Lots of honor students ruin their lives with drugs because no one is willing to believe an honor student would do something like that. The pressure of perfection is a hell of a thing.
Facts lmao. One of my old homies from highschool wouldnt even skip class bc he had such strict parents but once he went off to a big university he was arrested twice😂 he got married last year, phenomenal job and just bought a house so he made it out fine and im super happy for him
If you’re sweating, you should actually do that because any sweating will make you lose heat MUCH faster. In a survival situation, you’re best off slightly nippy.
Imo trying to get off a medication is actually a good decision as long as you stay open to reusing it if you realize that it isn't working without medication. So I guess it depends on the circumstances
@@janekmundt579 your opinion is wrong. Bipolar disorder isn't something you can control on your own, it *requires* medication and constant psychiatric treatment. People with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia suffer from something called anosognosia which prevents them from understanding the severity of their illness.
I don't even drink and at every high school reunion I'm by far the youngest-looking person there. "What's your SEEEEECRET?" my classmates shriek, stumbling around with their wine glasses.
I have codeine listed as one of my medical allergies. Not because I am actually allergic to it, but because I was born addicted to it and I really don't want to deal with an addiction again.
@@Julesb2183 Except Swedish journalists investigating and finding out the story was at least partly fictional. But hey, if you don't care, that's fine by me.
History of drug use in your family should be taken seriously, it's not a guarantee you're going to end up addicted, but it does make you more susceptible.
Yup can confirm. Once you're broken you lose all your friends. I wrecked a car and now I'm a t12 paraplegic (waist down. Could be worse I guess.) But I've lost everything and everyone. Nobody wants you when you're broken.
I can also confirm. I never worked to begin with, always been crippled. Never have gotten a date, most of my friends leave when they realize the effort it takes to be my friend
However I would like to state the opposite and say I am attending college and getting a degree, learning to be the person who wants to stick around for myself
If people leave you because you're in a wheelchair they're not real friends. You're better off without people who treat you like that. Hang in there, lots of people are rooting for you
one of my closest friends in high school (70s alabama), huge dude, great athlete, had a full ride scholarship to ohio state to play football. he and some friends got drunk on home brew, broke into the school to rob the coke machines, got caught, lost scholarship, wound up staying wasted on alcohol/drugs, died young from liver failure.
Never did meth, but I did go through a phase in my life where I was doing a lot of drugs. Started with pot, progressed to adderall, coke, percs and pills, then finally H. Went from graduating at the top of my class, full of prospects for a future career, to being a piece of shit who only cared about the next high. Almost two years clean now and I’m never going back, but it took its toll for sure. Even after being clean for this long, that phase in my life caused lasting negative impacts like cognitive impairment, memory problems, regular urges to go back to drugs, and not to mention lost time. Other people said it before me, but for real, don’t do drugs kids.
Yep. Meth is one messed up drug, you definitely don't want to associate with users of meth. Good friend of mine was always able to manipulate me in some way until we reconnected after a couple of years of not talking for whatever reason, told me she uses meth now, lives with her dad (in an old-age home) and if she isn't there then she's homeless. She's now homeless, had a kid who was taken away and put into the adoption system, etc. Worst part? She doesn't think she's done anything wrong nor does she think she has a problem and says she can stop whenever she wants, and even use "just a little bit" and still function and work... she hasn't worked in like 2-3 years... NEVER NEVER NEVER associate with people on meth. 90% of users are gone and will never get sober.
A dude punched a teacher from vocational school on the graduation party. He broke his glasses and one glass made its way between eye and skull almost blinding him on that side. Word spread like a wildfire, soon that dudes name and action was known by all vocational teachers that happen to basically know all important employers. That dude will never find/get a job in his profession because of what he did.
