I don’t think people understand how crazy flipping a helicopter in general is, or flipping a plane like that is. I’m not even sure how the physics of a plane flip like that work.
For the plane, that's relatively simple, just use massive control surfaces relative to the size of the plane and then point them all Left and up for example (I don't know if that's what you need to do to make that plane do what it was doing but it would be something along those lines)
Meanwhile: RC plane flies while spinning and hovers like a helicopter. RC helicopter flips in two axis at the same time, flies backwards, and casually hovers upside-down.
@@SkillfulNick stunt planes like the one doing those crazy flips are generally built much sturdier than the average plane because they're designed to do stupid stuff like that
@@TylerTMG I'm talking about being able to land on any surface with zero long-term consequences much regardless of how many times you do it, yeah, you can jump from 20 ft and land on softer surfaces with minimal consequences. Although from what I understand, there are long-term health risks that you want to be concerned about unless you're like 4 ft tall and 100 lb or less When you're jumping from the 15 ft and up (although it can definitely be done occasionally with minimal risk from probably up to 25 ft unless you're really big like probably 6 ft 200 lb or more
@@the_undeadwhile you are correct, the athlete that did this jump broke his ankle when he did it, go watch his video about it it’s pretty crazy, his channel name is dom tomato
The plane not so much, You're not doing that with a bog standard Cessna 150 but they didn't. That is a stunt plane. Which as far as I know you can buy off the shelf and they can do that (The pilot might not be able to without passing out, but I'm sure Red bull could get their hands on a military flight suit and then this would be a non-issue for the average pilot)
@@the_undeadI’m not sure if the aircraft shown is an Extra 300 or an Extra 330 but either way the aircraft are extremely capable, pilots do need training to do the manoeuvres but no flight suit is needed that is military specialised. The pilot just needs to be able to handle the amount of G’s.
The skiing one was too. Dude went into a front flip and then landed Immediately at that speed. You have to be crazy good to not mess a single muscle up and roll to your grave lol
