I played Final Fantasy 7 Remake without playing the original and it’s my game of the year, I’m now playing the original and having a really weird case of reverse nostalgia. Also honourable mention for persona 5 royal and cyberpunk 2077, both also amazing .

Absoloutely agree with Ash, was so good playing it from release and did nothing but play it, work, sleep and eat! Was an absoloutely phenomenal game from start to finish, and I'm so glad I experienced it.

Honestly Persona 5's ending was so much better, it just kept with the theme of the game so well. A good special edition ending should expand on the originals not rewrite it.

Considering we’ve spent this whole year isolated and used to seeing other people on their own individual video cams, even in videos such as the PS Access videos, seeing a Tuesday Checklist with all of them in the same room feels both overwhelming and wholesome at the same time. 😄😭

@@capellozapellini6074 well, I’ve also played life Is strange which square was involved with, I’ve also played kingdom hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake was my first introduction to the Final Fantasy series! I’m now anticipating the release of FF16! So sometimes yeah I follow square Enix games but I’m interested in other stuff too like Spider-Man, god of war and horizon zero dawn!

Final Fantasy 7 remake is the only game I’ve replayed on the PS4 and I truly loved every second. The soundtrack, the characters, graphically beautiful, gameplay. If you have time over Christmas please play it, it’s under £30 now

Dreams is very intriguing to me. I know that it’s innovative and down the road we’ll look back and recognize it as the game that paved the path for a new concept in gaming, but I’m concerned that it’s not necessarily fun. Is it actually fun to play outside of its forward thinking and creativity?

Lovely to see the team back in their natural habitat! This year has been tough on everyone and, personally, Access videos (past and present) have really helped perk me up. A particular highlight was Ash's explosive entry onto the scene with the Halloween streams, just brilliant! Just a shame that everyone except Rob expressed an incorrect opinion in this video so will have to be rightfully banned from the channel. It was fun while it lasted ;) Seriously though - Ash, Dan, Dave, Nath, Rob, Rosie (alphabetical to show no favouritism!) - thank you for your continued work and content throughout these difficult times. My game of the year is animal crossing and final fantasy 7 remake. Ff7r left me hungry for more I cant wait for the next part of the game I want to fight as red and tame chocobos. AC was made for this lock down and I wont say more since it's a switch game.

I agree with Ash. Probably because I did the same thing and blasted it for roughly 18 hours straight, the caveat being I had just rolled in from a 24hr shift fixing live underground electrical cables, so by the time I got roughly half way through I'd been awake for approaching 40 hours. Worth it though.

My favourite games this year were persona 5 royal,Ghost of tsushima and ff7 remake all were so good. I even got the platinum for each of them.Btw persona 5 royal has replaced persona 5 as one of my favourite games of all time but og ff7 is still one of my favourites of all time. :)

Dave, your comments regarding Astro Bot are spot on - such an unashamedly joyous gaming experience that just oozes love for the medium. I actually got quite emotional playing through it because I’m a 40 year old man and just like the PSVR game that came before it I spent the entire run time grinning from ear to ear. It made me feel like a kid again and frankly that’s one of the most endearing things a video game can do and was definitely needed after the year we’ve had. Thanks for showing this “more than just a freebie” game the love
