I've been thinking about these two for days. I might finally pull the trigger for the 12 pro. I've used both for a week or so and found out that the max is a huge chunk, almost impossible to use with one hand and I was wondering if its worth sacrificing for the camera spec. Thanks for the video. Edit: I've seen other tests and you need to pixel peep to see the less noise of the max. Sometimes the difference are quite visible but if I just post on social media I dont think it matters right
Thanks for dropping us a comment. We did pixel peep in our samples, where there was noise both were equally noisy, in our examples at least. But that low light video is certainly something special. I was expecting Sensor-shift to be better than OIS, but apparently there is no difference. Hope you will be happy with your new iPhone.
well this is just unexpectedly a great news for me and people who prefer smaller phone, i thought the bigger sensor would bring much differences but it’s apparently isn’t, hope apple doesn’t make the same decision next year so i would more comfortably choose to upgrade from 11 pro to 13 pro 🤞🏼
Yea from 11 pro to 12 pro, there’s not much in it except for low light video. But if anyone is thinking about getting the smaller 12 pro, but is worried about missing out on features? They can now know there’s not much in it. Thanks for watching. For me Hopefully there’ll be an iPhone Pro Mini. 🤞
Great comparison and wonderful summary! I won’t feel bad now getting iPhone 12 Pro with 256Gb storage which price is just same amount with iPhone 12 Pro Max 128Gb.
@@JeremyToh Haha! This is not just useful for travelings. I bought it for holiday gatherings. My mother is now an elderly who forgets events in a day or two. A nice mobile phone camera with good storage would help her remember the days that’s passed. 😉

Great video! I got my 12 pro max a couple of days ago and my son got a 12 pro. Both phones are great. We did some comparison shots and really couldn't tell the difference. You cant go wrong either way I just prefer larger phones. BTW this is my first iPhone ever and I'm very impressed with it

I own the I-Phone 12 Pro Max used, very satisfied, I am Not a expert on iPhones, 72 years old, Not a Technical phone or Camera person, I was a Android phone owner, my family were all Apple iPhone, so I switched, and still learning about this iPhone!
As a photographer I like the look of the 65mm telephoto lens, it offers very nice subtle bokeh by default and allows better reach. But for everyday users I would recommend the regular IPhone pro because the 52mm lens is better suited for everyday close portraits and kids close ups. Also it is less prone to flare than the pro max (the lenses reach out more and are more prone to flare)
12 pro focuses better than the max on close photos. There is a difference in stabilization and portraits in low light. If you struggle deciding I suggest you watch more reviews. The fact there are differences regardless of how small for only $100 price difference is worth it given you used to buy xs max and 11 pro max and they were exactly same as their smaller versions and only different in sizes, it’s better buy than used to be
Thanks for sharing thoughts. We just had a viewer comment that the iPhone 12 Pro Max focuses better in close up than the 12 Pro. But in all honesty, during our test period we found no issues with auto focus, they both LIDAR to help them focus. We do respect that your findings and thanks for sharing. When both phones got released last year I was seeing all the reviews and it turned out that the iPhone 12 Pro had a much superior camera quality than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I come back today, months later, and I am seeing all these youtube reviews that are saying that the iPhone 12 Pro Max is better. But how, if at first they the pictures taken on the iPhone 12 Pro Max since its launch were of less quality than the iPhone 12 Pro?

@@JeremyToh I think the iphone 12 PM has a problem with the minimum focus distance. I don’t know if this is solved in software upgrade or is it a hardware problem due to a larger sensor.

With introduction of proraw there is infact an difference between the pro and pro max. Pro max has less noise in the photo which translate to more editing capabilities post processing.
I love my 12 pro max! The batt easily lasts one full day with 50% left even with several pic taking! The cameras at night especially are insane! I think it’s worth the small extra over the 12 pro. Although 12 pro max is a very big phone to handle😂 but worth it for the much longer batt (12 pro I’m guessing I def need to charge it every night whereas pro max I’ll have 50% left and so it could still last almost another entire day which is insane!)
Congratulations on your new iPhone 12 Pro Max. It's an excellent phone with top of the line camera specs. People become nostalgic when they see the iPhone 12 Pro or even the iPhone 12 Mini. I know i did, but then i remembered the days when we travelled and had to constantly charge my iPhone X or have anxiety whenever the battery is below 20%. It's probably because of COVID and the lockdown, everyone is mostly at home, people forget why having a larger battery is crucial. Hope you enjoy your new camera! Stay safe. ✌️
I think I phone 12 pro is best from I phone 12 pro max.bcz I phone 12 pro is handling easy from I phone 12 pro max. Just battery backup is main issue. Camera almost same.