One of my little sisters best friends decided she was sober enough to drive home after a night out with my sister and two other friends. She crashed the car on the highway and killed one of the girls in the car and damaged my sister for life (her left leg doesn't function as it should and her short term memory is horrible now and she will likely have chronic pains for the rest of her life). Court is in a couple of months and she will most likely serve time and have to pay a huge sum of money to my sister for damages. The girl who drove the car and the girl that died both had plans of becoming doctors, that's most likely never going to happen with debt you can never pay off and manslaughter on her criminal record.
Guy is 21 years old girl is 15 yrs old she stalks him. Makes a move on him. He rejected her . She walks and tells cops she was held hostage for 4 days and raped multiple times. No dna evidence. No proof crime was committed she lied boy gets 16 yrs in TDC
I knew this dude who was a ex drug addict well he cleaned up got a job working with me and me being his manager , me knowing his problem I didn’t put to much on him if things at work would get to hard I would tell him to go take a breather and I’d help get him ahead , well after 2 years he got into his daughters life his daughter was getting married towards the end of the year had plans to be in the wedding he was helping his daughter pay for the wedding was making good money while living in a sober home , well he saved up enough money and went out and put money down on a condo and thought he could go out and have a single beer one single beer that was it so he had a beer and he calls In the next day saying he can’t make it in he was ran over and for two weeks wouldn’t show up for work , well me caring for the guy I would fix his time so it would show he was there , well you can only do that so many times well after 2 months of not showing up I call him and tell him to come in or he’s gonna get let go so he says go ahead he don’t care fire him , well last I heard he’s back in recovery and his daughter don’t want him around anymore and the great woman he met while working and getting the condo left him and he still tries to prove to her he changed can she give him one more chance and she don’t want anything to do with him ..
I can’t imagine how AWFUL the woman who hit the other woman must have felt. I’d probably react the same way if I accidentally hit and killed someone. I can’t imagine living with that guilt. I feel incredibly sorry for both women in that story
12:50 My dad had a similar thing happen to him but he was smart. He got the offered letter everything was good to go for his new job, they said he got it, come to work on Monday they said "lol no job for you." That place gave him the job and took it back and said no job for you after everything was setlled, like who does that. Anyway he talked to his old job but since he didn't burn bridges to leave last job they just said that he took a vaction and he went back to work on his old job. I don't remember what company he was told he got the job but then doesn't was but they are dead to me.
It happened to a group of them. We went to college together. I tried to get an education, they turned to parties, weed and fucking anything with a pulse. Even the geeks were seduced to that life. Needless to say, they flunked out, got dead end jobs, some had kids too young (I.e. no way to support themselves) and I get the deliciously spiteful gift of laughing at them. They were horrible friends, abandoned me when I needed them most when I'd been there for them for years... It's the only time karma played in my favour and it's practically orgasmic. I could've helped. I could've done something cos I'm a good friend. Found you a job, got you help, kept you clean, whatever because I used to care for you. But now, I get to watch you suffer like I suffered. And it. Is. Divine.
I know this guy who worked at park on a school work program. There a loser crowd of hikers, and granola interacting with the other regulars at the park. One guy calls himself Thor. He had a Thor belt buckle, and long blond hair. The Thor guy was there for a while, before he figured out he was good looking. People called him Thor, and it went to his head. He jumped into that Thor thing. Most of the woman who are into that Granola, and hiking thing are okay, but not supper hot. A few year hiking in the sun adds wrinkles fast. Thor became popular, and got around. I never knew if the woman didn't know, are just didn't care. Under age girls creeped out of tents to be with Thor. Golden raisens met him in secluded spots. Thor was popular. One girl who knew him in high school said, he was a tall nerd who's father made him lift weights. He was still a tall nerd, but he just caught fire with the the woman at the park. He was sleeping multiple women everyday, and they didn't seem to care, or didn't know. It was crazy, you would have a girl friend, and your friends said, "She with Thor, at his place (tent), and you would run there, and your girl friend came out of the tent. Most of the time, Thor never used a tent. We had this event at night, and multiple bon fires. Thor would walk around each fire, and chat up some girl, or woman, they would go out to the sand. It was crazy. One day, everyone is at this cliff, with a river below. There was a section