Divide the distance from your place of sitting to the TV by 2.4 and you'll get accurate size. My room is not that lengthy and according to the above formula i need 75 inch TV. I need a TV not a home theatre 😂. You'll be better off by 2.4 (tested in 8 rooms by myself)
We have a 21 inch tv from 2009 lol.. still we are watching in that tv.. Cox nowadays u can get everything in mobile only my mom watch serials in that tv and my dad watch news.. our tv runs only 4 hours in a day 😅
Dividing by 1.6 is the best calculation. Doesn't matter if your TV is FHD or UHD. In my opinion, if you can afford a 4k TV, then go for it because 4k is not the future, it is the present. It offers much more than indistinguishable pixels.
Utkarsh Verma but viewing the same size tv of fullHd and 4k side by side! People can see the difference! Though this varies upon the person’s eyes! And yes! 4k is the best for 2018 !
For all who got confused with his calcultion, do convert your distance into inches and then divide it by 1.6 then youll get your requirement. For example if the distance is 8fts then it will be 96 inches, dividing it by 1.6 youll get 60inches. 😊

Gaurav perhaps u r not able to clear the concept. Suppose i am watching the t.v. from 8 feet and as per ur analysis if this distance is devided by 1.6 then size of tv would come. 8/1.6=5. Tell me what is the size of t.v.
Kishore Shyam watching a 60 inch t.v. from a distance of 8 feet appears to be not correct. Somewhere I read that four times of the distance is correct measurement. 8 x 4 comes to 32. hence 32 inches t.v. wud be idle for 8 feet distance
Yogesh Kumar well this measurements is all subjective and depends on the person who watches it ! But for the “best” viewing experience the above measurement is correct ... though u can change it here and there as per ur liking... However it is not mandatory to actually sit at that distance ... there are various other factors .. for ex- room size etc... but if u say 32inches from a 8ft distance is not a good viewing distance! Though it is all visible ! I still feel u can shift a few few feet closer like around 5 ft and see if there is any change .. ask ur family members as well ! If u don’t see any change ! U can shift back to 8feet and enjoy ! Because since I said it all depends on the person who is watching it ..
For those, who does not understand what was Guruji actually trying to say ; Suppose the distance between you & your tv is 6 Feet. Therefore, 6 feet/1.6= 3.75 feet or 45 inches* should be your TV size, got it ( NOTE: *because when you convert 3.75 feet to inches, it will be 45 inches)

Guruji wrong For best size Divided the distance in inch to 3 For example, if you're usually sitting 10 feet from the TV, that's 120 inches (10 feet x 12 inches). Divide 120 by 3 and the recommended screen size for you is 40 inches
