My Advance 2 cartridge went through the washing machine once, and after it had finished drying surprisingly still worked. Though it was never the same. I could be playing the game and get a few levels in, but then I would have to go do chores or whatever a kid had to do, and when I turned it back on it wouldn't be saved in the same place I left it. Sometimes all my data would be wiped and I'd have to start over. Sometimes everything would be unlocked, all characters and levels and everything in the Chao garden. It was really cool, but also a bit annoying. But other than that I really loved the game!
I have a perfectly fine cart of SA2, I just don't want to play it right now. It gives me a huge nostalgia trip due to playing it as a kid (In some form anyways)
If you block a certain pin (or maybe a combination of them, I forget but it's super simple), you'll actually get the same result with any normal cartridge. I know because I went out of my way to block pins and see what would happen. Because I clearly care about my Time Attack record for Egg Utopia Act 2 XD
The fact that you used a Littlest Pet Shop game gave me such a nostalgia bomb, that I tried to use my old one. It did not work... ...Thanks for crushing my hopes and dreams. But seriously, this was a great video all around. It made me want to give these games a shot. c:
I thought the Advance Trilogy was well received. All 3 games have at least a 4 star rating or above. People who hate on the games are probably just annoying Sonic fanboys who dislike any Sonic game because it’s not a Genesis title. I agree I think the games are great.
They could also be a bunch of Classic/Meta Era fanboys who just love to hate on games that are actually kickass, the Sonic Advance series is only one inclusion.
I stared at the screen for 2 minutes before Sliver told us the weather would be hot. I didn't realize for those 2 minutes that I'd accidentally paused the video and was waiting patiently for the joke. Turns out the joke was me.
Who the fuck says that Sonic Advance is bad? It's literally What Sonic 4 should have been. Advance 2 and 3 went kinda overboard with new gameplay mechanics and gimmicks but Advance 1 is pretty much a Classic Sonic game just like those on Genesis but with Modern Character designs.
Seemingly everybody else on youtube ignores its existence, and when I asked about it, I was told "because those games are mediocre and unmemorable" **cough cough completionist saying there hasn't been a good sonic game since Sonic 3 &Knuckles cough cough**
Robert Watts yep. When you don't have the money, and all you have is a hand me down computer, that's how I played this whole series first, but I finally played it on the actual GBA and it felt so much better. I feel like unless the game was made for the computer, it won't feel right playing it on the computer.
I prefer these older type videos, especially because he goes deep into topics with detail, as well as giving personal experience. Not only that, but he has cardboard silver present. This shows that he had a good understanding of what People wanted even if he did not know what they wanted. If you read this whole thing it was a joke, I just want him to bring back cardboard silver as well as these type of “what’s up with” videos
>Sonic Fans >Not liking Sonic Advance Um...what rock are you hiding under, Peter? Last I checked nearly every fan praises the Advance Trilogy, and particularly call Advance 1 "The Real Sonic 4".
BallOfBlood Nah. Everyone is always like "There has not been a good sonic game since 3&K/Cd" "Sega only does 3d games" And everyone forgets about advance. Its sad.
May i interrupt your cringery over advance series? There is a advance mod for sonic mania. Thank you for your pacience reading this. It saves lifes of the advance series fans.
If you learn Sonic's special moves in Sonic Advance (1), you can get and maintain ludicrous amounts of speed on the toughest platforming stages and it is absolutely divine. Most fun I've had in any Sonic game by far.
No to Big and Vanilla ship! Yes to Vector and Vanilla ship! For starters, Big is far younger than Vanilla for starters. Big the Cat is 18 years of age. Where as it's speculated that Vanilla is in her late 20's or early 30's since her daughter, Cream, is of age 6. Vector is more closer to Vanilla's age than Big is, despite being only two years older than Big the Cat, Vector being the age of 20. Since it's well known that throughout the years, Vector and Vanilla were already canon as the years progressed.
Sonic Advanced 3 was the very first sonic game I ever owned and as time goes by it remains to be one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm so glad to hear from someone who felt the same. :')
The gameboy was my first official video game "console", so this was the first Sonic game I ever played, and I LOVED it. Replayed it over and over and got addicted to the Chao Room. The music is making me super nostalgic right now >~
Oh no does this mean that Jeff the killer is a sonic obsessed homicidal maniac who's out for blood and is probably annoyed as all hell by all the fan girls who make up fanfics about him. I mean it makes sense how else would he out run them
I know it's far from the most optimal team, but I can't help it. I pick Sonic and Tails in Advance 3 every time. They're just the best characters, and I love them. Plus, that super jump is pretty useful. "Unbreakable Bond".
One more thing about the hub worlds: you can play the acts out of order if you want. I think this is because some people on the dev team wanted to reorder the acts in the final zone, but the others didn't, so they split the difference.
8:58 oh, good to see that Ubisoft bug testing quality has been consistent since the early 2000s. (just a disclaimer, I am an Assassins Creed fan, I'm just calling Ubisoft out for their, many times hilarious, glitches.)
The Advance Sonic games are one of my favorites, thanks to them I got to know more about Sonic, not only that but Advance 3 was really fun to me because of the tag system and the different abilities each character had to offer.
I feel like I was warped right back to ten-year-old me. Sonic Advance 2 was my childhood obsession. Thanks for the nostalgia! (I had the LPS game too, I had the cat!)
Sonic Advance 2 actually does have a Tiny Chao Garden. Unfortunately you have to get all the chaos emeralds to unlock it which is tediously difficult since you have to search entire stages finding all the coins to get to the special stages.