where you could jump, but not at this point we were all standing at. All of us guys are saying, "Nope, not today, not ever." One girl said, "Thor could do it." Then the other girl started repeating it. "Thor can do it, Thor can do it, Thor can do it." Up until than, Thor was getting a lot of play, lady wise, but the guy was still nerd. One girl went and got Thor." Thor came up, and they explain what we were to afraid to jump, but they all knew he could do it. There was a small crowd of woman chanting, "Thor, Thor, Thor." Thor went up to the cliff, and looked down. For a moment, he looked frighted, but then the Thor chant started. I kind of believed all the Thor stuff, until Thor did this a lame pose. All of us guys gasped, because he looked so awkward. It was like you knew the nerd was going to jump to death. Then he jumped, and the woman cheered. Halfway, Thor hit the side of the cliff. Thor almost evened out, and landed flat, which might have save him, but he land chest first. All the woman cheered at the splash, but soon Thor was seen floating down river like a dead fish. Thor wasn't dead. The people running out to Thor, stood in water thigh deep. Thor broke his neck, and was quad. Most of the golden raisins took it hard. They thought they had something with him. Some said, "I'm glade I didn't marry him." Which was a odd thought for a guy you just slept with.
Former coworker who was a bit of a "safety? Pffff" type was working on the roof of his house when the poorly made scaffolding collapsed under him. He fell about 5 metres down and a wooden spike pierced his spine. Spent 3-4 months in the hospital and refused to believe doctors when they told him he will never be able to walk again. He is now paralyzed from the chest down and a depressed, raging alcoholic.
Happy kid, happy teen, happy 20's, tried drugs, not so happy late 20's, used harder drugs, miserable 30th, stayed the course, mid 30's, lost everything, got clean, stayed clean, AM clean, had daughter, great job, still clean, happy again.
True story...I have a family member who was making 180k per year as a computer programmer. He all of the sudden decided he was bored with his job, started selling drugs on a dark web site called the Silk Road. He made over a million dollars in 9 months on the site until he got arrested for mailing drugs from the postal service. He spent almost 4 years in prison, and once he was off probation ended up using drugs again. He is now broke and living in his car. I can prove what I say. Just google "Nod Silk Road" if you want the whole story...
Well, only three things come from enlisting: 1) You die. 2) You suffer trauma (physical or otherwise) or 3) You get out of it alive but society has no use for you so you're tossed aside. So I can see how you got screwed over... Being military used to mean something. :/
@@WolfyFancyLads It wasn't any of that, really. It was just a waste of six years of my life, six years of constant aggravation and having to deal with the petty whims of my superiors, rampant favoritism, and stupid rituals, and the 'technical training' I got wasn't worth spit in the real world. My parents were proud that I'd signed on to 'defend the country'. I didn't have the heart to tell them that we weren't defending anything, because the biggest enemies of our nation were its leaders - the very people we had to take orders from and answer to. The only things the military REALLY defends are the business interests of the wealthy. Had I remained in the private sector, I'd have had a far better start in an actual career. The only thing I got from the servic was a piece of paper saying I served. La dee dah.
@@blixten2928 Some military fields translate to the real world. Medical and nuclear engineering are two big examples. But I went in for an electronics field, and the basic program taught us how to read a book. Seriously. that's it. You have a piece of equipment, it comes with a thick heavy book that basically details how to troubleshoot and repair it. A sixth grader could do it. Most of what I would have done was pull and replace entire circuit boards. Oh, there was some theory and schematics reading, that sort of thing, but not quite a real 'electronics' program. The worst part was, by the time I completed this training, the rate servicewide was manned 130 percent. Meaning they had 13 candidates for every ten billets. Almost zero chance of dong the job I was trained to do, and even less chance for promotion. So, to be 'useful', they put me to work fueling aircraft. And when we weren't doing that, time to strip and repaint shit, or try to squeeze another month of life out of some antiquated piece of equipment left over from WWII. Never got NEAR the rate I had trained for. I *WISH* I was kidding. They conned me into extending my hitch from 4 to 6 years, promising me a different duty station. The ink of my signature wasn't even dry when they withdrew that offer and I was stuck another two years in the same duty station, doing the same shit, and oooh, I had another stripe on my arm. Yeah, the military really can just do pretty much whatever they want with you once you sign on the line. And this doesn't even TOUCH the matters of dealing with the usual military bullshit. After my extension was up, the retention officer tried to get me to sign for another hitch. "I would have to be completely out of my f__king mind, sir."
