Good question with netherite armor I got to half heart with the wither explosion.

It's something dumb like 140 on Hard. I know it still one-shots you with full Prot 4 Diamond/Netherite and Blast Prot 4 on one armor piece (maximum blast resistance). You need the absorption from a god apple to survive, or a totem. Source: Standing too close to one like an idiot on 2b.

You can survive a point blank end crystal if you have created the God armour in minecraft 1.14 with mainly two enchantments protection 4 and blast protection 4

What Skip probably meant was "If you have a netherite ingot, maybe save it until you have enough diamonds for an axe because then you'll be doing the most damage per hit." This experiment isn't necessarily the fastest way to deal large amounts of damage fast, it is what deals the most damage in a single strike. And sometimes, a single strike is all you need to kill an enemy with high enough damage.

@@businessmanbrute2211 You don't need all blast prot, in fact it's stupid to do that. One piece of blast prot and 3 of normal provide the maximum protection against explosives while still providing decent protection against other attacks and is what we use to not get one-shot from cpvp.

If a gold pick is faster than a diamond one, a gold sword should be stronger than a diamond one. It's still balanced because of the terrible durability. If players started using gold swords too often, then they could reduce the damage to the same as a diamond sword. I don't see why this isn't the case.

​@@AdamSmith-qu5bv That's actually a pretty good idea. I think the idea of a glass cannon weapon is cool. Though IMO the durability on tools (pickaxes, axes and shovels) is kinda annoying even if they are the fastest. I kinda think they should have a small buff too. Maybe even gold swords can have a very slight increase in durability too. I do like the idea of a "glass cannon" weapon. Breaks very easily, but it's really good. I think at the most it should do diamond damage, as well, i don't know about diamonds reputation really. At the least it could Iron damage, it being worse than a stone sword is just a bit bad. I also don't get how Gold can't break its own ore. You need an Iron Pickaxe to mine gold, and gold cant mine diamond. ._. If we're gonna talk about buffing bad things, what about gold armor, sure the piglins won't bother you but that isn't really going to be useful in PVP. I don't know what else they could do, since they cant make it better than Iron because... idk What about Leather Armor, the armor that absolutely noone is going to make. Because mining Iron is something you can do in the first 10 minutes of the game, and making a cow farm takes much longer, you have to wait 5 minutes to breed the cows over and over again. It just overall takes more time, if not more effort. I kind of wonder what if they made speed affected by armor choice, like wearing armor would make you slightly slower or something. If that were the case, leather armor would be faster than all other armor, and give you more protection. I presume not having armor would mean you'd be the same speed as leather armor. Or maybe Leather Armor can have a unique enchantment or something? I don't know what they could do to Leather Armor to make it useful that wouldn't impact the vanilla experience. I doubt people would be happy with the change I listed. Then again they were unhappy with the combat change I personally like so... I actually don't like how I can't buy bedrock, because I'm one of the people who prefer 1.9 combat. I'm a weirdo apparantly. So uh... Gold tools could be buffed Gold sword and axe could do more damage I feel like even gold pickaxes arent made when trying to do extensive caving so... that could get a slight buff i feel. The durability doesn't have to be literal glass. Just a small durability buff pls. Maybe same with Axe. Leather Armor could maybe EXIST. Like I don't think some people even know it's a craftable armor. Or have ever crafted it.

@@pyraswolf4263 about buff for the leather armor it would be nice since always from the start the first armor you got was the second best one (until netherite) like, the first armor you get fills 3/4 of the armor bar, Now about the gold, gold is clearly not a glass cannon, its glass, its a joke, its suposed to be crappy, because you have other recipes that need it (and now bartering) the gold tools are a joke, not suposed to be good or a glass cannon

The reason netherite tools burn but not the netherite armor is because the tools are crafted with sticks while the armor is purely netherite.
