That was great. I really got a good feel for hardware now. I'm fairly new to msfs 2020 and my hotas 4 flightstick has made flying possible where I was really struggling with mouse/kb. But, I might upgrade later but right now at age 65 I do this from a lapdesk and flightstick on the couch.

Flight sticks and pedals are nice as well. If you buy a couple you can have a dual chair set up for an Airbus. Or you can put them both on one seat for a space sim. I think the best set up is one that’s diverse!

As a 76-year-old who (safely) owns and flies complex aircraft, I take great exception to your condescending remark about older sim users. Needless to say, I won't be ordering my new system (or anything else) from Sporty's in the future.

When your title says "Hardware For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020", it implies "Computer Hardware". Flight Sim 2020 has serious computer requirements to function properly, and this video didn't talk about that at all.

The Thrustmaster pedals are great, but the pedals with the adjustable tension look interesting. It just might help offset the insanely sensitive rudder on MSFS.

MSFS 2020 for VFR, eye candy. Xplane 11 for IFR and professionals/training. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo throttle quadrant, and MFG Crosswind V3 pedals. Don't skimp on cheap crap.

Yes! CH Yoke is much better for me than the Saitek....and I still like it more over the Honeycomb. It's more consistent in feel. Throw some hall sensors in the CH and you'd have a winner.

Hey thanks for the great video, I was unaware of the fact that you can mix and match. That was really valuable to know. I am seriously thinking about investing in a flight sim setup, I know all the rage right now is MSFS2020, but from a lot of resent research, it sounds like XP11 might be closer to real world. Your thoughts? I know you sell Redbird, and they are very impressive systems, but very pricey as well. I had hoped to get in for under $2000 but not sure thats possible. Looking at a dedicated computer that would only run the sim. I'm a private pilot and I own a Piper Cherokee 180. I've flown into Sporty's once, its a great spot. I'll have to get in there again. X-Plane 11 is a great sim too. It's definitely more mature as a software package, and very realistic. Comparing it to MSFS2020 is tough - kind of a Coke or Pepsi thing - but honestly either one would be useful.

I'm 60 and I've just bought a Honeycomb yoke and throttle quadrant. Less condescending comments about older people not being to dumb or frail to handle a flight sim yoke please! If I'm old enough to be your dad I was probably using MSFS before you were out of diapers, so I think I can figure it out. I'm actually able to use a yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals WITHOUT falling off the chair or dribbling on my keyboard, go figure!

I remember going Fry’s electronics back in the day and buying the controller withers the most buttons and throttle control. They always seemed to have driver issues and never worked properly with the game I was playing.

The switch panel on my Logitech DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I can't get the computer to recognize it. My yolk and throttle array work fine, but not the switch panel.

I use the thrustmaster T3PA pedal set for rudder and I take my gate off my TH8A shifter and bind it like a side click and I use my other TH8A shifter that I use for a hand brake usually and set it up as throttle with sequential plate on it... If I play dcs world only issue I have is I dont have a gun trigger on the side click so a made a stand for my xbox controller and I bind different things to it as needed

I have a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and on the waiting list for the Bravo throttle quadrant (from Sporty's of course). The yoke and crosswind rudder pedals are sic. My question: Can I utilize VR and still make use of the hardware? I can't imagine memorizing all the switches and stuff on the yoke and quadrant but would love to try VR.

I like my thrust master pedals and throttle control, but the flight stick is terrible for anything but fighter jets. I really need a Logitech yoke. May slide down this weekend and check your stuff out.

Too bad that the simulation equipment manufacturing company Diagma simulator is bankrupt, this start-up has created good best hardware such as, the panel, GPS and a lot of other hardware, and fortunately, I took advantage of it from Algiers Algeria to acquire the panel as well as the GPS 530! I hope that this start-up will see the light of day, one day, hopefully ! Thank you :))

Don't bother selling the CH yoke or Saitek/Logitech equipment anymore with Honeycomb around. They are products that are dragging in the dirt, and it isn't even worth the shelf space now. The only thing to say about them is... "it is better than nothing"

Yes you definitely can. It is a very configurable throttle. You can have configuration for every aircraft. I have have it and it’s really increased my enjoyment of MSFS2020.

Honeycomb is the sweet spot. CH is too cheaply made. Logitech is far too expensive by the time you have the minimum yoke/tpm/pedals and still is a bit toyish. Redbird is just too expensive, I would never get what I would call a good return on that brand and I fly everyday in MSFS2020. Have the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo....can't wait for Charlie!

Definitely a yoke. A sidestick would limit your options with other planes tremendously. Although they're sold out everywhere, wait for the honeycomb yoke and throttle. You won't be disappointed!

Don’t get the thrustmaster pedals whatever you do, they are very sticky and result in erratic rudder response. Plastic on aluminium rails-no grease or silicone sprays will work for long. Very poor product design.

I loved all this stuff, I want to get into MSFs but now MSFS can be played on Xbox series X, and there is some new hardware in the market for Xbox, not sure whether it is better to play it on PC or Xbox. Does anybody out there has an opinion? Cheers

Pc offers a whole lot more like being able to get high quality airplanes from companies like PMDG and A2A. I like being able to fly around on the Xbox on the couch with a controller and using a yoke and throttle and pc.
