I have an SSA-E or SSA-EX in every build. I don't want to wonder what trigger I have in my hand, and I need it to be perfect. There are other places to cut costs, but the trigger is not it.
My trigger lineup: - G2S in a 300BLK - SSA-E in a 11.5” 556 SBR - SD-E in a 556 14.5” GPR - SSF in 12.5” Gordon 😉 - Triggertech 18” SPR - CMC in a few range toys
My brother had me install a GA trigger in his LWRCI. I loved it. He loved it. I now have one in my rifle. I’ve been a custom gunsmith for 30 years. I’m a retired law enforcement armorer. These triggers are the best. The price is big but it is the best trigger!

Can't get a better product for the price point. Waited 9 weeks for a URGI on black Friday and it was well worth it. Immaculate machining and craftsmanship. I have an SD-C with an SSAE spring swap and an SSAE in both of my ARs and i can't imagine using anything else.
Thats awesome, we love the SSA-E as well! Thank for your patience during Black Friday. Although the lead time is there, it is well worth it for the amazing deals!
Bill has an amazing 4-part series here on RU-vid. The trigger is incredible and offers an incredible amount of adjustability. If you have any questions about it, call our CS team!
I don’t care what Reddit says or whatever graphs are floating around. Geissele triggers feel better than the Larues. Geisseles are $150 on sale while the Larues are $115. The geisseles are definitely worth the $35 extra. Though I always feel the need to caveat by saying the Larues are not bad by any means. I have multiple and really enjoy them as well.
I've said it before but it can't be said enough, Geissele is hands down the best bang for your buck in the AR game. From triggers, to rails, to BCGs, and everything else. I absolutely love my 10.3" geissele rig. That SSA-X trigger is 🔥, and the nanoweapon coating on the REBCG makes cleaning it a matter of wiping it with a rag.
You can't beat the second stage on ANY Geissele trigger...the base models all the way up to the cream of the crop. The only other manufacturer I know that comes close is LaRue with their MBT-2S.
Just became one of my favorite firearm support companies thanks to Bill. Thank you for what you have given to our community, and I will be sure to support your company going forward!
My Timney are really sweet. Not saying these are bad as I don’t have one but my Timney are flawless. I’m probably going to get a lot of hate. Don’t hate the shooter. Hate the trigger. Word
When I assembled my 1st ar I was on a budget so my first none mil spec trigger was the alg act which is a good trigger, waaay better than standard mil spec! Then I wanted to put together something a little higher end so I got the SSA. That trigger changed my opinion completely, it is absolutely awesome trigger! My most recent project was an 18" ar10 for deer, hogs & range fun of course. I got the SSA-E-X & it's phenomenal. I don't like idea of of these drop in triggers, I stay away from them. Only triggers I'll buy & recommend at this point is Geissele & I've already turned multiple friends into using them. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for & their worth it! I still need to buy couple more. Then all my ar's will have one in them. I like to do 2 things with my free time, kayak fishing & firearms, anything I can do to make those activities even better I will, & these triggers will absolutely do that! Thanks for your guys hard work & awesome products!!!
My only experience is with the SSA-X, and I honestly don't think I'd need/want another trigger. It's just barely heavy enough to not inadvertently fire off a round, and yet just light enough that I don't notice any deviation shooting off a bench. Breaks crisp and predictable, and just the right amount of take up and over travel. Great feeling all around trigger. Miles better than good mil spec stuff.
Im new to doing a trigger upgrade. I run the new MK18 R3. Does anyone have a suggestion on which of these would be best in that platform? I was thinking about the combat trigger. Self-defense and range training. Not competition.
Okay, I'm a fan. After buying Geissele Tricon 2 stage trigger. I like the bow and the first stage pull to hold for the break. It made me a better shooter, I used to "jerk" or anticipate the bang. Now, I can get to the "wall" and then pull through to the bang.
I can’t believe I waited so long to upgrade my mil spec trigger. Now with an SSA installed in my URGI build I will be able to fully utilize the accuracy of the upper.
