A friend of mine had a pdf of some sheet music sent her. It appears that no-one else has done this song yet, and there appear to be only two known recordings (both 1928 by different singers), and I could find no other reference or performance anywhere on the internet.

The song was published in 1927, by James Kendis (who co-wrote "I'm forever blowing bubbles" with 2 others under the pseudonym Jaan Kenbrovin)
The sheet music has the following format: Verse 1, Chorus 1, Verse 2, Chorus 2. Then, on the next page, a further 12 choruses (no more verses) for you to pick from.
Since no-one else has done it, and I want this song to be brought back to life, I just played them all! There are a couple of minor fluffs in there, but more than 10 minutes of song... There are numerous historical and Baseball characters mentioned in the choruses.
The recordings above seem to pick V1, C1, V2, C9 (but changing the last 2 lines for something that doesn't appear on the original sheet).
