in iron, ppl can't aim so it doesnt really matter whether you crouch or not in radiant, ppl aim at head level so crouching will throw off their crosshair placement in those middle rank, it's a coin flip really, they might be aiming for the body and thus crouching make you dead to headshot, or they actually aim for the head and that's when you decide to not crouch
@@skyfeelan In iron and bronze people have bad crosshair placement and aim for the chest which will become your head when you crouch. For the middle ranks/high ranks you're absolutely right though.
@@skyfeelanIn Iron it's 60% super mega Uber Smurfs my friend... Iron lobbies are mostly waaaaay harder than bronze and silver... I'm silver, trust me, I know...
Alright here’s how we simplify this video: crouching at lower ranks isn’t very fun because lower ranks tend to already not be aiming at the head therefore crouching would Most likely help them. But with pro play everyone has so much experience that they instinctively aim at ur head so crouching would disrupt that instinct
Bro im like Silver, and crouching is the bane of my fucking existance, trynna practice xhair placement and this mfs always crouch when im abt to headshot them 😂
5:06 do note that TenZ uses Classic here: which a weapon known by the most RNG weapon known to man. Crouching ever so slightly reduce that first shot spread from 0.4 degree to 0.3 which is a needed boost of accuracy on that range.
As someone that had a bad habit of crouching in every gun fight when I started, the unbind trick is a great way to break that. Now I've gone too far the other way and I probably don't crouch enough
You’re better off without it. The way the games gunplay mechanics work, crouching isn’t entirely necessary. The second you crouch you’re fully committed to the gun fight so if you whiff or miss, it’s over.
I learned how to shoot relatively properly and I'm only now learning how to properly crouch spray after trying to learn the Phantom for a short time. Still not good at the Phantom but those skills transferred to the Vandal.
my friends that only played val say that crouching is bad and that i should stop doing that but im so used to doing it cause im a CS player but thank you for clearing this topic up
yeah the thing is that Valorant's gun mechanics are not the same as CS does. i think CS feels better in terms of the gunplay itself since i played hours on end on both games
@@yououttapocket Yeah, the most annoying thing is to not lower the crosshair like the ak-47 with the vandal, i only shoot in feets until i correct this habit xD
@@yououttapocketyes and no. The biggest thing is commitment really. If you shoot and crouch instantly and miss or whiff. You’re essentially a sitting duck and dead and with Valorant’s gunplay that involves a lot of tapping/bursting and strafing between shots. Not ideal but it is annoying when you get tagged and then have the movement speed of a snail. This same issue also happens in CS though. You don’t want to crouch the second you shoot all the time which is the problem people tend to develop as a bad habit in both games. You are right though about CS having a consistent spray pattern that you can actually control. As where in Valorant we all know the pattern is RNG. I just think with the gun play with Valorant the best and most consistent way to play is tap and bursts with strafes in between if you don’t kill them instantly. Spraying and crouching is best for close range.
By the time you hit Plat/Diamond the mil seconds you can take for advantage crouching after the first couple bullets is so crucial Everyone in these ranks has pretty much great crosshair placement so crouching to dodge the headshot is very crucial and works on pistol rounds a lot to
FWIW unbinding crouch for a day did help me not crouch on EVERY SINGLE FIGHT. Then I was able to build up proper movement. Now I should probably relearn crouching when it's good, though I've really liked being more mobile in fights
As pros earlier said or claimed that unbinding crouch did help them from 20% hs to 100% hs, the silver-plat lobbies catch it the earliest, now that they've unbinded crouch they also dont have a very good crosshair placement as well as one taps, and mostly spray around which is so ridiculous if ur standing and spraying but thats what they heard in a yt video of a pro
if you play at a high elo you'll notice a lot of players have memorized the crosshair placemetn which makes contesting common angles basically impossible without util so crouch or jumping is the only counter.
all i can say is would u rather go in raw or with protection, here is the same it’s a preference, crouching to be safer cause i’m higher ranks they always pre aim for your head
Dont just unbind crouch. Unbind it, then bind it to drop or your melee. Your brain fairly quickly associates crouching with loosing 1v1s in a week or so. Then you just learn how to spray control and aim without crouch. (If you want to get rid of bad habits)
I would argue that crouching when holding commen angles isnt always bad especially if your only holding for first contact and than back up while playing an angle that often get prefired
There's a difference between crouch spraying, and crouching to control spray. Low elo players will crouch and hold shoot and the issue arises of it being difficult to control compared to standing and tapping. Prod know the spray pattern of guns very well and use the extra precision of crouching to control that spray to make sure shots hit.
I put my binding key for crouching to V, and still manage to crouch and even move during fights lol, i tried to put it to "?" but still reached it, by unbinding i don't do immediate crouch and do it when i want to now
I have tried not crouching and doing movement but honestly. And after alot of experimenting. I can honestly tell you that it crouching is perfectly fine but there are some ways it can be very bad. Alot of people start crouch spraying when they panic. Now this is not a crouching issue but rather panic issue. Dont panic. Focus of first bullet accuracy.
