you can even replace them with cherries witch makes that key board up gradable. the JIXIANG switches themselves aren't too far off Chry mx blues to begin with though. Iv'e got an Eagle keyboard that uses them and I've replaced my WASD with real cherries and I think the actuation point is just a little higher on the real deals
shoudl of upped the price to 45 us dollars.. tecware phantom 87 is 45 us dollars and is amazing and has hot swap switches and FULL RGB.. also the e-element z-88 has hot swap for 40 us dollars and FULL RGB.. .. look into it mannnn
