What's the deal with fancy binoculars? 

200mm is coming next!

Our premium optics kit for Heart uses diagonal mirrors guaranteed 1/4 wave P/V or better with dielectric coatings and lenses with BBAR coating >99.5% transmission. Not familiar with what Kunming puts on SkyRover/APM/etc. models. (Those brands don't specify on their own sites.) We have a design for an aspheric f/5 cemented doublet using fk-61 with a center spot strehl of .85 but they would be fairly expensive to produce. If we did something like that it would be on a group buy model rather than a standard option. In general we're more interested in growing the stargazing/amateur astronomy community than providing premium optics to an incredibly select group of optics enthusiasts, so that's our focus. There are a lot of 72mm f/6 ED lenses floating around out there that could be used. The Tak/Tec/A-P/etc. owners who have looked through Heart were more than satisfied with the low-medium power views at star parties. As always, we welcome comparisons to any commercial binocular offering at any price for the purpose of enjoying a night under the stars.

@@AnalogSky Thanks for coming back to me! If the FK-61 doublet went ahead id let my 70mm binocular telescope go in favour of a Heart kit. Il keep an eye out for updates
