I salvaged all of mine the minute the newest part of the expansion dropped and I got the leggy relic. Getting that for free, for crafting just one leggy rune (I didn't have one before SotO) was an insane profit in itself, so I don't mind my "mistake" one bit. Cheers ArenaNet, that was very generous!

Where are you getting this numbers? Right now the facet is at 41,99g listing. The costs in lucent is 31,5g if you buy them off of listings and 34,86 if you insta buy them. Its still a profit no?
@@darensgw2 about 37g for a sell order and 32 for a buy order, but the history shows that theres an increasing supply which is outpacing demand. If you think about it, whenever someone puts up a video like this, and people start doing it, supply will grow. If demand doesn't also grow, then the price, and profit, WILL drop. This is inevitable, its how markets work. The sell orders for facets are moving very very slowly. If you were to put up sell orders for facets you are definitely not going to make a return on your investment in motes very quickly, if at all, as more people follow your guide and craft them and place sell orders undercutting you. Of course, selling to buy orders is more reliable, but as demand for lucent motes rises, due to demand from people crafting facets and from people crafting legendary relics, the profit margin will shrink and shrink. Well done on the video, you just destroyed the profitability of crafting facets! :D
@@darensgw2 Yeah thats all well and good, but you also destroy the profitability. Soon market will reach equilibrium. Motes will increase in value due to demand, profit margin on facets will drop. It might soon reach a point where there isn't a copper to be made on facets. Then what happens? People stop crafting them. Supply drops. Will demand remain steady?
I mean that is gonna happen anyways with time, and if that is the case there is a problem with the item itself, I dont think it will becasue the supply of free relics will decrease and the demand will probably stay more or less the same. BUT we will see @@SteveWray
It's not exactly a secret. Everybody who missed out on the free legendary relic learns how much these are worth and the price of lucent crystals rose because of the recipe for leg relic
