I add 2 eggs to my shin ramen, to make it a meal :) After I boil the noodles and add the sachet, I put the noodles and a good amount of broth in a bowl, and use the leftover broth to fry my eggs (so they are flavoured). Sometimes i also put some cooked spinach and cheese in it too. My favourite way to eat Ramen.
Shin ramen is pretty versatile. Instant sun dubu ramen- Stick soft tofu in and poach an egg or two while the noodles soften. 4 minute dandan noodles- add peanut butter or sesame paste as a thickener. Italian style sauce ramen: Weeb carbonara- Wisk two eggs together with a bit of oil and mayo (if you have pecorino roano, add it). If you want a carbonara consistency, remove most of the water and constantly stir the egg mixture on low heat until it emulsifies (not scrambled... the mayo makes it a little easier). However, you could just use the egg mixture as a thickening agent for the soup. Shin ramyun cacio y pepe: cook the ramen in the broth, when noodles are ready, dump most of the liquid (just enough to be there), and stir some butter in. Turn off burner and mix in a lot of finely grated pecorino romano until mixture thickens.
don't forget the meats also! poached runny egg, meats, Shiitake and other vegetables, is total heaven! i even add miso salty to add more flavour, i can't get enough of it
Jin ramen is the best basic ramen, you can get it in varied spiciness. Mild was the best for my students, there were no complaints about spiciness every time i threw them a ramen party and it is hands down my favourite. Ottogi makes all my favourites that I miss now that I’m no longer in Korea like the ramen bokki, cheese bokki, spaghetti bokki, sesame ramen, and even the ppushu ppushu snacks.
Thank you. I’m craving for Ramen so I ordered my Ippudo Ramen but too expensive I don’t want to spend that much whenever I crave for Ramen. Will def go with your 2Best since I do have a local Asian store. Thanks again.
I love the buldak stew kind, it’s got the perfect noodle, spice, savoriness, and a bit of sweetness. shin ramen used to be my fav but now going back to that, I find it extremely salty without the sweetness balancing it.
The overwhelming msg+ some spice of the shin ramen serves as a canvas for me to do stuff with. It's a frame of mind. You poach an egg in it, stir the yolk in, and it's suddenly much better. Add a slice of american cheese --> also much better. Buldak products are too sweet for that to work.
Then Carbo noodles is actually their best seller...It's also my personal favorite. Its spicy but not nuclear spicy like the Original Buldak Spicy ones.
@@jazafathimaak2010 by British standards it is quite spicy, yes. I suppose it depends what level of spice you're used to. I think the cup noodles are a little less spicy than the packet noodles, and there are also ways to prepare it to make it less spicy, for example if you add cheese and/or mayo that helps with the spice. There are plenty of different ways to eat them. You should definitely give it a go :)
Jin is my favorite, especially if you kick it up by putting an egg and some veggies. The flavor is good, but more importantly, the texture of the noods is perfect, satisfyingly chewy
From a Korean who live off of ramyun (jk), his assessment is about 96% accurate. Some inaccurate statements include when he talks about some classic ramyuns and includes jin with buldak with shin.. no no. The classics are shin, jin, and samyang. The most underrated is definitely kokomen as it's a clear broth but surprisingly great in flavor and a bit of spice. Neoguri is also a solid choice although personally I think it's slightly too salty and I'd give it a 9/10. Great balance in spice and seafood flavor though. Solid video
Well it's less of "he didn't like rice cake" it's more "he didn't like this particular brand of rice cake" He's lived in Korea I'm sure he's tasted actually rice cakes from like a street market so ye
I think you are the most high-performing person who reviews the noodles perfectly. "Shin Ramen" is absolutely tasty noodles for Koreans as well. it's accounts for about 60% out of the whole Korean domestic noodle market.
Now, take that shit to the next level. Take 2 packs of Shin ramen, boil both noodles with both vegetable packs, discard one seasoning pack. In a wok or decent skillet, fry up a few ounces of ground pork and a few ounces of green onion with a splash each of a neutral oil, chili oil and chili crisp. Once it's all cooked up good and crispy add a splash of soy sauce, your one seasoning pack and a splash of your noodle water. Then drain noodles and add to the skillet/wok. Drizzle with sesame oil, add fresh green onion and splash with soy sauce to taste. Stir fry that shit and be ready to be blown out of a canon to flavor land.
No joke, super noodles bbq beef had the best broth out of 100s of instant ramen I’ve tried. Then you add chipotle chilli flakes, a drop of tobasco. It’s insane please try it
Hey just found your channel and i gotta say for 1 your a genius and for 2 you were made for youtube. The way you choose videos that will work well split up into shorts is soo smart. And your speech patterns and personality are so engaging mixed with your style of editing makes it super addictive to watch. Also having your shorts channel separated is nice cause people that want to watch your long form content dont have to scroll through all your shorts not a big thing but your the first channel I've seen do that and i appreciate it. I can tell you've wanted to this for a long time cause everything is way to well thought out. I can keep rambling about how much this channel is inspiring me but i think ill leave it here before it gets to long and i decide to delete it which is something i do all the time
Huh. Paldo makes a good flavor, who knew? I'll have to give Kokomen a try, cause generally Paldo noodles are.. not bad just very disappointing for me? But I'm willing to see if I can find a goody. Roppoki looks super good and I'll have to hunt some down as well.
Wow~ Long journey to taste all~! Still, I recommend you to taste 'dosirak' which is Russian`s favorite Korean noodle (Some Russians even don't know that is korean one), '육계장, '튀김우동','설렁탕면'' snd 'kimchi sabal-myeon'. those are authentic ones with shin & Jin ramen. Cheers~! ^^
2:45 I really like your vid so far, your editing really hits up my alley but this was just a bit overedited, could've done without stock minecraft sip, milki man ad is funny enough alrady xD
I have tried shin ramen before. Not what I expected it was so spicy it took me 30 minutes or 1 hour to finish. There was really chewy prices of meat, that I couldn't chew, so I threw it in the trash (not the whole thing, the chewy meat) I live in Miami so I'll give it 8/10
In my country they only sell shin ramen and i like it but i thought there were some better ramen out there. This video proved me wrong. Guess ill stick to the sin ramyun
Can anyone tell me why people say milkis tastes sweet? All I can taste is sour, I'm not sure if it's maybe because of the brand, the one I tried came in a carton like milk.
