I was horribly bullied in mainly middle school (horrid sensory issues, mental issues, and was an alternative baby lgbt kid) to the point of being hospitalized for severe SI. My school's way of 'handling it' was still putting me in the same room as the main aggressor but on different sides and not doing anything about it when he'd intentionally piss me off. The teachers also barely gave a crap when he'd do stuff and hit me with the 'well maybe he likes you' as a response to constant insults/harassment to about tears. It took years to get through that mental crap.

Had an ovarian cyst that burst and hurt so bad the doctors thought it might be ovarian torsion. Can confirm, if it’s anything like what I experienced it is utterly excruciating. I have never experienced anything that painful before or since and I have no desire to feel the real thing.

So about the not giving babies sedatives. When i was barely walking my brother accidentally ran over my toe with his trike. The doctor's made my mom leave the room and she said she heard me screaming bloody murder from the hallway. Pretty sure they didn't give me anything for the pain when they ripped my toenail out the rest of the way. Now i have a phobia around my toes. I'm very protective and weird about them and have been that way as long as i can remember. Pretty sure it's connected.

Regarding the gun story 1(with the guns). I remember hearing a story about how my late mother once sat on the edge of her bed late at night with a revolver loading 5 bullets over and over again before taking them out. With each bullet she would say the name of her four children (remember, I am one of them) and then herself. It was overheard by my eldest sibling. I don't know what force compelled her to abandon that plan but I am actually kinda grateful. If she had opted to pull the trigger (pun intended {own your puns you cowards!}) my now 19 year old adopted son would have been lost in the foster care system and I would never have met my husband of 26 years.

I hope Mainly Fact sees this one. My first teacher story: I was in kindergarten and had tummy issues. We were sitting cross legged on the floor in group lessons and I pooped my pants, like liquid diarrhea. I panicked and raised my hand to go to the bathroom, she wouldn’t let me go and in desperation I told her I had an accident in front of the entire class, she still said no. I went to the teachers aid and told her what happened and she sent me to the nurse to get cleaned up. But yeah liked that teacher up until then, have held a grudge ever since, it’s been 16 years.

Story six, not having children, is kinda like me. I used to like kids but now I can only put up with them for so long. I chose not to have children for two reasons. 1. I'd be afraid I would kill them if I got to angry. People say, it different when they are your own, but it scares me enough no not chance it. 2. I have severe depression and anxiety. I don't want to take a chance in passing it on to anyone. I know you can't but the fear of my child going through the pain I go through is enough to not chance it. I'm being safe in my choices.

My parents have been considering buying a gun. But it’ll be for camping and camping only. They(we) have a fifth wheel and seasoned camping family as a whole. They are considering it because of wildlife emergencies as some places we go are near/In national parks and if a brown bear or moose or whatever is charging, ya need something for that. I'm one of 5 girls, my dad was a carpenter and build houses for most of my life. He taught us girls how to do basic home repairs plumbing included. So the run over stop sign story reminds me of a scandal that was exposed in North Wales after the signs were taken down and multiple people were ticketed and fought it, despite the police trying to cover it up. The scandal? When it was investigated by the courts, it was revealed that the guy incharge of that police force had basically told (and it was written and documented in emails and things) all police to IGNORE any crimes except traffic, particularly speeding, because it was the most easy and the most financially lucrative. They'd intentionally been made to stop investigating burglaries, robberies, assaults, child abuse, domestic violence, etc. They'd turn up (sometimes), give a case number in case people needed to claim on insurance and that was it. No forensics, no investigation, no resolution, no justice. It was a massive thing when the news came out

As for your anger issues, that may also change. I'm a woman with autism who grew up in an abusive household and as a younger person inherited a lot of the abuser's (my father) traits. I used to lash out badly when a teenager as well. Now I have babysat multiple generations of nieces and nephews and am one of the more calm and stable adults emotionally and physically in their lives. I am not a believer in the "Everything always gets better!" statement but I do believe that PEOPLE generally get better, at dealing with themselves and with their reactions to the world around them. If your only reason for not wanting children is your worry of harming them, keep an open mind and continue to work on yourself. You have many years down the road to get to a better frame of being. If you still decide to never have children, that's perfectly fine as well, still work on yourself though, you'll feel better not having so much anger, I know that.

I agree with the guy who didn't see a problem with vaccinating babies.. Anesthesia was very dangerous to babies at the time and wasn't a logical option, ALSO the pain that an older child would experience would traumatize them for life. Yeah it could probably subconsciously effect a baby too, but the odds are much lower for them then it is for an older child. So unless your baby is going without vaccinations (bad idea) or you want to traumatize them later in life (also a bad idea) vaccinating them when they are too little to remember is very clearly the better and more humane option. Anything else would have been a far more cruel fate.
