Totally agree and have had mine for six months - very happy. My only comment to both O.R.E and you would be to add a rubber cover to the grease nipple so keep all the crap out that Defenders throw up at the rear. Looking forward to their rear step launch in April. How is the steering guard doing? Are you going to do a video on it?

I have seen dirt bike carriers that require such a hinge to load the bike on a ramp with the hinge open 90 degrees to the rear. Then once loaded on to the horizontal platform attached to the hinge, the hinge is closed in placed to carry the bike in the same way as the spare tire. What is the maximum pay load of the hinge to be used as a dirt bike hinge ? Thanks!

Agree with you on most points here, I've had mine a while now. The only thing I've an issue with is the washers. The washers on mine have gone a bit rusty. But overall it's great, you'll not find anything of equivalent build and quality at that price point.

H, Chris here from ORE - All the fixings are 304 stainless so shouldn't be rusty accept the kit in the xmember which are Zinc plated. We did a lot of testing, research and calculations and found that a hardened mild steel bolt was more durable than the stainless. So for safety the xmember bolts are zinc plated and all the others are stainless. Feel free to email us so we can help further if required. info@ore4x4.co.uk

It looks as if you have the rubber ‘bung’ squashed up against the backing plate on the door, far more tightly than mine. Is that normal, as by comparison, mine is far looser?
