I like the fact that she was telling this story, I saw it like this: her bully don't get the chance to give a shitty version of "I was in school with Sarah and now that she's famous she doesn't remember her classmates" Oh no she remembers but "not so favorly" EPIC

My worst bully and I made amends and friends after I shared this clip. He's a decent person these days and has daughters of his own who've been bullied. I encouraged him to look back on our youth to see if those lessons can help his daughters.

Facebook brought out a lot of former bullies to try and friend me and it still is mind boggling how people cannot remember being absolutely evil to others.

You know what the beauty of that answer is? Now Lynn has to decide whether to keep the charade of liking Sarah, just to keep her "rep of knowing someone famous" with the kids, or LOSE the rep of knowing somebody famous... And either way, Sarah wins the game.

I remember those career quizzes. I work in the medical field now, but in grade 9 that quiz told me my ideal career was “ship’s crew”

The "one brown arm" thing applied just as much to taxi drivers. My mum drove taxis early to mid 1980's. And her totally white Scottish left arm and apparently mediterranean tanned right arm, always made me laugh.

I'm saving "I don't remember you very favorably" for later.

I saw this lady in a smallish local venue many years ago. She was so continuously funny throughout I was genuinely sore with laughing by the end. She's brilliant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately this is as sad as it is funny, especially from the perspective of a father who's daughter has been through a similar experience.

I was terribly bullied and ridiculed in school and by one of my siblings because I had a quite obvious physical impairment, a birth injury (Urb’s Palsy) resulting in my right arm being paralyzed. Never told my Mom about any of it. That wasn’t the childhood code, to tell. By the time medicine caught up with my issue, I was 8. A wonderful paediatric surgeon had perfected a surgical procedure that could help me. I was the 5th Canadian child to have the operation, and the 3rd success. I went on to a wonderful career as an ER nurse in Canada’s largest teaching hospital, had two wonderful kids, and have no idea where my tormentors are now. My self esteem is still and always will be 💩! If I had an email address to write to them, I’m afraid my comments would be less eloquent than yours! I’m so proud of you, Sarah! You took adversity and turned it into laughter. At work I was worthwhile. Outside of that, I deemed myself worthless. Unfortunately, this mind set is hard wired in my brain after 60+ years. Keep being you! You’re one of the few comedians who can make me laugh. I’d come to your show if you ever tour Canada. Just to say thanks for the laughter in person. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

I remember those career quizzes I remember answering g yes to a couple of questions that probably shaped the career suggestion Do you like to work with people? Do you like to work inside? The suggestion was prison warden! My husband thinks it was spot on!

I once facebooked messaged my bully because I thought it would give me some closure and in a funny sort of way I wanted to make sure she was okay. Instead it was awkward and in retrospect I think I was looking for an apology. Somehow I don’t think she knew what I was talking about and that it never dawned on her that hitting someone with a water bottle on the back isn’t a nice thing to do.

Why does my brain want her to write a fake letter to the editor as if it’s Lynn, that she’s contracted the nastiest of STIs and doesn’t know how to tell her man. Then if/when the magazine prints it, post a copy of that over to Lynn.

"Buy my own insult" now that is one heck of a slick move on the bully's part but Sarah's reply is perfect. We did the career thing and mine came out that I ought to be a nurse or an actress. That is sort of like both ends of a spectrum as nursing is often selfless and acting is often selfish. I did get a friend to nearly do a Niagara Nose (when you laugh and what you drink comes out of the nose) when I said "I guess the nursing will come in handy when carrying for the kids and the acting will be good enough to fool the husband when I fake it."

It’s funny she says that her body image issues don’t come from her mom or dad or her childhood but then she goes on to tell stories that illustrate just that. there’s a disconnect there. I can relate. It took me many years to put together everything that happened to me as well.

Every career quiz I've taken has told me that I should be a minister or politician. Eek. I decided on a professor and Psychotherapist.

My test in the U.S.A. said I should be a Auto Mechanic. This was in the 1970's how many female Auto Mechanics was there? None that I ever saw. I worked in my own child care and then when I got tired of people u Der 5 feet tall I became a Chef. Worked all over the U.S.A. and when I retired I taught my husband how to replace a toilet and replace the house removing cast Iron pipe and refitting with PVC also how to sweat copper pipe for a kitchen sink. So maybe they didn't pick up that I liked children and food sciences but I do not do Mechanic work.

I have no idea why but this story of Sarah's brought a tear to my eye

My suggested career was "map reader".

I know the school Sarah went to. My friends all went there. Bullying was rampant! I went to St. Wilf's RC. The Mortimer mob, plus Brinkburn, plus Stanhope, used the 'three pronged attack' every term. "Catty Bashing" was such fun! We were the only ones in uniform. Target! Hey ho, 40 years ago. Happy days...not.

I’m 49 and from the states. Happily married to my beautiful wife for decades. I rarely comment of looks of other women. That said… you are pretty, women are supposed to be curvaceous and you are a beautiful example. On top of a pretty face you clearly have an amazing mind.
