About What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (김비서가 왜 그럴까):
Can you be so self-absorbed that you have no idea what’s truly going on around you? Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) is vice president of his family-owned company, Yoomyung Group. He is so narcissistic that he doesn’t pay attention to what his trusty secretary, Kim Mi So (Park Min Young), is trying to tell him most of the time.
After nine years of making Young Joon look good and stroking his very large ego, Min So decides to quit her job. Young Joon’s younger brother, Lee Sung Yeon (Lee Tae Hwan), is a famous author who is in love with Mi So.
Can Young Joon accept the fact that Mi So no longer wants to work for him or will he get the wrong idea?
“What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” is a 2018 South Korean drama series directed by Park Joon Hwa. It is based on a novel by Jung Kyung Yoon. A 2016 webcomic by Kim Young Mi also was based on the same novel.

To be honest... Not really. He may have nicer intentions than expected / a sad backstory but even after seeing everything I'd still say he basically trapped her in servitude hell for 9 years. She overworked, couldn't even get a boyfriend, had to always smile at his nonesense and had to look perfect to match his looks. That's mentally taxing and takes over your life, he doesn't even respect her type of work that much, just expects it to be there. Good on her for trying to get out after she doesn't need the money anymore. I only started gaining empathy for this guy after he made some changes to be more considerate.

L5940 I assume you haven’t read the webtoon if that’s what you think she thinks of him. Because in one of the chapters/episodes she mentions how she never once felt bad working for him (something similar to this, but not exactly). You should read the webtoon, it’s great!

I read the webtoon and loved the story and grew extremely fond of the characters, about how both developed each other and reflected that influence and companionship in tiny details, it's an awesome story and after finishing it I discovered there was a drama!!! This drama has a serious side also but the comedic side was so funny. I am still laughing and I want to re-watch it again since I just finished it. I can't find the words to describe it because it's above your basic words that complicate a drama. I will probably watch this over and over again. Same. I watch this before and am coming back. It is a very cute and funny show. Has its serious moments but also heartfelt. I even like how the main leads are together, they keep each other youthful. A lot of the time, male leads are misogynistic but he is more funny than actually self absorbed and deeper than he seems.

This show is so good. I believe Young Joon thought he was in a relationship for those 9 years. I wonder though, what was his plan to move the relationship from professional to personal/romantic before Kim decides to quit? LMAO. He is like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, clueless as hell about the women. I love how he just pops in on her at her home several times. Oh, you are taking the day off? Why this is the best drama I saw in my life: · I usually watch 50 min episodes in 15 min because I skip all stupid scenes. · I could not skip a single scene. · They are all very to the point conversion yet very funny in every scene. · All the characters are great with great humor. · It has a deep story, but it is presented in a very positive and funny manner. · I love that kind of strong, successful man character who thinks they are the best. · Great interior. · Every scene you think that oh he got caught with his feelings or must compromise his pride but actually he comes up with very funny logic dialogue that was the best. · I love the president and mother characters the most.Most funny Last and most important: As soon as finished watching all episodes, started watching again from the first episodes without skipping and I am still enjoying so much

I'd figured that since I love the webtoon, I might give this drama a try. uwu Edit: so far, they got the main cast to look perfect like the characters in the webtoon.

Published Author's Review: Firstly the ml is extremely arrogant but I couldn't help but love him. He was so funny with it. Secretary Kim is every man's dream woman. The story was nothing like I expected. It was better. The ml went through so much as a kid and lived with it for 24 years to protect the ppl he loved. This drama had made my heart wrench when he relived the memories. The supporting characters were great. No meddling parents. No obsessed woman on the side. I'm glad i decided to watch. 9/10 only because I found the relationship had no angst. Bonus:::: ml has a body i'd like to caress. Sexy!

My first kdrama was "She was Pretty", followed by kill me heal me and What's wrong with secretary Kim. Everyone says that seo Joon and mun young have great chemistry but I just couldn't feel it in the show, the love, tension and attraction, especially from min young. Maybe because it was how the characters were written and the storyline. Even after their relationship started Min young still felt rigid and formal. But I really loved the chemistry between Seo Joon and Hwang. In both the shows, their chemistry felt natural and real, the love, tension, attraction and emotions. I wonder if they can do one more show together.

This is an unique excellent and incredible drama. I love it... I cry a lot not because the drama is sad I cry because the things that happened was good and really funny Vice chairman handsome guy very intelligent wise unique everybody fear him never date never kiss he don’t allow woman’s to touch him very high self-esteem Secretary Kim knows everything about him nine years working for him. Cheese his right hand his personal secretary.. Never date never have a boyfriend never kiss she did not have the time because she’s 24/7 The personal assistant from Vice Chairman... But suddenly after a social event she tell in person to the vice chairman Sr. today’s is my last day. I’m personally telling you I resign... THEN THE STORY BEGINS!!!!!
