I'm really blown away by the number of people asking questions about the very information Aaron took the time to explain in this informative video regarding how much pump GPM you need to properly run various diameter surface cleaners. It's one thing to ask how much a 16" vs 20" might actually run different on a 4GPM pump, but for ppl to repeatedly ask questions like "Hey will my 3.5GPM pump work on a 24" surface cleaner?" Absolutely ridiculous. It's like they watched 10 seconds of the video and went right to the comments expecting help. Thanks Aaron, I really appreciate you making these types of videos and hope ppl will actually pay more attention to the content instead of asking dumb questions. You and several other wash guys here are amazing.
I have a 4 GPM 4000 PSI running a 24 inch ANT24. Straight out of the box like you say it ran a little slow so I changed the bar tips from 2.7 to 2.5 and she just flies now. The only thing I would suggest to someone trying this is make sure you have a water filter on your pressure line going into the surface cleaner to minimize nozzle blockage
Thanks so much for sharing I was thinking about getting a 24 inch for my 4.2 gpm 4200 psi pressure washer but people with 4 gpm machine keep complaining how 24 is not quick enough. I always have a feeling it was the nozzle that slow down their work. What degree nozzle are you using?
I just bought a new trailer, a 10 GPM machine , 36 inch surface cleaner and I am building a softwash system. I hope that after 1 year i can go full time like you man!
Hi Aaron! Great video thanks! 🙂 What size of nozzle do you use on your 8GPM machine (example 25° and 040)? Would you switch nozzle size if you run a 20inch vs.28 inch? Thanks again for great content
Great content again Aaron. Watching your videos inspired me to start my pressure washing business here in the UK I've just upgraded from the 15lpm machine I started business with to a 21lpm belt driven machine. Got my first job with it on Sunday and I can't wait to use it. Hopefully be even better with my 20" Whirlaway. Looking to drop down to an 18" for the ultimate cleaning power from my pump. Thanks for all the useful info and advice in the videos, keep it up!
@@SuperMbongoI bought a 20” Whirlaway which worked ok but had to be very slow with it and have a couple of passes. Works so much better with my 21lpm machine though
@@MattL1987 Thanks for the reply mate, I'm just starting out so the info is greatly appreciated. Would you say 18" would be the sweet spot or even 16"?
@@SuperMbongo 16" would be better for a 15lpm machine, but it depends what nozzles you run. The sweet spot for a 21lpm machine is an 18" SC in my opinion. Let me know what you go for buddy.
What’s goody bro ,I’m in Columbia TN getting the Titan Diesel maintained and fluids changed while watching the videos showing that support your way broski 💪💪,c u at show
Hi! Love your videos. Learn so much! I have a question about surface cleaners and nozzle size. Could i use a smaller surface cleaner like an 12/16" with a 8gpm? I would like to use a cleaner on a extension pole for roof cleaning (concrete roof tiles). What size of nozzles should i use? So the cleaner dont start to fly🙈 Thanks again mate for great video's😁
I have a 2600 psi pressure washer that I was given, I’m looking to buy a surface cleaner than I can use A for this one and B for a bigger one if I upgrade in the future. Problem is the one I want to purchase is 2800 recommended minimum. Is this that big of a deal?
I got a 4gpm machine, can I still used the 8gpm surface cleaner? Please need help on that one since I want to order it and I don't want to be disappointed. Thanks you in advance
Thank you! Appreciate you brother! Edit: So, I messed up. I read that stats on my surface cleaner. It said 3-8gpm. I bought a 4gpm belt drive. Im gonna have to get a 18-19" for it instead of my, akehm, 24" LMAO Wish I would have known. Live and learn! Thank you again bro! I needed this!!
Kind regards from Puerto Rico ' I have a Simpson 4,400 × 4gm. I ask you which surface cleaner Cleans Better the 20" BE with Wheels or the BE that you have without Wheels? Which one Cleans Deeper? Thanks
@Aaron's Lean & Mean Academy And fix to your big guy spraying you feet get you some of that plastic/rubber garden edging stuff and attach it to the back
We don't measure in gallon but my question is I have Honda 3600psi pressure washer and surface cleaning 24 inch but it doesn't properly do the job ..why ? Thanks.
This is true now what I've done was buy the 47 and 32 inch from northstar and I did a little modification to the 47inch. I changed out the tips for 1.5 gallons and extended the center bars with half inch longer ones and it's amazing in stock form my 8gpm unit was leaving strips between the 3 spray bars but now it's perfect and yes I recommend the mods if you buy this one or it's gonna be a waste of money without a larger gpm system. ATLANTA POWERWASH SOLUTIONS INC out front
You focused on the big units my man. You’re not covering the 2.5, 3.5 gpm. You also mentioned the psi does not matter but it actually does in order to attatch a unit that will work together.
Anything under $1000 retail is still hobby time. And since many of our jobs are over $1000 alone I don’t see the need to cover such a low barrier to entry unit. I may though since you brought it up.
Hey Aaron can you help me with my surface cleaner. I have a Simpson Water Blaster 4400psi 4gpm belt drive unit and my surface cleaner is a Simpson 20” when using it tends to lift off the ground could you tell me what size tips you recommended please? I don’t want to cause any damage to anything. Also I like all your videos keep them coming Thank You
I am a homeowner that is actually wanting to purchase a surface cleaner for the house. We have a long driveway with a large amount of cement to keep clean. Ordered the Stihl RB 800 which I believe is 4gpm at 4200PSI. What would be the best surface cleaner for those stats? Where do you find them? Any websites you recommend to purchase the best equipment? Thanks. Great video also.
GREAT VIDEO! i have a question. Will the classic 19" work with my setup I have a Honda GX200 motor (6.5HP) with a AR pump 3.5GPM 2500PSI. Should I reduce and get something smaller? thanks so much
@@Moccalocca100 I literally was about to hit “Purchase” or whatever and I checked real fast. Now I’m Looking into 1100$+ Machines with Stronger engines
We need to know a lot more details about the 4 gallon. Do you know how well will it do with a 19 inch and 20 inch or 22 inch you didn’t talk about any of the details it was just an overview.
With 4GPM Simpson do you think I'd go faster with a 20" that covers more area than say a 16-18"? I'm leaning towards 20" as a lot of people say it works with 0 problems
Hey buddy what would you recommend for a horsepower engine to push a 4 gallon per minute pump? New guy starting out kind of want to be in the middle. Definitely like the 19 inch surface cleaner. Only have a seven horse with a three GPM at the moment not sure if it will run a 19
Watching this video and I’m a little worried. I gotta say that this video was one of the more promising videos I’ve seen for my situation. My situation is.. I bought a 3.5 gpm machine for about 1k bucks at Home Depot because I’m impatient and the 4 gpm was out of stock. Anyway….On Amazon I bought a 22 inch surface cleaner. Keep in mind this was all before I learned the 4 inches to every gpm rule. Again sometimes I jump into things. A downfall of my agressive personality. My question is will it work or am I going to need to pick up a crappy little 16 inch dewalt until I can upgrade to either a 5.5 or the 8gpm machine?
@@leepyle1188 as you said you have a impaient attitude so im thinking this will just drive you crazy having to slow your roll. but it'll sure make you hussle some work to upgrade. im kinda the same way i want it to work at my speed, but im tight with money so i feel i have to do ton or research befor spending a dime. good luck to ya buddy
Is there a reason you don't use the whisper wash with the wheels? It seems like it would make it easier to move around. I haven't used one before but am considering buying one.
