Destroying the computer won't solve anything. The computer itself would help protect the drive from the "angry farmer" or the sledgehammer.

Inside the drive is a very powerful magnet. It is the best refrigerator magnet you will ever have. It is under the stylus arm.

When my dad worked for IBM, he would go to the customer sites that required all their old drives smashed to tiny pieces.

*Open a Dell PC like that by pressing both dark buttons on the sides, then lift up.* Don't open it with a sledge hammer. Next time, remove your hard disk the right way, and then *sell the PC without hard disk on* a site like *ebay*, unless you don't have any sensitive data. That's called *making money* off of old PCs.

lol. the easiest way is to just burn it. This video doesn't show anything! Start a fire, and just but the entire thing in. It will more than likely get hot enough to melt the solder and melt some other things.
