Don't know why the PDQ Antares 44 is not in there. Had my 2006 for, 8 years all over the world, never had 10% of the problems of other cruisers, 2 haulouts in 8 years , 1 when bought it and the other to repair damage from hitting something at night

I was at the La Grande Motte Boat Show and had the chance to be on a Privilege 510 Signature. Very expensive but probably the best you can get...Regards Buggy

Thanks for the Comment! I agree HH are awesome boats. Fast, good build quality and also at the leading edge of hybrid development. Cant wait to see when "Gone With The Wynns" launch their HH44OC around the middle of next year.

2-2-24. USA Per their RU-vid Channel the Wynns launched HH44OC (no dagger boards) and are on a standard HH shake down cruse. with several HH factory specialist/crew and their all headed to the Philippines. Based well done in-depth HH staff interviews and considerable on site video shot by the Wynns for every phase of the hi-bred production of HH44-hull #3 they are getting a well engineered piece of art. The knowledgable Nikki and Jason Wynns went over that vessel with find tooth comb prior to its launching and its a well navel arcitect designed carbon fiber blue water cruiser. I would bet on the HH if it was part of a comparison analyst to a magnificent Leopard. @@crazyaboutboats6901 @JRAMSKb8wTwd36bw

June 9, 2024. At this point in time the HH44OC with the huge lifting salon windows, hybrid power regeneration capability and carbon fiber hull has to be #1 of the Top 5. I'm influenced, having watched all the "Gone with the Wynns" video's of interviews with engineering, management and skilled artisans at the HH factory over a two years period as HH44OC, hull #3 was being fabricated (no dagger boards) for Jason and Nikki Wynn. HH gained it fame from building big world class carbon fiber racing cats for years and then they decided a couple of years ago to build a line of smaller Cats for the cruising community. What's clear is the carbon fiber technology transfer that happened. Apparently HH only knows how to build high tech boats one way and it's reflected in their beautifully engineered smaller cat versions. Then there's the matter of under way system accessibility, and repairability when you break something during a race. Everything was well thought out for the HH44OC. All electrical, engines and plumbing subsystems have ease of access with ample room for spares swap out. The boat wiring is a work of art with every circuit individuly labeled with indepenent circuits for each hybrid diesel engine that can generate battery power from the spinning props while under sail or use battery power to propel the vessel.

Good choices. I've just come across Portofino's and Gone With The Wynns recent videos on sailing a Kneel Trimaran have converted me from not like Trimarans very much. I've changed my mind.

All of these are not performance catamarans due to the weight. Lightweight is key for a performance catamaran to be called a performance catamaran

Definitely a quick boat but I thought they were a bit too much a stripped out racer which included tillers only and no wheel/helm and no interior lining just painted gel coat. But if you have a need for speed and your happy with these things them this is your boat.

@@crazyaboutboats6901 ORC 57 now has wheel/helm option and interior is definitely upgraded vis a vis ORC 50/42 . Together with the Dazcat and Gunboat cats , these are the only true performance cats . And no , Outremer does not cut it : an ORC 50 beat the new O55 by a massive 2.5 days in the last ARC 2022 rally

I would remove the rig. The days of sail ended with steam engines. But my choice would be the "Zen 50”. Zero. fossil fuel.

Thanks for your comment. Obviously sailing is not for you! There can be something satisfying about harnessing the wind to get you to your destination. A good sail can be satisfying in itself. But if you just want to get "there" then a power cat or electric cat seems to be for you. And obviously electric cats can be very environmentally friendly. Enjoy your day!