It’s really easy to understand, idk why it’s so hard to understand. You’re just taking advantage of better results by using certain mechanics for better outcomes.
since valorant came to console i’ve been trying so hard to fall out of the habit of crouch spamming (I play claw so my finger is always on the B button) I crouch spray and have always been in most shooter games that require mobility like overwatch and call of duty , i’m diamond 3 rn in val but i know once i get out of the habit of spam crouching and just understand more aim mechanics i’m gonna be crazy
The new placements somehow put me silver but im already climbed up to almost gold. DO NOT TRY TO CROUCH IN SILVER LOBBIES THEY ALREADY AIM AT YOUR TORSO
I think its because of the crosshair placement... since in the higher ranks players tend to aim for the headshot when camping a corner therefore crouching might seem unexpected for the camper.
Crouching can actually be beneficial for holding an angle sometimes, it kinda makes it an off angle because they dont expect you crouching, this is very situational tho.
honestly, im confused. the reason why people are saying that crouching is bad in the first place is because it does not affect recoil at all unlike in cs, but this video says the it actually does... i've always believed since episode 1 that crouching does not really do anything. (however, i crouch A LOT because i came from csgo and it got me to immortal, and i only crouch because i believed that the main purpose of it is to throw people off ++ ive got used to crouching because of csgo)
Note before watching the vid: I assume it's gotta do with the low rank players crouching out of "fear" and not having controlled aim, learning to do that in the mid ranks and having the control to use crouch effectivly in the higher ranks as a method of stable aim/movement to throw off enemies
everyone needs to watch this video. I hear so often "well pro players crouch all the time" and its like, well yeah but thats because they know how to do it correctly. I didnt crouch at all from iron to plat because i was told it was bad, so i started trying to learn how to incorporate crouching effectively in my movement (still working on this xd) I've hit ascendant since >:D
TLDR: pros crouch successfully cuz they time it well and they don't stay in it forever (plus they often play lan). everyone else uses it as a panic strat when they could've just used good movement.
For me if you playing low rank, crouch is bad because most of opps aim are body centered, while playing high rank like plat or above, crouch is good since everyone like to popping heads
@@squi9910 well yeah, but at those rank you will realize some people actually has good head-accurate aim, mostly cuz they just a FPS veteran but still learning the games sense
I was iron 2 and fell to iron 1 cuz 1-i didn't know crouch spray 2-i rush as cypher (sentinel) 3-i only played sage and cypher without knowing lineups or how to use utilities 4-i should be a duelist main since i just rush and rush (And the bad aim) To become a little better i did 1-change to Reyna since it's buff just released so why not 2- tried to learn crunching, i never had problems with crouch 3-made my aim bettet(just playing) But i still dont really know hoe to use all the power of the utilities of reyna
What you said at the end of the video actually happened to me tho, I always crouch sprayed and as soon as i unbinded I just instantly knew not to do it ig. Sounds crazy but its true/\.
Bro I'm trying so hard to get my dream rank!! It has been so difficult to get it, every time I play we win couple lose some but I just can't get there. Bring me back to Iron!!!
How about for counter strafing? Guides show that we need to learn that as a fundamental. But then when you see pros like Demon1 who does not counter strafe
You should only crouch ascendant and above The reality is that a lot of players don't hit instant headshots so they hit a body shot but since you are crouched, they hit your head. Unless in a 1v1 to throw off crosshair placement, avoid crouching
I think most dia players do have good head level aim and half of platinum. Your second statement can be applicable to gold below. We cannot really tell that all of the Dia-plat cannot land a clean headshots.
Iron to diamond is the same elo....people will be full of copium but that's the true. The only difference is slight better aim and game sense. When you are in ascendant, that's when you are fighting to get in top 500 of region and playing much better not only together but as a individual, thinking about the round as a whole.
I don't see why iron - dia is the same elo... Explain further. Anyway, if you fight those two different ranks, there's a great difference with their aim and how they fight obviously. Idk what region you are rn but in my region Dia are just tapping heads often times, the only reason why theyre not ranking up is due to unreasonable utility usage, team coordination, etc. I mean we are talking solely about the aim, not the overall game performance of these brackets
@@aurextia There is hardly any coordinate teamplay, at all. Everyone ego peeks every angle and plays the game wrong. The only difference is slight increases in aim and/or game sense. That's it.
I am gold - plat AND people arent aware of aiming for the head in low elo , THUS I CROUCH -> I set my head in the line of fire -> cause they were already aimingfor my body
Some people keep saying don't crouch and movement is the key. Even coaches say this, but I've been doubting this ever since I'm seeing pros crouching in their pro matches. I mean, sure. Movement is necessary, but crouching is still acceptable. Just don't over use it.
Honestly I wouldn't crouch or crouch spray until you are atleast imortal. You need to have fast aim, focus, and angle holding knowledge. When people try to crouch spray me in tdm or dm and i see there under asc i just one tap them cuz honestly its much better to tap
Imo its actually bad to crouch on low ranks because people at these ranks dont preaim/prefire at your head. Instead, they aim at your body, and when you crouch - you make it easier for them to accidentally 1 tap you. I, personally, completely stopped crouching and ranked up from plat2 to ascendant1 in one act.
not really sure what to do because I 100% of the time crouch and get instant 1 shot. I would be lucky to get a shot off let alone have the chance to try a spray transfer.