So RU-vid, Meta, and the like are very restrictive in what we can say and do. But other users are correct, they do happen. Follow X and Reddit they are much easier to work with.
Nice. I’ve got their 3.5 lb in my FM9. Love the firearm!!! No more Geissele for me. Just learned last week they wouldn’t ship to most Colorado cities. They are great but there are other options.
Bill your wingman Jason is no joke. So articulate and luv his metaphorisch. But I new you only have the best. With my companys,." Your only as good as,ones, weakest link BUT my ambassitor ( statement) articulates the culture you worked so hard to create. One can do 99 good jobs and 1 preceived wrong or simply wrong. Your new culture is the da,wrong. Jason is bringing da HEAT. LIKE THE MOVIEHEAT AT THE BANK FIRE FIGHT. VAL KILMER BRINGIN IT . ALL SMOKE
I love your triggers, the SD-C, S3G, SSA-E. I wish I could try the lightning trigger bow, just swapping out the bow. Without needing to drop 330 on an entire trigger just for the bow.
I bought my first geissele national match at least 14 or more years ago. I've tried a few other brands, but the quality of the geissele is top notch, still my favorite. Now these new ssa e x is #1.
YES! This is actually a common thing. Many like the candy-cane like break of the SSA-E, but want a slightly heavier pull weight. Simply look at the SSA spring replacement kit and swap them out.
Each fabrication process has its benefits and drawbacks. We found that Precision Investment Casting works phenomenally for triggers. It is very different than just a MIM'd part. To avoid a novel, send me a DM I'd be happy to talk to you more about the process!
Hate to be "that guy" but the last SSA-E i bought is a 3 stage. About 70% of the time. There is a hitch before break, most of the time, sometimes not, randomly unpredictable. Yes it's clean, yes it's lubed, yes I've removed/reinstalled it. In the process of standardizing my rifles, and this has me rethinking this direction.
We 100% want to support you! If there is an issue with the trigger, we obviously want to get you squared away. Did you happen to reach out to our Customer Service team? What platform is it installed in?
@GeisseleAutomatics It's in a 6.5 Grendel that started life as a factory Radical Firearms upper, tossed everything but the 20" stainless barrel. Now wearing Lantac UAR receiver with enhanced carrier and JP bolt, Geissele Mk 4 15", Geissele gas block. Lower standard Aero anchor forge, Super 42 spring and H-1, SSA-E. I wouldn't have done all that but the barrel is a superb shooter, very consistent cold to hot.
I've had multiple Geissele triggers, and I got to say, I honestly like Triggertech triggers better. I was so pissed when I bought my first Triggertech, it was so smooth and crisp, I knew it was going to get expensive replacing all my other triggers. I've got their more economical Duity triggers, and for $110, good luck finding anything close to as good. I've got a Diamond, and it's stupid how nice it is, but pricey. My go-to bang for the buck has been their Competition. For the money, they are ridiculously nice! Geissele's are nice, they use to be my go-to, but I warn you, if you like single stage triggers, don't buy a Triggertech unless you have the funds to replace all your other triggers. Don't try the Kool-aid unless you're willing to chug the hole pitcher, cause you will.
Replaced a Geissele single stage with a Elftman roller bearing single stage..If your looking for your first good trigger buy one of Geissele triggers , you can't go wrong but it's not for everyone ..
I took a pass on Geissele. Why buy their triggers when they won't sell you their rifles in NY/NJ/ or CT? Ironically many companies have their own versions of match triggers that are just as good.
Also, earth is not a spinning basketball careening through the void of space. No, the earth doesn't spin underneath a bullet if it doesn't under a hovering helicopter.
Sounds kind of awesome, but I don't see any other likes or comments. Should I call BS? I don't know. I don't have one of these triggers. I do have a geisley though.
As we get closer to launch, we will have more information. We are extremely excited about it. We are in the final stages and will be sharing more very soon.