At around 19:10, This is why you never do, or promise anything for a woman. You should Promise and DO everything for you until all of a vaj in the world (eventually a woman, possibly) fall on your lap.
Prescription meds. “Take only as directed” means something people. You have no one to blame but yourselves if you get addicted. I’ve taken opiates for pain and followed instructions. Even the verbal recommendation from my doctor to only take it if I absolutely could not take the pain. I followed instructions to the letter. No problems. Even my doctors say if people would actual follow instructions we would not have the issues we have today and that’s absolutely true. But we live in a world where people are not held accountable for their actions. It’s always someone else’s fault.
16:26 "Make that five lives, as the brother who put him in the taxi doesn't have his brother and best friend anymore, lives with the guilt of being the indirect cause of all this and is pretty much disowned by their mother, who clearly preferred her brother over him."
My god, the one about the car accident at the intersection is so tragic, it reminds me of road safety ads here in Ireland. It will forever stay with me that story. Anyone from Ireland will most likely know the toad safety ad that it reminds me of and if you don’t, be glad be very glad
In Sweden, at least, Drivers' Ed includes hours of films showing, interviewing, and discussing the lives of people who were handicapped, or who handicapped or killed others, while drunk driving. Makes an impression, when you are told, for instance, that one of the latter had subsequently committed suicide.
The kid who burned his hand in the fryer likely turned out alright. He likely got well paid after the incident. We had to train people on the deep fryers intensely where I worked. He might have been a dumbass but if they didn’t train him properly they probability paid for it.
Just because you don't need it doesn't mean people don't want to go. I know a business owner/chef who went to uni and then culinary school, even though you don't need to just to open your own place up

Opiate addict here. It took me 6 months of using a needle to me losing an analytical chemistry job working in a lab at a steel mill and becoming homeless. Heroin is rough guys.
My dad knew a guy who was on his way to becoming a cricket superstar and then he started drinking smoking and at one point he was smoking 30 a day and now in his 50s he can barely talk and breathe them he got bitten by a cat and got tetanus. He is on the brink of death now.
A teenager was standing in the back of an pickup truck going 5 mph and it hit an bump and he fell out and his brains was all over the road. His Best friend who he was going to open an mechanic shop with was the driver. And the worst part was his dad was the local coroner and the ambulance driver who showed up on the scene. Needless to say after declareing his own son Dead. Everyone let the law be broken and helped him scrape his son of the road and load him into the ambulance. And they didn't allow his to drive the ambulance even though he was legally required to do so. It was a bad day for everyone.
Mauve Mouse - I work as a nurse with addiction recovery and asked that very question many times over with varying people. Here are some answers: - "When you're on H and life is collapsing anyway, why would I care and it gave me a new escape with its high". - "H made me tired all the time and M was so I could function with energy. " The most popular answer by far is - "I couldn't get high from H any more, just needed it to feel halfway normal and M suddenly provided that high again". Don't do either.
18-year-old kid first day on the job. Ran up a rolling ladder, somehow knocking it over when he was on the top. Fell onto a grating. Didn't survive. What a waste
I'm going through this right now. Had a suicidal breakdown my first semester of college which lead me to failing two classes so I'm on academic probation so I lost my job and housing offer for the summer and I came out as trans to my parents so they cut me off.
