Love this! Onwards to next season...since we filmed this we’ve strengthened with our #HashtagAcademy boys so🤞- fixtures just released so it’s very real again!
I am proud to say i am a hashtad united fan it may not be my first team but it is for sure my second you should be proud of what u built and i will always watch hashtag from day 1 coyh 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Hashtag is a unique club taking a path no one has before. You get to know the players, the staff, and the fans. You feel like you are part of the club and part of the family. I'm proud to be a fan and I never forget to hashtag it!
Supporting a "proper" is not real any more. The clubs dont need the fans, the players dont care. Its all about money, I quickly became out of love with football due to this. Been a subscriber to Spencer FC for years and watched nearly every game theyve played.
Spencer seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The club is in good hands. Hopefully he stays in charge in case there is ever major investment in this. Would be great if a big club loaned some players to yall and maybe set up some kind of partnership. Maybe ive been playing Football Manager too much...
I love Hashtag! I’m a Norwich fan primarily. But I definitely class Hashtag Utd as My second club. I am a massive fan. It’s amazing being able to follow everything and I was just as happy with Hashtag UTD’s promotion as I was with Norwich’s promotion to the premier league!
Been following Spencer’s incredible journey since his early days on RU-vid and its mind blowing to see how far he’s gone, shows that hard work and dedication can take you anywhere! Never forget to # it!!
This club has a massive connection and network that no other club on the planet has. My first love is my Seattle Sounders. #EBFG , it’s my city and my club. But Hashtag United is EVERYONE’S club. From everywhere.
I’m tired of this obsession about the name. “The Beatles” is a bit of a naff band name but nobody even notices it because they’re so well known - nobody even thinks about the name, it just “is”. The same goes for football teams. If Hashtags go on to achieve a load of success, people will forget about and not even acknowledge the name. Moreover, the reason it may sound silly now is because the use of “hashtags” is still relatively new. There will be a time when people no longer use hashtags in the same way and therefore the name “Hashtag United” will be warm and nostalgic as opposed to “trendy”.
None of us can say that we’ve been their since day one with supporting our actual clubs (Liverpool, United etc). With Hashtag it’s different. We’re seeing it grow from the ground up and it’s a whole new experience which is why I think it’s as popular as it is.
I've been watching Spencer Owen even before he made Hashtag FC, its just a shame i live in North Wales and can't travel to watch any Hashtag United games
I'm one of the "guys across the world" who support this club. I think what they should do next is continue developing the "eco system" as Spencer said. I am looking forward to watching the youth team, ladies team, and further expansion. It's really a remarkable club that I'm proud to support.
Tbf at first when I heard they went in non league it did kinda made me mad (even though I was watching Hashtag from start) but watching the progress of the whole club on and off pitch changed my mind on them in non league. Ps big up Tom Williams mentioning my team Fylde 🤜🏻.
I can see this club being a 7-5th tier club in the future tbh. Edit: Speaking about Scott Pollock being in the National league. Josh could be another gem that can go far. Just got work out a few kinks, then boom, you got a star in the making.
Love hashtag but I have 2 doubts/problems 1. Is spencer rich enough to maintain a stable football club 2. Everyone who likes hashtag also supports another team there hardly anyone who just supports hashtag and none else
1. Spencer doesn't need to be rich. Big companies will know how much money they can make of hashtag since it's a global thing watched by thousands. They can easily aquire a lot of money through sponsorship deals 2. Most non league sides are supported by guys who have two clubs. The good thing about hashtags fan base being so young is that in 10 years time all the cringy 11 years old will still be there but just 10 years older. They would have also made some younger fans through the internet as well. Overall as a business model hashtag United is actually really clever. I think the only problem with it is that other big coprations will try and replicate it and provide competition not only football wise but viewership wise as well
What the traditionalists aren't happy with is the "new". Football clubs have always been associated with a town, a city or a general local area. The older clubs were created from church parishes or schools. Hashtag didn't do that to grow the "fair" way, their home is the internet and it allows this large following that small traditional new clubs can only dream of. That's what sadly fuels the jealousy.
I'm against modern football and the name seems a bit plastic indeed, but if Hashtag become a bigger club, with Spencer they would have a chairman who has a lot of real passion for the game, that's a good thing at least
I can't help but feel angry at Spencer for abandoning his YT audience just so that he could fulfill his fantasy of having a "professional" club. Don't get me wrong I love hashtag and the work they are doing, but Spencer is a RU-vidr and he abandoned his subscribers. He rarely posts videos because he's so focused on being something he's not!
I understand your frustration, but I would argue this is something he wanted to be all along. He is the owner of a football club now and a leader in the FIFA esports world. I am celebrating his success. Hopefully someone else will come along with innovative FIFA content like Uncle Spenny used to give us.
