For whatever strange reason, whoever produces/edits the audio for the podcast is putting HARD de-esser processing on the last many episodes, maybe since homeless pimp left? If you pay attention to whenever there is sibilance (hissing type sounds), they're almost completely squashed out making it sound like lisps. I have no idea how there aren't more comments about this. I kind of got used to it at this point but it is very unusual and doesn't seem to make sense unless it's some kind of running inside joke. 🤷
