For me, Flans Mod is one of the most nostalgic gems in the world of Minecraft. Childhood memories come back when I remember the simplicity of the weapon models, which gave this mod a certain charm. It was something extremely arcadey and at the same time fascinating - planes, tanks, helicopters, all in one world. It was a mod, the first mod that added firearms. I remember spending hours discovering and customizing my favorite vehicles and weapons. I was then excited to experience shooting my newly acquired rifle for the first time or to experiment with different types of ammunition for my favorite weapon. Today, when we look at mods such as Vic's Modern Warfare, we will notice that they are much more accurate and realistic and the flans mod weapons look like toys compared to Vic modern warfare. However, despite this, I still feel fond of Flans Mod because of the special simplicity of the weapon models that gave it a unique charm. For me, it is an unforgettable piece of the history of my childhood.
Dunno if someone already said this but in TAC mod, you can equip both shield and pistol(mostly one handed models) and still being able to shoot/aim while raising the shield(sorta like a riot shield loadout) not sure if it's intentional by the mod authors since it doesn't work with Crayfish's gun mod but I've been running with that setup ever since
Personally, I prefer TaC guns due to the fact that the weapons' stats are highly configurable via winrar, you don't need specific types of mags for separate weapons, and every attachment has a purpose, unlike VMW where only the grips do nothing but recoil reduction. Close second is Modern Warfare Cubed, a fork of VMW by Paneedah.
Vic added more ores, materials, equipments & realistic and immersive gun crafting methods. However, TAC is still keeping update, didn’t falls too much and supports higher version
It pains me, time to go on a gun rant, THE RPK IS NOT AN AK-47, an AK-47 is a assault rifle, the RPK is a Light Machiengun or LMG, the M16A1, though it’s hard to differentiate (it’s not nvm) from an M4 it’s barrel is more larger than an M4s unless you where just listing the guns and the ones you pulled out was not the guns you where referencing, ahhhhh I need to touch grass
scorched guns is also incredibly underrated and i think fits really well into survival with something like the create mod cuz all the guns are original fantasy guns and look really cool
I personally use Expansive Weaponry for 1.12.2, you can get them in survival mode from what I recall. Similar in vein to Flan's with boxes you have to craft - we've used it in the past few modded servers I've set up. 1.12.2 also has a mod called something along the lines of 'Napoleonic Warfare' which adds muskets - including a rifled one which deals 250 damage I think? It's absolutely insane.
the best gun mod ever isn’t really a gun mod but an entire PvP mod pack, and it’s better than basically all the gun mods It’s Blockfront, I saw it and I couldn’t fucking believe it was Minecraft, I even played it, it’s incredible
Bren Guns or just Bren, My favorite gun mod. Guns are 2d but animations are absolutely spectacular.Don't forget to fire the guns and please try Bren Guns.(Bren is fabric gun mod)
Tech Guns: Pros- fits in with Minecraft aesthetic(the models), has fun mobs like the attack helicopter, a lot of content. Cons-too many recipes and it gets so confusing at times, no gun customisation Flans(you forgot about this classic): Pros- Content, works with very old versions of Minecraft. Cons-some models don’t look good Vic’s Modern Warfare: Pros-better Models than tech guns, customisation, millions of guns from different eras and realistic. Cons-my pc can’t handle it but I’ll try it again, mobs are a bit too op. Crafting Dead(1.16): Pros-mostly good models, more focuses on the guns, customisation Cons-some weapons are too blocky for my liking
i didnt watch the vid but everytime ive tried vics its beyond broken the game in modded, and is almost completely incompatible with literally any mod edit: i have watched the video fully now, i agree with your opinions, though alot of the gun mods feel very modded if that makes any sense, excluding guns and roses / guns without roses is not the perfect mix of vanilla and modded, and more full sending the vanilla style which makes it feel weird to use
its sad that you didnt spoke about techguns being the only mod that also adds gore, a lot of gore, probably the goriest minecraft mod i seen (and it just feels good to obliterate) also techguns mostly focuses on extra destructive guns and as you said its mostly trying to be more of a retro-shooter style instead of trying to replicate cod modern warfare
techguns gun play is meh compared to the others but overall techguns gameplay adds so much, clears them all so easily. I always get lots of nostalgia from playing with it when I was way younger and didn't even know its name. I only rediscovered it years later, definitely recommend.
Man, so many great gun mods, but no matter what my heart will always go to techguns. It's just such a large mod with so many features. Not only it adds guns but also mobs, structures and several accessories, shitton of materials and everything is packed with nice textures and animations. My only two problems with this mod is that it doesn't have it's own ways of generating power but since i only install techguns into industrial modpacks this problem solves itself and the second problem is that nether is impossible to survive in without tweaking the confifs with a constant onslaught of armed zombie pigmen and cyberdemons
as a big TaC follower i have great news! The mod is being ported to 1.18 through immense effort from the dev team and community which is awesome given 1.18 has basically no gun mods
Flan's mod its low poly guns that fit minecraft's style there are also vehicles although some gun models look goofy some doesnt work but overall is a pretty good mod a example of a server using this is Minecraft Breakdown.
There is one 1.16.5 mod you miste on your list, The mod is named GunsRPG and is an RPG like, Hardcore survival mod with guns, skills, a techtree and new mobs that makes your game way harder.
I actually use MrCrayFish Gun Mod because TaC is lagging because of the 3D model and animations. MrCrayFish Gun Mod is simple, has attachments and that's what I like.
i would use timeless and classic and vics modern warfare if they were updated to 1.19 cuz they are fun but also i ahve other mods that make fun in 1.19.2 but dont work in below. i am using now mrcrayfishes gun mod until they update the other guns mod. also still waiting for valkyrian skies mods to be updated

@DOPEMAN You know there is a mod hidden from everyone in 1.19 it's name is Blocfront. It's a very good mod and have multiplayer mode, an interface ect ... I recommend it to you