I knew a guy from grammar school who was a sweet guy and I talked to him via AIM when we finished our 6th year (senior year). Over the 2 1/2 to 3 years since we left school, he started to be an asshole to me, wanted me to be online all the time (this was just before and after smartphones became a thing) and threaten to go to my job. I reported him to the cops and blocked him online and changed my number. A few years later, I found out through a relative that he was arrested and was put into prison for having a shit ton of underaged boys.
Stopping your brain meds because you're better is like stopping your other meds when you're unwell, but you think you're better. Only stop medications if the doctor says so. If my doc ever stopped my medicine I'd get checked out at the hospital and would try to go back on it. I want to be comfortable for my whole life, thank you.
Cousin of mine brought a pocket knife to school, showed it off to his friends and he gets expelled. Ruined his school experience but he straightened up
2:07 Sadly, this happens too often. Even up to the Governments. 10 years ago: We put up air quality sensor control speed restrictions to combat air pollution when necessary Today: We dont need these sensor controlled speed restrictions anymore since the air has not exceeded the dangerous levels anymore.
1:43 As soon as they mentioned bipolar disorder I knew where this was going. I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder it truly is a hectic rollercoaster but without medication we truly don’t function. It’s like all the progress I’ve made is immediately erased and I go back to square one. It sucks.
story from my own family: my big brother managed to break the door safety as a small boy and drowned. well he got ressusitated but is now heavily handicapped. and for anyone who wonders how hes doin: he actually moved out on his own will a few years ago and with the right help can enjoy things like theme park rides. hard to handle at times but a great sport to hang around with and, if you know what you are doing and how to talk to him even quite well in communicating for someone who mostly grunts.
If you are on medications and you feel fine, DO NO STOP. This is a sign they are working. Close family member spent 9 years dying and disintegrating from dementia because stopped her blood pressure medication because she "feelt just fine." She lived alone, told no one., just thought she had slipped and fell , I watcher he for from being the smartest, bravest person I have even known to a complete toddler. I had to tell him that I was fine and that the soucl move on if she had had enough and saw a brighter way ahead and did she see (names of numerous friends?" He nodded and said a name. She passed about 10 minute later, I was holding her hadn. It's the biggest lie I have ever told in my life. This was three years ago and I still pick up the phone to call her sometimes. Seriously, take your meds.
Dude I knew assaulted several women, brought an imitation gun, few other weapons, threatened people with said weapons, resisted arrest and ran away while driving recklessly. Not sure how long he got or if his bail was posted as news coverage on the matter was extremely limited and only talked about the arrest and why.
I am VERRRRRRY LUCKY...I am a recovering HARDCORE alcoholic. I would put down a 750ml bottle of vodka a day with a 6 pack of Bud as a chaser. I went to rehab for the fourth time, and stayed sober for a decade...then...I relapsed HARD! Drinking even WORSE than before. My wife left...my friends left, and I became SO DELUSIONAL that I was darn near psychopathic. I went to the "crazy house" for awhile, and then another 28 day inpatient rehab. That was 27 months ago,and now I'm in GREAT SHAPE,and I have rebuilt my bridges. I'm working in film...commercials,and print ads now. IF I relapse again...I'll most likely die.
My moms ex bf and baby daddy got caught buying the different components for meeth. He gets arrested while mom is preg. Gets released on bail after a few days, and the cops went back to his place to check on him only to find him cooking meeth the day after he got out of jail. a couple years ago he went back for it again. lol. Prob better off in jail.
1:20 had a online sort of boyfriend on Lost Ark who fell into this. He move from Brazil to Spain to be with his internet girlfriend only to find out she's seeing someone else, and they're rubbing in how stupid he was to do this. I tried to gi e him some emotional support but other then that, he's just using it as an excuse to earn enough money to support his siblings whom he left behind and possibly bring them to Spain
Teacher told me in the 4th grade that one of her earlier students was play fighting with his friend next to the curb in highschool he pushed him and he feel and bust his head open on the curb he was arrested for manslaughter and was in prison for a very long time.
Guy kills his gf and waits for cops and gets life in prison. You have been visited by the snake of great corn. You will be blessed with corn for eternities....
