In this video we compare the Coolzy-Go against the Coolzy-Pro. We help viewers better understand the two models and in doing so, help them choose the best one for their needs.
Summary
- The Coolzy-Pro is lighter, quieter and has a remote control to choose from three fan speeds and also to set the thermostat temperature. Also it comes with the 'Focus Enhancer' pre-installed.
- The Coolzy-Go is our budget model. It is a simple machine with no remote to misplace. It has exactly the same cooling capacity.

I just got the Pro and love it. Apart from heaving many great features, what did seal the deal for me was a tent - Igloo Bed. Thank you. PS: Delivery was super fast, I was happily surprised.

Im thinking about putting the go unit into a camper setup and running it from either a 12v system or a generator; can you please tell me how many watts I'd need to cover?
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom Год назад
The unit consumes around 340W of power in average summer weather condition, it will consume more in every hot or very humid climate. We recommend you use 1500w inverter or above to make sure the compressor can start every time while have sufficient capacity left over for your other appliances. For 12v battery system, it drains 340W / 12v = 28.3A current on average, so make sure your leads can run at this current for long time without overheating. 120Ah / 28.3 =4.2h. A typical 120Ah deep cycle lithium battery can run the unit for close to 4 hours. Heavily dependent on the weather. Use coolzy igloo tent can significantly increase the cooling effect, or set up your bedding area using the same principle: use wind proof fabric to contain the cool air so the cool air is cooling you, the user, not the walls and ceilings of the room. A 2200w generator is more than sufficient for running a coolzy unit.

This is an interesting unit. I drive commercial trucks and tow a small ford fiesta that I also sleep in from time to time. Obviously in 90f + temps where i travel in the US my options are to put the windows down, or to run the car all night. Neither are great options. What do you think about Running one of these in a car with a portable power station ? How big of a portable power station do you think would be needed to run this for 6-8 hours at a time ?

Hi, great question :) we made a video showing our unit running on a 12v battery using an inverter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mUBMumrB_Tg.html The application you're talking about is actually pretty popular in Australia. Our long haul truckers use Coolzy's to keep the cab warm as it can often get to around 100 degrees F in our deserts. Just FYI, in the USA we ship our units from Salt Lake City Utah.

Sir. The manual book written, we should open the stopper to let the water flow. My question Is, this stopper should be removed permanently or should we attach it again? When Will we remove it, and when Will we attact it . When we operate the machine, we should remove or should attach position?
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom 29 дней назад
If you choose to remove the stopper to allow the unit to operate as a dehumidifier, you will need to empty the drawer approx. every 4-5 hours. The stopper can be replaced at any time. The unit operates more efficiently as a cooler when the stopper is in place as we use the extracted water to help with heat exchange.

the coolzy pro that I am currently using at night the compressor often stops working, why?
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom 7 месяцев назад
the compressor will turn On and Off according to the temperature that is set using the remote. If the temperature is set to 22c and the machine senses that temp via the thermostat, the machine will turn off the compressor. Another reason the compressor might turn off, is if it is overheating. This only happens in very rare circumstances (extreme heat and restricted airflow for the air intake). If you like, send a video of the issue to contact@coolzy.com and we'll be able to diagnose.

@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom Год назад
Very cool idea! we're always working to innovate and optimize. So far, the Coolzy is packed pretty tight with all of the technology required for cooling. The hard part about going smaller is the size of the condenser and evaporator. You need them large enough to pass a reasonable amount of air through. They also have to be large enough to allow the refrigerant gas to expand enough to remove the energy from the air. It's a tricky balancing act!
@randomdigress
@randomdigress Год назад
@@Coolzycom Thanks for replying, I mean at that size, if it is able to dish out ~500-1000 BTU of cooling, I would imagine many glampers in hotter humid areas would want it
@bonobonorman9658
@bonobonorman9658 Год назад
This is NOT really an air-conditioner, by its design in is a dehumidifier. Where is the collection tank for generated condensation water and how many litres does it store? When full, does Coolzy stop? .
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom Год назад
Hi Bonobo, a Coolzy uses R290 refrigerant gas which is compressed and run through a heat-exchanger. This creates a cool surface that air is sucked through and subsequently cooled. The cool air is expelled to the user. If any condensation forms there are two condensation reservoirs. The first catches the water and reuses it to improve the cooling of the heat-exchanger. If this gets too full, it overflows to a second water catcher. this is much large and can be emptied by removing it from the rear of the machine. We've only ever seen this fill up in extremely humid conditions in Cairns. If it does get too full, the machine has a safety switch that turns on and the whole unit stops operating while it waits for the water to be emptied. Again, this is extremely rare.
